Mum and I were in the neighborhood with some time on our hands so stopped in here on a whim and were pleasantly surprised! Some of the prices were amazing — they had a lot of lotions from the now defunct Westgate resort for 10cents for a travel size ball. Also done amazing wooden furniture and I spotted commemorative plates from the Norman Rockwell collection for $ 15 each — I googled and the plates were being sold for $ 35 on eBay! I would def come and have a wander if looking for furniture– you might be surprised by the cost and value! Note: #134 of Unilocal 100 challenge for 2016

They’ve re-arranged the store since my last review, and now have what seems like a much larger furniture section to your left when you enter the store, with housewares now situated just to the right of the cashier as well as along the back wall. It’s still on the small side but is a better arrangement. As always, you’ll find the same assortment of hardware, fixtures and doors in addition to furniture and housewares.

I always like to swing by the Habitat ReStore before beginning any home improvement projects just to see if I can save a few bucks. Today I was looking for gardening supplies. I bought a few nice flower pots for a good price. There was a lot of food in the store, which is a bit unusual. $ 12 Protein powder seemed like a great deal, but I was unsure of expiration dates so I passed it up. There is always a lot of seasonal stuff. Today there were racks of new Halloween costumes, glow sticks, pumpkin accessories, and baking mixes. I now own enough Halloween cupcake liners to last me a couple years. Only complaint… The cashier didn’t give me my change. Only .50 and I would have dropped it in their donation jar anyway, but that was just odd. Oh well. Still a great deal. And all for a good cause, so I’m happy!

This newest location of the Habitat Re Store just opened, and doesn’t have a lot of inventory yet. But I was told that its building daily. They’re trucking items in from the warehouse every day. As with the OBT store, they sell donated items for the home, both new and used. When I visited today I saw a fine rattan furniture suite from the ‘50s, basic working refrigerators for $ 75.00, washing machines, doors, dishwashers, lighting fixtures, detergent, etc… Anything for the home can be found here if you go on the right day. If you see something you like, but don’t like the price, just ask! Prices are negotiable. . Maybe you can work out a deal. Just ask. This store is in the old Sound advice location on E Colonial near the Executive Airport, and it’s clean as well as offering heat and air conditioning for your shopping comfort. And like every Habitat store, they are happy to accept your tax deductible donations, if you have too much stuff in your house! A new(air conditioned) store has opened at 4835 E Colonial Drive Orlando, FL32803. Its a bit smaller, but check it out if you’re in the area.
