Del Taco

Slowest service in the world. I stood in line forever and waited for my fast food forever. Then my tostada was stale and the tacos were very very small.

I’ve spread the word far and wide about Del Taco in Orlando!!!
My first time ever getting to experience Del Taco and it was flawless! I’m literally craving this as I review it! The food was way more than I expected it to be! So so so good a d even BETTER than the typical fast food Taco joint (you know who) haha
The employees working were ALL very friendly and efficient. I really truly enjoyed my experience all around

It was fucking good if you are drunk and hungry this is the place you gotta hit man. I loved it I had the Carne asada quesadilla and guess what it was just amazing, service is nice and fast :)

I used to love Del Taco, my husband is from California, so we would go when visiting. I was excited that we had one in Orlando, so we could go whenever we went to Disney. I just made my last ever trip. The Macho tacos were awesome, best thing on the menu. Those are now gone. Originally, they only eliminated the combo, but now the item is gone altogether. The tacos I received instead were disgusting. Wet, soggy, tasteless. Fries are no longer an option, they give you a nasty, dried up cheese quesadilla. Quality has gone downhill drastically. I wouldn’t bother next time.

Certainly the best Del Taco in the south east. Stopped for lunch. Restaurant was clean at 12:30p and the staff was fast and friendly! A very good experience from a chain that I hope will continue to grow!

California girl, del taco is my favorite (a side from in n out) moved to Jacksonville FL. Went to universal studios and found this gem. I screamed cause I was so happy. It’s also as good as California’s too. I will drive the 2 hours to get this lol oink oink ;-)

If you are a misplaced So-​Cal boy and need your Del Taco fix, this is the real deal. Same menu as home– Del Combo Burritos, tacos, chili-​cheese fries, street tacos (crispy fish is closest to Rubios out here). I have yet to have their burgers but I have always been told they are legit. If you aren’t in the know, this place is mostly Mexican fast food… kind of like Taco Bell but tastes waaaaay better. If you are looking for the «New Hip Take on Mexican» or «grass-​fed organic tacos» look elsewhere. If you want to feel like you are in Barstow on the way to Vegas, back in Anaheim, or 32^nd St San Diego, this is the place.

In search of Churros!!! A friend and I were on a Churro hunt tonight and thanks to Unilocal we found out they are in supply at Del Taco.
I’ve only been to Del Taco twice (once for a free milkshake on my birthday and once for late night tacos) and both times certainly met my expectations. Tonight was no different.
We ordered the cheesecake bites (2 for $ 2.40 or 4 for $ 4.20) and they were actually bite (s) size. It took about 4 bites to eat one of those. They came out piping hot (Thanks DT!!!) so we had to wait a few minutes before we could indulge. They were delish. I am curious how they would taste without the caramel inside, and rather as a dipping sauce. We also ordered Churros (1 for $ 1.00). Not only were the Churros huge but they were fresh and hot. This was my first time really eating one so I’m glad I had a great experience.
I recommend Del Taco if you are looking for a quick and inexpensive taco, churro, or milkshake fix. The staff is always super nice and service is speedy! I’ll be back for sure!

Del Taco is a perfect quick grab and go place. Nothing fancy but the quality of food is very good for the price. Open 24 hours and offering breakfast, wish we found this place sooner and avoided joints like Denny’s. If you’re in a hurry and hungry, this is the place to go!

Don’t want to a cliché. But, good memories from back home! The chicken avocado burrito was soooo good. And you can’t go wrong with the grilled chicken soft tacos. Yes it’s a bit strange that they serve fries but for some reason it goes well with the tacos.

Service has something to be desired. The food is awesome, BUT the churro was old and stale. …

I visited this spot while on vacation. The service wasn’t great. The cashier wasn’t helpful when I was ordering. The taco salad comes with different meat choices and she didn’t let me know so we got stuck with ground beef. I also ordered the macho nachos and the steak wasn’t that good. The rest was ok.

I love Del Taco but this location is terrible.
There hasn’t been one time in the 3 times I tried to go here that I’ve waited 20 minutes in the DRIVE-​THRU. You might think, «Oh she was probably behind 5 cars.»
No. I was the only one. Each time I think that they are making my food fresh and that’s why it’s taking long, right?
No. It’s ice cold. So what the heck are you doing back there. I always see at least 7 employees in the back.
The last time I went I stayed at the ordering box for 7 mins with no response so I drove up. The chick was ignoring me, texting on her phone, and furthering ignoring everybody else that drove up to the box.
It’s so disappointing cause it’s inexpensive, and good.

Taco, taco and and burger with fries? Why do you call yourself Del Taco. But served fries part of your meal. I guess to please the non-​taco eater. Please keep to the script. Had the soft taco meal. Don’t know what kind of meat was in it. And it came with fries…

OMG! They Truly have changed the people, their Pride, etc. Todays dinner of our party of 5 –was fast and made to order and everything was Correct. !!! Coming back later for more…

To be honest, I am not sure what all the hype is about this place. My girlfriend and room mate are both from California and love this place. So, me being from Maryland, I’m unfamiliar with the brand.
We went in there one night after we were playing laser tag, I purchased a couple quesadillas and some fries. Which I thought could be a fun combination. After all, when do you see those items together on a menu. We took all of our food home.
Perhaps it was the twenty minute drive; but by the time we started digging in, the cheese had started to melt beyond oozing. The taste was ok, nothing to write home about.
I think the next time I go, I will just purchase fries, which was the highlight of my meal.

There is not much to say, this is a quick place to grab lunch or dinner or just a snack. If I had to compare it, it would be similar to Taco Bell but MUCH better. They offer lots of different options but I have only had the tacos. They also serve breakfast but again I have not tried it.
The tacos are really good and cheap. I really like that the cheese is like actual cheese and the meat is «real» meat. (Im comparing to Taco Bell where everything seems fake).
The line moves pretty quick and I have never really had to wait long to get my food. The employees are usually very nice and polite. I beleive that they originate in California, so there is only this one, I beleive in Orlando. It is really close to major tourist areas including Universal Orlando and the outlet mall.
If you are looking for something cheap but good and good quality food for less, then this is a great place to go.
I ran across this once, I beleive you have to spend a certain amount like 5 dollars to use your card. I wanted only 1 taco as a snack and was not able to use so I had to order more to make the bill higher to use my card. That would be my only negative.

Vel Tino Jr is the man! Best cashier at Del Taco. This location is open 24 hours and he’s here til 2am. Swing in and say hello, you won’t be disappointed!
We had the most delicious fish tacos and the best part is, it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg (or a fin) haha! After we ate 2 fish tacos, we went back for another satisfying round of the same.
Be sure to get a churro for $ 1.00. They are 3.50 at Universal Studios. Be sure to grab a cookie or 3!
We are hitting up this del Taco again on this vacation! Yummy yummy yummy ;)

It surprises me when a fast food restaurant can satisfy both my craving for a good meal and my craving for interaction with kind people.
This Del Taco rocks.
I was just getting back from Orlando Studios feeling absolutely famished when I stumbled across this gem.
Vel Tino Jr was my cashier and he made my experience so much better. Providing me with suggestions (my taste buds love the dollar menu burritos and chili cheese chips), information (24 hour dining area and everything made to order), and smiles (he made it a priority to talk with me while I was ordering as well as when I picked up my order).
I would highly suggest coming to this Del Taco. From the clean and pristine tables to the hot and fresh food, seriously – you can’t go wrong.
TIPS & TRICKS:
* Cheap tacos every Tuesday and Thursday – and by cheap I mean the price, NOT the quality.
* Try the $ 1 churros, the cheesecake bites, and cookies. Winner winner.
* The fish tacos are killer. Try it with some guacamole and make sure you use the slice of lime to top it off.

Say what you will about Del Taco, but I think it kicks Taco Bell’s ass. You get much more food for your money, and I feel like the ingredients are much more quality and fresh.
First time I ever had a Del Taco wasn’t Las Vegas many years ago, so when a couple of new locations came to Central Florida recently I was looking forward to it. I’m nowhere near the University of Central Florida location; however, the one on I-​Drive is not too far from my place of business so I’ve bounced over there for lunch a couple times (although the exact location kinda stinks).
I keep it pretty simple as far as what I order: chicken and bean burritos. Usually three but they’re so large I have no doubt two would suffice. Perhaps I’ll be a little adventurous on my next visit and order something new.
All in all I’m a big supporter of Del Taco and happy to have them in the Orlando area now.
