I love Corrine Commons. Other than the rows of beautiful homes, it’s the first thing you see if you enter Baldwin Park using the Corrine Drive entrance.(Formally the official entrace of the NTC back in the day) Immaculately maintained soft bermuda grassy area directly in front of Grace Hopper Hall. Great place to attend BP events, and residents, you can even reserve this space for a special event. Lots of benches, sidewalks and dog friendly areas(still use leashes though!) At any weekend you can see a pick up soccer game. You will want to kick off your shoes and walk barefoot here guys!

Could not find this so called park. Where’s the playground if any? Not my idea of a park. No shade, no benches, no playground. Pretty homes and buildings to look at. Nice quiet quaint neighborhood with cute shops nearby.

As a resident of Baldwin Park, I use the Corrine Commons area for its gym and pool. I see others using the outside green area to play sports, or frisbee with their dogs. The gym isn’t really a place to write home about. It has about 10 machines, 1 elliptical and about 5 treadmills, smooshed into a small room. I always feel cramped when entering the gym and I wish they made it at least twice as big. It needs an open area to bring a mat in, to do floor exercises and stretches. Free weights and/or a pulley system would have been nice. But it’s just too small to accommodate any of those. What I really like about the area is the outdoor pool. It’s half olympic size, with 3 dedicated swimming lanes encompassing about 1⁄3 of it. I can usually find an open lane, or the area next to the inner lane can be used as a 4th swimming lane too. I try to come to the pool to do laps before 11AM on weekends. After that it starts filling up with families. So if you want your kids to come and play, after 11 is best. There are men’s and women’s bathrooms, but no real changing area inside, so you have to use the enclosed toilet. Although there are showers outside to rinse off, I’d prefer showers inside to take a real shower. Baldwin Park does offer plenty of lounge chairs around the pool, but that’s about it. There is no one on duty here. Occasionally you’ll see the pool cleaning guy. Use it at your own risk if you’re alone. This pool is heated.

This is an area pretty much central to Baldwin Park and just outside the downtown Baldwin Park area by a few blocks 1st off the grassy area is almost like a golf course and is used for a variety of events including concerts and festivals. It’s pretty large but framed by several condo’s but is a really great place to gather with your dog, kids and play Frisbee etc and have picnic lunch. Also gives you that kind of BIG city feel to be so nice of an area inside a neighborhood. The large building adjoining it is call Grace Hopper Hall(for those of you into IT and Military history you may want to look her up). Grace Hopper Hall is a resident’s only work out facility and pool area. There is also a second floor meeting space area. It’s also has ties with the historical past of Baldwin Park being the old Navy Base not only in name of Grace Hopper but just inside the main entrance are old maps and memorabilia of the Navy and Army base that use to stand in the spot now known as Baldwin Park.

Such a gorgeous open grass area located in Baldwin Park! It is a large open field surrounded by benches, trees and lush landscape. This is the perfect location for a picnic, to throw the football around or bring your pup to just chill. This location also hosts a ton of Baldwin Park festivals! Check it out, go relax and grab some sun, it’s so gorgeous.
