Not honest business. If a company works with Groupon it is intended to be a promotional tool that would expose the business to customers, but however Computer Controllers has forever repelled me from this business or any other independent computer store. I live about 30 – 35 minutes away from this place and it took me 3 visits to finally make a refund. On my first visit I was told they ran out of supplies needed for the screen replacement, 2^nd one they told me I needed to make an appointment ahead of time and I look on their website. the next available date is 2 weeks away. Then finally on the third trip on the DAY I MADE MY APPOINTMENT I am expecting to have my screen fixed finally, but I go there and I am told my appointment was NOT IN THE SYSTEM. thing is the owner personally called me and said WE NEED TO RESCHEDULE and this was the rescheduled date… and i am told again they are not accepting the Groupons because of a «logistical error» bummer again. I was told I would receive a call when the issue was solved but it has been a week and my screen is still cracked. Horrible Horrible Horrible. Do not ever bother doing business with this company. Computer controllers has lost a customer instead of gaining one through promotion. I am utterly disgusted of this place and will never return

This review is of the NEW owners /​technicians at the store! I had my PC completely rebuilt by them and they also rescued data which I had thought I lost due to reformat and new OS installation.
Not only did they build me a beastly computer for a VERY reasonable price, but after when I had issues with the case I used (tried to cheap out and not buy a new case which caused the new pc to over heat) they drove to my house and worked all day switching all the components to a new case.
I live 3.5hrs (each way) from the shop location.
Not only did they go above and beyond for someone they had never met, I knew before hiring them that the techs knew what they were doing and WERE NOT going to take shortcuts in fixing my pc.
It looks like a lot of people had bad experiences in the past but I would vouch for the new techs 110%.
I just wish the shop was closer to where I lived! I will be recommending all of my friends in central FL to use these guys for any technological needs.

I bought a Groupon to replace the screen on my phone and they refused to honor it. They actually tried selling me a new phone instead! Not a good way of doing business!

Horrible service. Do not go here. I did the groupon too. 2 months later I finally had an apt. Walk into 7 other people in the shop waiting to get their phones fixed too. But the computers were down and no tech was available. No calls to let us know. I’m trying to get my money back. Gas just to get there was not worth it. STAY AWAY!

I will add to the chorus of horrible reviews. I dropped off an ipad min for screen repair. Two weeks goes by with no word on status despite multiple calls from me. I called again and said I was coming to pick it up repaired or not repaired. When I get there they tell me it’ll be another 30 minutes. I go grab something to eat. When I come back, I am told it is unrepairable. And they wanted a $ 35 diagnostic fee. They obviously never even looked at it until I got there to pick it up.
Avoid this place at all costs.

I hate to even give them 1 star as they aren’t even worthy of that. I purchased a groupon to get my phone screen fixed. I have never in my life dealt with such a poor business. I called prior to purchasing the groupon and they assured me they’d fix my phone the following week. They told me to book appt online but not to be alarmed when it gave me December for first appt. Someone was meant to call me to book an appt for the following week after my purchase. After not receiving a call for a couple days I then started calling them with no answer or call back after calling everyday for a full week. I would get someone who would take my name and number and assure me someone would call back. Most days I even called 2 or 3 times. They then told me to email them which again got no response. Finally I drove from Daytona to Orlando to speak with them in person. They took my phone and said it would be done within 5 hours, if not they would call. I never received a call and was forced to drive in again the following day as they still would not answer my calls. A different employee then told me they couldn’t fix it for 4 or 5 days as they were waiting on parts and when they got them I was behind 30 –40 other phones. I live in Sarasota and was passing through Orlando to go to Daytona for a couple days so I had planned to go on my way to or from Daytona as they assured me they could give me an appt that week.
I left with my phone and refuse to go back.

As the other reviews stated this place is a total rip off– purchased Groupon then told it would be an additional $ 180 to repair screen when my phone was working fine. I have never dealt with such an unprofessional company. Please do not go here. I do not want to give it one star but do not have a choice.

Terrible terrible. Had an appointment for 10am set and the store didn’t even open until 12pm. I had to wait for an hour plus. If you call their phone number it takes you to a phone service in another city. You cannot even contact them direct. It’s a runaround to do so. Anyway, had a groupon for $ 40 Iphone screen repair, when I get there it’s actually $ 100 more dollars and it’ll take 3 – 4 hours to do. GTFOH. This place is garbage.
I wish I could give zero stars too.
