First Baptist Orlando

I’ve never been to this church but I just read all the reviews. The one star review stood out so I looked at the reviews other reviews. He makes fun of Jesus, says the bible «is stupid», and a lot of his reviews are with just unclever attempts to try to be clever or about beer or bars. I seriously doubt either 1) he attended the church or 2) he’s an authoritative on what a church/​Christian service is. Do your own due diligence when you consider every review.

I’ve been going to this church for about one year now and after visiting several churches in the Orlando area I find this to be my church of choice now. I love the humility and authenticity of Pastor David. And that seems to have flowed out to the pews. I’ve recently got involved with the singles group that I enjoy as well. There is wonderful music in the services and much diversity in the church itself! I would recommend those looking for a solid church to visit sometime.

Having grown up in «the church,» gone to a Bible based college, and doing studies on my own, I thought I was pretty informed «Biblically.» After attending services and watching on tv, I realize I have so much to learn. EVERY SINGLE SERVICE, God shows me new and wonderful things about His vision for me.

amazing place! It’s such a beautiful church, we feel the Holy Spirit, the people are lovely, the worship is amazing and the pastors (David and Danny) are lovely and kind!

We begin with a prayer.
«Let us stand now, unbowed and unfettered by arcane doctrines born of fearful minds in darkened times. Let us embrace the impulse to eat of the Tree of Knowledge and dissipate our blissful and comforting delusions of old. Let us demand that individuals be judged for their concrete actions, not their fealty to arbitrary social norms and illusory categorizations. Let us reason our solutions with agnosticism in all things, holding fast only to that which is demonstrably true. Let us stand firm against any and all arbitrary authority that threatens the personal sovereignty of One or All. That which will not bend must break, and that which can be destroyed by truth should never be spared its demise. It is Done.»
That said, I found service at First Baptist last week to be less than thrilling. Contemporary Christian music is horrible, and though they try, they really can’t put lipstick on this pig. I’d more likely wake up to some old balls-​to-​the-​wall hymns than you-​are-​holy-​holy nothingrock. Just saying. Give me something I can sink my teeth into.
Also, 1 Samuel 15:3 should be cited with every affirmation of «Jesus loves you.»
I also found the overformatting of all their signs in the lobby to be distracting.

This was my first visit to this church and my first church service ever in Florida. I was looking to see where God would take me for a new church home. I am not saying this is it, but so far so good. I went on easter so the service was gonna be a tad different from the regular service. I must admit I was impressed with the sanctuary. It was nice and roomy with plenty of seats to go around and the sound system was awesome. I liked how they have the baptismal pool up top where everyone can see it. (What a special moment in your life to give to Christ) Also the band was definitely on point with the music and the worship leaders were also very very good. I thought the pastor did a great job in communicating his message about the importance of the day and what it represented for so many Christians around the world. The reenactment was also 4 stars!!! They showed what happened to jesus and the ultimate sacrifice He made for us by dying on the cross, only to rise on the 3^rd day. (If your not sure what happened, you can look it up in a bible or somewhere online). The campus was huge!!! I mean plenty of parking and a nice sized lobby area in the welcome center. Overall I can tell that God had blessed this place and will continue to do so. If He leads me here, then I will definitely be happy.

I have been attending here for several months now and really enjoy the experience. The teaching, fellowship, and property are first rate! My wife, kids, and I, are all involved in the life groups. Pastor David and his entire staff are atentive, humble, and so so kind! If you are looking for a place to call your Church home, I think you’ll find it here!

First Baptist Church of Orlando is a huge church! They have a massive sanctuary along with all kinds of other big buildings for worship, fellowship, and education. I went here for the first time this summer with some friends for a Promise Keepers event. We had a really good experience. It was a great event and the senior pastor, Dr. Uth, spoke and some point and I was really impressed with him. I haven’t been to a normal Sunday service, but I can recommend this church to just about anyone that is visiting Orlando or if you are a local looking for a solid Baptist experience.

This Church is Absolutely Heart Warming and Makes You Feel Like Home. Beautiful Inside and Out, Cheerful Crowd, & The Music is One of a Kind. They Have a Great Staff and Helpful in Many Ways. Try it out if You would like Help to Believe Again.
