I tried them last week. I don’t plan to return. Took my order to go. The apple croissant I had was raw in the middle and the fruit cup was 2⁄3 full, but fruit was not very ripe. Salad of the day had maybe ¼ cup chicken cubes(not fresh made); very little goat cheese and maybe 2 cups lettuce. My dressing was 1 oz at most. I had an iced latte. A true waste of $ 26. I was not at all satisfied with any of it.

This place looks like a typical café from the outside but it is a quaint delicious restaurant with great service! I would go all the time if I lived in Baldwin.

My five star goes to the almond croissant! It is yummy in my tummy! *drooling* I was satisfied with just eating that croissant. I’d come back just for it! Also they have a couple of outdoor seatings so I was able to enjoy the nice views of Baldwin Park with my two little fur babies! Great croissants and pet friendly… Yup I’m in!

Croissants are great. Service is so incredibly slow. The staff today were terrible. Out of coffee. Took 10 min to brew another pot. Then never brought a refill. Worst service possible. Obviously different when the owner is away.

Their customer service is top notch! The guy at the register walked me through the menu and was eager to recommend some popular menu items. I decided to go for a Croque Madame and a small Latte. The sandwich was hearty and had a good amount of cheese but I wish the fried egg would not have been cut off, and the yolk wasn’t as runny which is one of the main reasons to have it on a Croque madame. Their coffee is excellent, I thoroughly enjoyed my latte. Will definitely go back!

For the price we paid, I expected a little more food that was at least hot. The staff didn’t seem very organized and was a little frazzled. After ordering a simple omelet with hash browns and toast, it took about 45 minutes to get the food. Seems the staff needs some training and restructuring.

Terrific customer service, wonderful pastries and crepes, and nice coffee. The pastries are all made by the owners – French people who treated me very well when I visited last time! I wish they’d do latte art, but I think I’ve spoiled myself with hipster cafes. I’ve had great experiences coming here, and thankfully I’m in the area quite often, so I look forward to visiting this quaint establishment more. P. S. Their almond croissants are incredible. ;)

Wonderful food, coffee, and service! This was my first time here, but I’ll definitely keep returning. They have a beautiful selection of French style fresh baked pastries, crepes, and light breakfast items. They might serve more items than that, but I was on a breakfast mission and had my blinders on. I ordered the croque Madame(like a croque Monsieur with an egg on top) and my mother had a fresh apple croissant. Both were amazing! The coffee was equally enjoyable, but the real treat was the service. From the moment we walked through the door till we finished our meal, we were greeted with smiles, friendly helpful service and cheerful employees all around. Perfect way to start your day!

I am a French food fiend and so was excited to try this out when my daughter started swim lessons across the way. I hate to say, it was a disappointment. The service was a little disorganized and somewhat unfriendly. But, this is an order-at-the-counter joint, so, no bother. But… the food… I had a croissant with chicken, cheese, and mushrooms. It was not at all seasoned and really lacked flavor. My husband had an equally subpage sandwich. I ordered the quiche for my daughter and she rejected it. Not knowing if she was just being picky, I took a taste… and couldn’t blame her. It almost tastes as if the chef is trying to make French food healthy by leaving out all of the butter… because everything was just bland(and I never, ever say that about French food). Yet another Baldwin Park disappointment!

I live in Baldwin so when this place opened I was very excited being that there were no coffee shops here at the village center. The first week that it opened I went over there and I was thrilled to try everything! To my surprise, when I got to the counter, the person there as not very nice, nor smiling at all(I found out later that he was the owner), always with a bad taste in my mouth from that, I still went on to order a ham & cheese croissant and an espresso, my husband ordered a cappuccino. The coffee was perfect, they have a Lavazzo Italian coffee maker. The croissant was very disappointing, it wasn’t flaky not crunchy, it tasted as if I was warmed up in the microwave… What a shame. I have been back twice since to just have coffee and sit outside, though one time I did that I was asked to leave since I had been there for over an hour with my husband and kids(they were having ice cream from next door) hanging out, and I had only purchased two coffees. Wow!!! The beauty of Baldwin park, is being able to spend time outdoors with you family and enjoying a good, friendly environment. Since then I haven been back… I rather drive to Winter Park for coffee…

I go here for breakfast, it feels like almost every morning. The staff is always very friendly and courteous, and the food is always on point. Sweets range from fruit tarts, eclairs, macaroons or my favorite, the almond croissant, to savory quiches and omelettes. Additionally, Café 906 is only a couple steps from the beautiful lake front of Lake Baldwin.

Attentive service, good espresso, awesome pastries. What more could you want? Great little spot with a nice view of the street. The almond croissant was everything Unilocalers said it would be. Also delicious was the nutella crêpe. Minor gripe: the macchiato had too much milk(was more like a cappucino; normally, macchiato is two shots and just foam).

You can’t visit a French bakery without throwing around terms like«light» and«flaky» to describe the food, but let’s not forget two things about Café 906: First, it’s not merely a bakery, it’s a café with so much more. After placing your initial order while gazing at the lovely creations in the bakery case, you’ll enjoy dining on cute ceramic plates, drinking your coffee from a ceramic mug, and using real flatware. The staff checks back with you to ensure your experience is perfect, and clears your place — this isn’t a tray-hunt for a wastebasket at a fast-food joint. Second, the atmosphere is relaxing and conducive to enjoying your visit. Dining outdoors grants you a view of not only the palm-tree-lined, quaint streets of Baldwin Park downtown, but also of the fountain and the lake. Most of the tables are close enough to the street to grant these views. Inside the décor is immaculately clean and modern, in tasteful colors making you feel at home — as if the chocolate croissant didn’t already do that for you! :-) Everybody says the, because it’s true, and it happens to me also: Those light, buttery pastries, mildly-sweetened fillings, perfect crusts, and fresh ingredients composing flavorful quiches, marvelously-made crepes and omelettes, salads, and sandwiches do indeed evoke memories of my visits each morning to bakeries in France. Is it just me, or is Café 906 even better than those places? I think it’s better, because it’s bigger and more broad in offerings than just a bakery tucked away in, oh, say, Villefranche-Sur-Mer. And here, at Café 906, they seem to keep getting everything right. They find the ingredients to match what I once thought impossible — the creamy goodness of fresh-from-the-family-farm French butter and cheese. How can a Starbucks hope to compare with Café 906, where your food is made by a French family making everything to the level of quality they demand for themselves and their patrons? Try finding THAT at a chain coffee-house. In fact, try comparing the coffee, espresso, café-au-lait, and cappuccino. Here there are different blends chosen specifically for each type. The owner Vince is always available, and often whom you’ll greet at the front counter. Checkout is fast, so there’s really no way for me to justify a long line at a fast-food joint when I can be in-and-out of Café 906 in minutes with a stunningly floofey(yeah, floofey) blueberry croissant and a ham sandwich to save for my lunch, along with a better cuppa java than I’m gonna find elsewhere. Then there are the little things. I like that I get a small balsamic salad with my Quiche Lorraine — the perfect accouterment at any time of day. Vincent chooses the nicest, sweet/tart balanced Roma tomatoes to top super-fresh greens, and there is not overkill in the Balsamic vinaigrette, or in anything, really. These are the French classics, and they are not going to be screwed up by absurd experimentation with«nouvelle» spicing. It’s nice to be able to trust that you’re getting what you’re craving. That’s my experience here, every time. Not in the mood for quiche? The traditional French quickies like Croque Monsieur and Croque Madame are properly seasoned, grill-toasted to perfection, filled with the beloved gooey French cheese, and served piping hot. You can’t miss with an omelette filled with anything they have in-house you desire, and they have a plethora of vegetable fillings and select, high-quality meats. Yes, the menu items are in French, on a big chalkboard, but nothing is hard to figure out, and they’re usually explained right on the same board. And they’re on that board because some of the variations differ by day, week, and season according to what’s fresh. That’s the way you want it. And while the names are in French(though I think we can all figure out what an «omelette» is) there is no need for labeling items obscurely to fool you into thinking you’re somewhere oh-la-la-fancieeee. You’re at somewhere much more wonderful. In keeping with the theme of simplicity and tradition and perfect spicing/sweetening, even the little things matter — the tart fillings have just the right amount of sugar in the custard so you’re not overwhelmed by the goo, and you get the full sweetness of the fruit, and the flakiness of the crust to come through. The chocolate soufflé doesn’t kill with chocolate, but it’s not over-egged either. It floats on your tongue. Want some wine or Champagne with your late(or early!) breakfast or lunch? It’s here. The selection is small but well-chosen to accent the lighter foods here. On weekend mornings, the place hops, but still serves quickly. I recommend the weekdays when there is a good crowd, but more choice in the perfect table at which to enjoy yourself. This place is a treasure, but shouldn’t be reserved a rare treat. Good pricing lets you visit often and a great, new(–ish) location affords superb outdoor dining and a good parking situation.

Very cute spot for a casual patio brunch and a mimosa, followed by a stroll around Lake Baldwin. The almond croissant is delicious and the omelet was pretty good too, as were the crunchy hash browns that came with it. Super friendly owner who checked on us several times while we ate outside, and brought fresh water for our dog. Pricing was about what I expected given the rent they have to pay for this Baldwin Park location.

The coffee is expensive but good. I had a savory crêpe– the Nice. Took a while to come out. Cheese was not melted. Minimal amount of basil in it. It tasted OK. I feel like I could have made the same breakfast for myself for 1⁄8 of the price. But nice to have a little café in Baldwin Park.

Not having the great fortune of living in France with access to the boulangeries, we take this as a pleasant substitute! I think it is a bit pricey but knowing how expensive retail rent can be in Baldwin Park and how much I enjoy sitting outside their café with my croissant and cappuccino on Saturday mornings I will gladly contribute to keeping their doors open. Substitutions are frowned upon in French food culture. Yes this is America, but we should also respect that this is their café and also their decision to decline substitutions — as many other restaurants in the area choose to do. The baked chicken croissant and any of the savory crepes are my favorite. The baguettes are quite filling and we often share them.

Not bad, but nothing special. I ordered the baked chicken croissant and a hazelnut latte and my total came out to about $ 12.50. I was pretty shocked that the croissant was almost $ 8 but I just assumed it was just that good. The cashier was praising the béchamel sauce and when I asked what was in it she said milk, flour and eggs. Honestly, that doesn’t really help me identity a certain taste or flavor but I decided to get it anyway because I read on Unilocal that it was good. Unfortunately I was very disappointed. The meat and sauce in the croissant were so bland. The chicken was dry and lacked flavor and the sauce literally just tasted like milk, flour and eggs. At least the cashier wasn’t lying to me? The actual croissant was good and flaky, but that was probably the only part of the entire thing I actually enjoyed. The coffee was a disappointment too. It was definitely way too sweet and not enough espresso. I unfortunately wouldn’t go out of my way for this place.

It’s not very often that you run across a café that can take you back to Europe with a single bite. This shop is one of them. The food and treats are all very unique and equally delicious, and the cappuccino is the best I’ve had in a long time! I highly recommend it for brunch, lunch, or anytime!

What a lovely experience! I stopped by for a quick bite Btwn showings & listing appointments in Baldwin Park & discovered this gem! I was greeted promptly, the owner was friendly and helpful in suggesting a few items off the menu. It was pouring outside so after a delicious Crêpe Lyon w/béchamel sauce to die for I ordered a Nespresso cappacinno! Yum! I’ll be back to try the tempting baked goods soon!!!

Are you listening Orlando? Because I have a secret to tell you. Are you ready?!? Café 906 has THE best almond croissant in Orlando. Eeeeeee!!! Are you excited? No? Well, you should be! I went here to have a chit chat session with some family members on a really beautiful sunday afternoon. I walked in and ordered a bunch of items that I thought everyone would like. Beverage menu is on the right while everything else is listed on the left. After placing my order, I asked the owner if we could sit outside since we noticed all the tables were taken. He told me all the outside tables were open to everyone and that we would be served even if we sat a little further away from their storefront, awesome! As we sat down, our coffees and desserts were served. I loved my iced coffee as it had the perfect balance of taste and acidity! Others in my party enjoyed their hot chocolate and cappuccinos. I wanted my table to try a variety of things so I split a lemon tart, blueberry tart, & apple pocket. The desserts were lovely since they weren’t overwhelmingly sweet, which I really appreciate. Sidenote, where do they get their blueberries because they were freakishly HUGE! Midway during our conversation, I noticed both my mother and bf’s mother didn’t receive their almond croissants. Turns out the bakery didn’t have any at the moment so they were baking a fresh batch. Get out of here!!! So, the piping hot almond croissants were a welcomed addition to our table once served! What makes the almond croissants special here is the simple addition of almond paste and slivers on top of the croissant. Delicious! In the end, we asked for a to go box to pack all our leftovers. I appreciated how tin foil was placed in the bottom of the paper to-go box to prevent grease stains. It’s the little things! Oh, the outside seating is dog friendly so bring your fur baby!

The pricing is skewed. For Orlando, this bakery should be at least two $. It’s not cheap. Could have more variety with the pastry selection. Although, the flan and crêpe were both tasty. The flan was delicious — I highly recommend ordering the flan. It’s not too sweet and the breading is very crispy. The outdoor patio was nice, but we had to ask for them to wipe down our table. They also brought out one entrée at a time instead of all together. It was ok. I’ve had better though.

Located in Baldwin Park on New Broad Street, with a lovely view of Lake Baldwin from the patio or inside window seating. Nice place to stop in for a cup of coffee, breakfast or lunch. Breakfast sandwiches are tasty and priced well. The croissants are made in house, nice flavor. There is a tempting pastry case with croissants, fresh fruit tarts, dessert souffles and the like. I’ve enjoyed the Café 906 Iced Chai on my last two visits, an iced chai topped with a shot of espresso(Nespresso). The sweetness of the drink is cut down by the espresso shot, but the Chai spices still shine through. Very friendly staff and owners, the nice gal working the counter remembered my order from the week before. Plenty of air-conditioned seating, but the patio offers plenty of shade and is a great option in warm or cooler weather.

Oh how I love French food, and it’s awesome that this place is so close to my home! They used to have a Café 906 off of Fairbanks. I was bummed they were closed. But I guess they were just relocating here to Baldwin Park. When I walked in, I was greeted by the staff there. I was browsing through the menu on the wall and the girl at the counter started giving me suggestions and explained certain things as well. I ended getting a croque monsieur, which is basically a two slices of bread covered in swiss cheese, with ham in it, and some sort of sauce that I don’t know but it’s delicious. Clean place, cute chairs. Love it. Can’t wait to go back!
