Comfort Suites Downtown

Very enjoyable place to stay. Why?
Price was low ($ 110 per night) especially compared with Courtyard on Magnolia.
Parking easy and free.
Free Breakfast was very good. Variety, fresh, tasty
Easy to get to I4, downtown or Winter Park.
Next to Florida Hospital and the staff knows many are family with sick folks. Very nice front desk and housekeeping staff.
Checkout at noon a plus,
Wendy’s and Panera’s right next door (get the Panera’s app and your order will be on the pickup area).
Xbox setup for my son was easy (open access rather than in TV cabinet).
Con-​WiFi, while dependible it was slow (upload and download 2 to 3, my T mobile Hotspot was 20 down and 12 up). Maybe all hotels are slow. I don’t know.

Clean and well thought out room, with easy access to the hotel amenities. Especially quiet, great breakfast buffet, and an overall good experience.

I’ve stayed here at least a handful of times now, since I travel here for work often. If it weren’t for the location, I’d stay elsewhere because I do prefer more modern updated hotels, but the hotel is right on N Orange, so you can’t beat it. It’s directly across from the hospital and you’re right next to Downtown, a few minutes from College Park and Winter Park.
The hotel interior is dated. really needs a face lift (see the photos). Nonetheless, I feel safe here, love the location, and keep coming back. At night, they lock the doors so you can’t ever without a key, unless you go to the front and ring for checkin (I like that extra safety).
The parking lot is very large, and it’s the only hotel with a great location in the area that doesn’t charge you to self-​park ($$), or force you to valet ($$$). There is no valet here, but there’s plenty of parking and they don’t charge you for it.
The complimentary breakfast (6:30−9:30) I usually skip or grab something simple right as I head out. It’s a pretty big spread though, from hot items (eggs, potatoes, etc) and a waffle station, to cereals, breads and pastries, to fresh fruit, yogurt and hard boiled eggs, and of course coffee and other drinks. There’s a Panera across the street if you sleep in, and a Wendy’s next door, both which are very convenient to walk to.
The amenities here are nice as well. All rooms have a fridge, a microwave, coffee machine, and a pull out sofa. It’s always nice to have a good size fridge in the room when staying for a few days so you can have leftovers, or just keep drinks in there.
I really wish they had at least a set of updated rooms you could pay extra for; I’d be willing to pay. All-​in-​all in comparison to other local hotels, I find this one to be the best value, location, and the best overall option for me. I finally joined the Choice Hotels program since I’ve been staying here at least a few days each month (too bad I couldn’t add the stays I’d previously had).
Oh — the staff is always very nice as well, from the front desk to the breakfast area.

I chose this hotel for its location. It was right by Florida Hospital. Family emergency. We left NY Thursday arrived Friday my nephew had already passed before we even made it to Florida. The check in was great went up to the room double bed & sofa for 3 what more can you ask for. The breakfast is what you would expect however you chose what you eat. I had cereal, eggs potatoes with toast. 2 cups of apple juice yogurt you get what I am saying I took some stuff up to the room for late night snacks. The 2 woman in charge of the food kudos all was perfect and great at least for me and my family. They were helpful if we needed something. The lady and man up in front reception were great. I want to also thank the lady who cleaned my room I think it was Antonette she was very nice. Sometimes you can go to high class hotels and not have workers greet you with a smile and be friendly as she was she didnt even know our situation but always smiling thank you. I noticed on the wall before getting in the elevator this hotel was part of the Undercover Boss show. My stay was great even though I didn’t go to have fun with my family the hotel stay was great and I would go there again.

Not the snazziest place but it’s definitely not the worst. The desk manager could work on his customer service instead of being on the phone talking about tv shows while helping me check-​in. Otherwise, breakfast was meh with it’s standard self-​make waffle, fried egg disks, sausage patties, potatoes, selection of carbs and bland coffee. It’s comfortable and affordable enough for the short stay and the bed was also nice and comfortable. I’d come back.

If you are looking for an affordable and convenient place for a quick stay, I’d say to give this place a shot. It was close, cheap and easy to get to from I-​4. Huge bonus that they have their own parking lot, so no extra valet fees.
We walked in and the place is dated… but service was nice and the lobby looked and smelled clean.
Our room, on the other hand, gave us whiffs of a smoking room past… but it wasn’t overwhelming. Maybe a bit of dog too, but a spray of cologne took care of most of it, and we weren’t in there too long anyway.
They have free wifi with decent speed, so you can get some work done. Bathroom and sheets were clean, bed was pretty comfortable, and the shower stayed hot. There’s a mini-​fridge and microwave, and a single serve coffee maker with crappy joe. The free continental breakfast smelled pretty good, but we passed. And if you happened to forget something, they have a vending machine with various toiletries… and Wendy’s, Panera and 7 – 11 close by too.
It ain’t fancy, but it did just fine, and I’d totally stay here again.

I have been staying at Comfort Suites Downtown for 22 days since my Dad had major surgery at Florida Hospital. Location is a significant plus because I can walk to the hospital. Second in importance is the 25% discount because my Dad is a patient. Third is the complimentary breakfast which is not only good but served early and by an A+ staff.

The bathroom towels had hair on them with a huge dead bug on the floor, I didn’t shower after seeing this. I was turned off on the place the rest of the night.
Very old looking never coming back

We stayed at the Comfort Suites in one of the efficiencies while our home was being remodeled after a flood. Everyone was so helpful! Loved the Belgian waffles every morning!
