Golden Corral

Quantity and selection is awesome. They have a cotton candy machine which was a great surprise. For a person like me with a sweet tooth, they have French toast and pancakes with four syrup choices and fruit toppings. Awesome!
Servers are hit or miss. Ours the first visit was terrible and the second visit was one of the best servers I’ve ever had.
They have omelette station to order. So many choices that you can try a little of everything and everyone in the family can have what they want.

Hands down the best Golden Coral I have ever eaten at. I normally don’t eat at buffets because it seems very unclean to me, with everyone serving themselves with unclean hands, kids roaming unsupervised. To my surprise all of the food was fresh, staff was helpful & kind and the place was clean. When I come back to Florida this place will be a defiant!

No holiday is complete without a visit to this restaurant on International drive. You always get a great welcome and a lovely smile, there is something for everyone on the buffet and it is so cheap

This was my first time visiting this Golden Coral. I was pretty impressed. The severs were nice. The quality of food was great. Most of all the prices was really reasonable. I’m a fan. What I loved the most was the catfish. I was on vacation when I went to visit. I will for sure will visit again.

You get what you pay for.
It’s really BAD here.
Racial descrimination & customer service is just way below «sea level» which is worse.
It’s my first time to get this disappointed.
If I could only put negative stars, I’d put it.
Well, despite of 95% of those negative things I’ve encountered our server was nice and attentive.

I really enjoyed the food I always ask the managers of every location what do you do different to your food at your location each of them reply we cook with the same recipes. The food at this location is very good. I have been to many Golden Corral but this one is on the top of my list.

Umm… where do I start. Well, for starters, my son who loves bacon, refused to have any of the bacon at this buffet. His six-​year old palette couldn’t stomach the barely cooked floppy bacon swimming in grease. Next, of the plates I grabbed, half of them had food remains still stuck on them. My brother, who was excited to eat there for breakfast since he was there for dinner, ended up with curdled milk when he opened his milk carton. Finally, it’s hard to eat at a location that is unkempt. The carpet stained floors and the sticky countertops did not create an atmosphere that prided itself in providing a pleasant eating environment. It’s only saving grace was the freshly cooked waffles.

Golden Corral has slowly been going down on quality. They were never fine dinning but now they don’t even offer tomatoes at the salad bar. This location in particular seemed very run down and dirty. I think I’ve officially gave up on then.

I gave this restaurant one star because this app will not let me leave ZERO STARS. I’m not a fan of buffets to begin with but we had a large group of people with different dietary needs so this seemed to be the best solution. I can’t remember when I’ve been to a nastier place to dine. Half of the «stations» were empty so there wasn’t much selection. I will say that the lettuce was fresh so we had a lot of salad. No one ever came by to ask to refill our drinks. The worst, however, was as I headed to the restrooms I could smell «waste» very strongly. Turns out that someone had an accident right on the rug in the middle of the hallway in front of the bathroom doors! But wait… That’s not the worst of it. It was left there for so long that someone actually stepped in it by accident. It took this restaurant at least 15 minutes to address this issue and clean it up. I have never EVER encountered something so disgusting in a dining establishment. They have a huge plaque by the front door calling themselves a «model restaurant»… Ha!!!

This place isn’t bad if you want a variety! The food is OK but nothing special. I normally don’t go to these kinds of places to eat but my coworker really wanted to go so we did. Service is a little slow to get a refill on your soft drink.

This place is wrong on sooooooooo many levels. To start with, I wasn’t expecting much. I don’t like buffets and typically don’t go to them, but since I was trying to please two very picky children I figured, why not? Well, here’s why not. The place is dirty. I mean DIRTY. I’ve never seen such a filthy buffet, even for a buffet it was nasty. Next the workers are rude and lack the least bit of customer service. I asked them a question and they COMPLETELY ignore me. Several items on their buffet were completely empty and I and another customer next to me repeatedly asked the workers for the items and they completely ignored us. One lady, started talking to another employee in Spanish but none of them acknowledge us. I’ve truly never seen nothing like this. I was expecting the worse, but this was beyond the worse. They need new management or something. Oh, and on top of all this they have the audacity to have a sign up that says they are a model restaurant. Model what? Model who? No, no, no!!!

My family made a stop to this Golden Corral (GC) during our vacation to Walt Disney World. In Hawaii, we always saw commercials for this eatery and the buffet always looked so good. Thus, when we realized that there was a Golden Corral that wasn’t too far from where we were staying, we decided to check it out one night for dinner.
Though the eatery was super crowded and claustrophobic – making my aunt and grandma vow to NEVER enter a GC again – my cousins and I rather enjoyed the restaurant because of the HUGE buffet selection at a decent price. I was able to find many menu items that I liked. If we had just gone to GC on a normal weeknight (not a Friday night) and NOT at prime dinner time, maybe the eatery would have been less crowded and less full of big families like ours. But for what it was worth, I enjoyed my visit to GC and would be willing to visit another location someday.
I don’t remember much about our dinner visit, except for the fact that there was a lot of food to choose from and my cousins and I had a blast exploring the different options. AND they had a chocolate fountain. Bonus points. Here are some of the menu items we enjoyed:
«Fried Chicken»: I love me some delicious, golden-​brown fried chicken with a crunchy, crispy exterior and soft, flavorful interior. I only took one piece from the GC selection so I had room to try a ton of other stuff, but the chicken was juicy and crunchy.
«Fudgy Brownies»: Brownies are one of my favorite treats, and though these may have not been the best brownies I’ve ever had in my life, I liked the soft, chewy and moist consistency. They were especially good when topped with the soft serve.
«Spring Rolls»: I can’t remember exactly what was in these spring rolls, but I remember the exterior was crunchy and crispy … which was satisfying. I can’t stand soggy spring rolls.
«Pepper Jack Cheese Cubes»: Yum! This was a memorable part of the salad bar for me, as I love Pepper Jack cheese and helped myself to multiple cheese cubes.
«Spinach Bacon Salad»: I usually go big on the salad bar part of any buffet, but I only got a little bit of this salad because there were so many other things to try at this buffet. I was pleased to see that the spinach was fresh and I liked the bacon bits that were included throughout the salad.
«Potato with Bacon Soup»: I opted for this creamy potato with bacon soup because it featured some of my favorite components … and I prefer creamy soups over more liquidy versions. I loved the rich taste of the potato-​based broth and made my soup a liquid version of a traditional baked potato by adding some extra cheese.
«Chocolate Chip Cookies»: I like chewy, soft chocolate chip cookies, so the bite-​sized morsels at the GC’s dessert bar didn’t disappoint in the least.
«Macaroni & Cheese»: If a buffet includes mac & cheese, you can bet that I’ll be having a taste. I only got a little of this cheesy concoction, but I was satisfied. It wasn’t the best mac & cheese I’ve had on earth, but it was sufficiently gooey, cheesy and creamy … which is really all I look for in a satisfying mac & cheese dish.
«Soft Serve Ice Cream»: The dessert bar in any buffet is my absolute favorite, and I love putting some soft serve on top of other desserts. In this case, I topped some of my fudge brownies with the vanilla soft serve, but I had to limit my soft serve intake in order to try some of the other featured desserts …
«Chocolate Fountain»: This was probably one of the highlights of the dessert buffet for me because I hardly get to see chocolate fountains (except for like at winterballs and semi-​formal events during high school). But I enjoyed dipping some of the moist cakes from the dessert bar (cheesecakes, etc.) in the chocolate fountain. Definitely a fun treat for the kids (and the kids at heart).
«Chocolate Molten Volcano Cake»: Chocolate molten/​lava cakes have to be one of my favorite desserts of all time, so I made sure to get a little bit from this buffet. The cake was moist and warm, and the fudgy center was decadent and on point … delicious and I would get more the next time I visit GC.
«Cotton Candy»: This had to be my girl cousin’s favorite part of the dessert bar. She just loved that fluffy, pink cotton candy … and probably would have eaten more if my aunt didn’t limit her.
«Garlic Cheese Biscuits»: I can’t remember exactly what these biscuits tasted like, but I do remember grabbing them because I love the garlic-​and-​cheese combo. The biscuits reminded me of garlic bread, as well as the cheesy biscuits («Cheddar Bay Biscuits») that I really like from Red Lobster.
«Mini Peanut Butter Cream Tarts/​Peanut Butter Fudge Tarts»: I can’t remember grabbing these tarts, but I’m sure to keep an eye out for them the next time I hit up the dessert bar. Chocolate and peanut butter has to be my favorite dessert combo, so anything with that great medley is sure to catch my eye (and captivate my taste buds).

By far the best Golden Corral in Florida. Very clean. Helpful staff. Plenty of fresh food. Only thing I don’t like is the chocolate fondue fountain. Kids were putting there hands in it, but not the restaurants fault, parents need to watch there kids. Great place.

You get what you pay for, and I enjoyed my first time at Golden Corral. I’m from Hawaii, so we get the commercials but no actual restaurant. For an all-​you-​can-​eat buffet for around $ 14, I was satisfied. I liked the steak and salad bar with all the fixings. The steak cook was initially suspicious of my friend who ate 5 steaks one after another, but then he was excited to see that my friend ate them all and didn’t waste. The ice cream was not frozen well, and the fish tacos were straight up nasty. Still, we’re not at a 5-​star restaurant here, so I say to just enjoy what’s available.

This location had a really nice staff. I just couldn’t do with the food. The food was fairly mediocre at best. There was nothing that I ate and said ‘man, that was awesome, I need to have more’. I also went for a Sunday dinner buffet and was charged for steak even though I don’t eat red meat.

I’ve been to plenty of GCs over the years and overall I’ve liked them all. This one is okay simply because it’s in a tourist trap area.
The wait staff is friendly but unfortunately a bit dogged due to the high occupancy they deal with every day. The food is okay. The salad bar is stocked well, which is a plus for me since I like to fill up with salad. The hot items are good, just not something to be overly impressed with.
For the most part it’s a serviceable place to fill up before going into the parks or after a long day in lines.

This Golden Corral was horrible the tables were dirty, some of the food was cold, and there was no available seating…
Then on our way out these 2 guys tried to get us to sign up for something and they were very pushy when we declined they even followed us out the door it was a very uncomfortable experience

I’ve gone to plenty of golden corral’s and have had good experiences but this one by far was the worst one i’ve ever gone to. The food here was tasteless. I will not be going back to this location.

I don’t remember Golden Corral being this bad, but I haven’t been to one since I was a kid in a mac and cheesy haze.
It’s a buffet so I’ll just dive right into my experience with the food.
Broccoli and Cheese Soup — processed and overly salty. I think they continuely add the milky broth into the old because the milky broth tasted a tinge sour.
Salad — Ok but that is hard to mess up isn’t it. One complaint is that it gets messy, when a bunch of kids come through and toss the salad ingredients around.
Baked Fish With Shrimp And Lemon Herb Sauce — The shrimps were shrimpier than most shrimps, baked fish seemed haphazard, not made with care, sauce needs less salt and more lemon and herb
BBQ Pork — tough and slathered in BBQ Sauce won’t hide this atrocity
Chicken Breast — Dry, make sure you have a drink on hand or you might choke
Golden Delicious Shrimp — More like Burnt and Greasy Shrimp
Fried Mushrooms — okay
Green Beans — from the can
Mac and Cheese — Kids will like it, but it is sub par
Soft Serve Ice cream — something is wrong with the texture.
Pie, Cheese Cake, Cookies, — out of the box, okay for something sweet.
I was dragged here. Probably great for a family that whats everyone to fill their bellies and isn’t picky about the quality of food.

Ich war schon in vielen Filialen von GC, aber die hier in Orlando gehört eindeutig
zu den besseren. Die Srcambled Egg’s genau so wie der Bacon Superfrisch. Auch der Kaffee
war im gegensatz zu mach anderen Filialen sehr gut. Das Restaurant machte einen sehr sauberen Eindruck. Zum Abschluss gönnte ich mir noch eine Portion Banana-​Pudding, hier gibt es zwar ein einheitsrezept, aber dieser hier war irgendwie besser. Zum Abschlu dann noch einen kalten Orangejuice, das war tolles Frühstückserlebnis

I admit I’m not generally a fan of Golden Corral, so my review should be considered in that context. That being said, my wife LOVES Golden Corral so I’ve been to a lot of them. There are some that are pretty good, others not so much.
This is one of the latter.
First the good: friendly staff and very good service. The restrooms are cleaner than most GCs. The selection is good and the layout is conducive to moving the huge crowds through the buffet. And finally, the salad bar is decent with a good selection of toppings (although the meat toppings on the bar are, like the other meats noted below, not good).
Now the bad: the food quality is sub-​par. Now when I say that, I am comparing it to other Golden Corral restaurants as a baseline. The steak is tough, the pot roast full of gristle, the chicken fatty, and the ham is extremely low quality. For a place near three major theme parks, there isn’t nearly enough pizza — whenever it’s set out, it’s devoured almost instantly. Finally, the floors are filthy but I think that’s a function of the high traffic and not so much due to the efforts of the staff.
My advice is to avoid this particular Golden Corral. Try the other one in town, which I remember being better than this one.
