Don’t Tell Anyone DTA

I really wanted to like this place. I thought the speak easy concept was cool, but it wasn’t put into action. They were out of basically everything except really expensive wine and really cheap beer at 8pm on a Saturday. I’m sure they won’t be in business much longer. There were 2 bartenders. They were very friendly.

The space has potential, but the fact that the 6 bartenders working the bar struggled to get service to the 25 people at the bar… you have to wonder. They weren’t even good drinks! I personally saw the bar tender poor the vodka and it was a splash at best. The atmosphere wasn’t defined. Is it a dance bar with a wide open DJ space or a small intimate space with tables to jibe to the beats. Choose one or the other. But the pretentious service needs to go. Seriously.

Not a speakeasy it should be a speakloudy with the DJ spinning top 40. Seems like the bartenders only know how to make their specialty drinks and also the bartenders seem to pick who they want to serve. Took way too long to get a drink and it’s not crowded.

The atmosphere and vibe are great. The speakeasy style is very cool, and the entrance is actually around the corner from the listed address.. However the drinks are overpriced and not strong. The first time we went it was for a private event, great music. I had The Real McCoy, which was very good, and unique. We ordered appetizers, they were overpriced for the amount of food.
The 2^nd time we went, we had a group of 6. The DJ was good, played a great variety of music. We ordered the same drink twice, but the 2^nd round came in a different, clearly smaller glass. The waitress tried to tell us it had the same amount in the 2^nd glass. We sent it back telling her we wanted the original glass. When it finally came out, it was obviously the same drink we sent back, just poured into another glass with added ice. Ridiculous.
My friend had ordered one of the Martinis (sorry cant remember which), it came with a little orange peel in it, she said it was delicious. When she ordered round 2, she received a different drink, which was disgusting. The bartenders there need to learn to make the same drinks. Bc I like the venue and vibe, I would go back.

This place has a slightly pretentious feel to it. The «Cigar Bar» entrance with the retractable door is cool, and the inside is BEAUTIFUL, but I feel like you have to be a beautiful person ready to drop two or three benjamins to fit in. Don’t get me wrong, I enjoy classy, but there is a difference between classy and elitist, which is the feel I get here.
The staff is super friendly and super helpful when navigating their drink menu… and at $ 11-​$ 14 a cocktail they should be. Granted these are crafted cocktails, not just slung drinks, so they do take a little more time to prep, but I“m not so sure they warrant a NYC Price Tag in Orlando.
Overall, if someone were to ask me to go, and offer to buy, I wouldn’t say no… but I don’t think this place will come to mind for me and my friends as a first option.

Speak Cheesy. This concept gets lost in itself after the bookcase entrance…
On the positive note the staff were very friendly and helpful, & DTA seemed like it has potential, but virtually every aspect was a miss. The choreography of the space was awkward, a total disconnect in flow past the «not so dramatic» bookshelf entrance, the 90’s freestyle music shouts «NOT COOL, NOT RELEVANT, NOT SEXY», the very short list of crafted cocktails, one cheap champagne by the glass option, the awkward routing of guests to the bar area, the bench seat that block 7 spots at an already crowded bar, the lack luster and not so cozy «VIP» area, and the details go on & on. The experience unfortunately falls short of conveying an adventurous, mysterious, swanky, anything goes, speak easy vibe. This is the type of place for a «tiara and penis pops» bachelorette party, or a chest bumping frat house reunion, not a sexy adult night out.
My recommendation, consult a team with vision, go back to the drawing board, focus on ONE COOL idea & try not to convolute the concept with every investers lame & conflicting ideas of a night club experience.

Cheesy attempt at being an exclusive social club. Comfortable space, though. Just a pain how they take reservations. The drinks are way overpriced for even Manhattan, let alone Orlando. Who would pay $ 225 for a bottle of Grand Marnier? Retail for a bottle of 150 is $ 200. Regular Grand Marnier? $ 30. The drinks were also watered down. You have to work to water down a dirty martini. Service was excellent, though. Not coming back.

If you are in the market for overpriced, watered down drinks, this is the place for you! It doesn’t so much have a speakeasy feel but a night club vibe. Given that there are a number of other great bars in Orlando, I wouldn’t recommend spending your time and money at this one.
