This is an adorable shop brimming from floor to ceiling with hats of all kinds! I don’t own many but my cousin loves them so this was somewhere we had to take him. The right side of the store is designated for women’s hat styles and the left is for men’s. As far as women are concerned they have everything from big sun hats to headbands with cute feathers sticking out of them. The men’s side has fedora’s, top hats and even an Indiana jones hat! My cousin fell in love with a leather top hat but sadly it was over $ 200 and spending that on a twelve year old is a little much. He ended up choosing a bowler hat for a reasonable $ 40. I really like that the hat has a draw string built in to make the hat bigger or smaller. That will be helpful as he gets older. Everyone is very helpful in the store and there’s definitely a lot of variety. The best part is trying them all on!

Right next door to Tea Traders Café in the Disney Springs area of Walt Disney World is a fabulous shop that sells nothing but hats. Chapel Hats has an amazing and eclectic collection of funky and high fashion hats for sale. My friends Melissa and Todd(the darlings of Unilocal Tampa Bay), had been to Chapel Hats earlier in the year, and posted some very fun photos while they tried on hats in the shop. I had to add this place into my bookmarks, based solely on the photo of Todd wearing the furry animal thingie on his head! The first thing that you’ll notice when walking into their shop, is that everyone is laughing and clowning around as they try on hats. No matter what your style, from simple baseball hats, to Presidential top hats, to the«Kentucky Derby special», Chapel Hats likely has what you’re looking for, and they encourage you to try them on and look at yourself in the mirror. «Take pictures, pose with your friends, pose with the shop clerks — have fun!» I was shopping for a basic fedora to use in my 1920’s gangster era costume, but quickly found myself trying on all of these fabulous steampunk leather top hats, decorated with chain and bits of metal. Wow, you could build an entire Halloween costume around this one accessory. They had bowlers, fedoras, cowboy hats, Havana straw hats, berets and more… and that’s just on the men’s side of the shop. On the women’s side they had all kinds of big-brimmed floppy hats, and some serious pinkies-up, high fashion chapeaus that would be perfect for afternoon tea with the ladies in Atlanta. I was able to find the type of fedora that would have made James Cagney proud, and so I declared my stop at Chapel Hats a big success. If you’re in need of a simple head covering to beat the Florida sunshine, or something a bit more stylish for a special event, then be sure to add Chapel Hats to your list of places to visit in Walt Disney World.

Hats off to Chapel for their selection and prices. If you’re looking a practical hat for shade or a fancy hat that’s a show-stopper or maybe a funny hat, this is a fun place to check out. Since moving to FL I have started a nice selection of hats to try to avoid looking like a leather bag. I’ve shopped hats at boutique stores and those are too $$$$ and at Large Box stores which do not have much of a selection. Chapel has a TON of hats and sure you can spend some big bucks here but I found two great hats for $ 30. One was imported from Australia and had spf in the material. Very practical and useful especially if you’re going to any Disney park.

Chapel Hats is a great addition to Downtown Disney/Disney Springs. I went in about a week before Dapper Day to look for a fascinator. They said stock was a bit low at the time, but there was still a decent variety and I found a cute fascinator to complete my outfit. I stopped in again last night and they had a lot of new pieces that I don’t remember seeing before. So it’s nice to know they rotate the stock around. It was a bit hard for me to part with $ 40 for my fascinator that I’m probably only going to wear a few times. But on the other hand, it’s not like there’s a lot of local competition and I liked being able to go in and try stuff on rather than buying online. I didn’t spend a lot of time looking at hats, but prices seemed pretty comparable to another high end hat shop that I’ve visited in Savannah.

I stopped in to Chapel Hats recently on our visit to Disney Springs and fell in love with the shop. It’s got a wide variety of a selection and while it’s mostly geared towards the older shopper, it does have a few fun hats for the kiddos too. It’s interesting to watch this area develop and I’m glad Chapel Hats moved in. I hope they stick around for a long while. I don’t know if this will ever happen, but if I could find a time when they’re not so busy I could spend so much time in here trying on hats. Yes, I would eventually buy one(or two or three) but I would want to try as many on first to make sure I’m going home with the one I want. Especially since I’m going to be spending a pretty penny to do so.

This store is no Lids at the mall — hats up to $ 400 and bunches of eclectic styles. If you are looking for something unique and stylish — check this place out.

If you’re in need of a hat to block the sun here in Central Florida, they offer more than enough options at Chapel Hats. They have a large selection of Fedora hats in every color and style you can think of. Frank Sinatra would have been a big fan of this store! They are a bit pricey but I am assuming that’s based on quality. They also offer Kangol hats, just like the ones LL Cool J used to wear in the 80’s. The store itself is a bit small and when we visited, most people were just trying on hats and taking pictures so it was bit hectic. One side of the store is for women and the other side is for men. They do offer some funny hats for kids so my son was having fun trying out some funky ones. Chapel Hats is located in Downtown Disney.

I stopped in here the other day to check out this store in Downtown Disney not even realizing it was brand new – I just saw cool hats and thought, «Ooh!» The space is a little small and with the number of people inside browsing and trying on various hats, it can get it a little bit crazy. It is very nice inside, though, with plenty of mirrors and displays using reclaimed wood. But there are some really fantastic hats and – my personal favorite – fascinators for sale here! There are only 12 locations in North America so I feel pretty excited that we got one. They have a wide variety of options and some great brands. If you’re looking for your next Kentucky Derby hat, this could be the place to go!
