Don’t bother going here if you’re a minority. Came here several times, hours before they closed, including right when they opened on Saturday, only to be told to come back another day. I can understand if they were full but they clearly had open bays and a few workers standing around. Not only that, but non minority customers who came after were taken care of.

Came in with a 20 year old car that needed an entirely new AC system. Jim brought the job in at a price I could live with. This is an old-​fashioned mechanics shop. Do the job, do it right the first time, dont just keep replacing parts until you find what’s wrong.

horrible… spent 500 $ 3 weeks later AC doesn’t work, took car back… they came out ran some test and emptied a little Freon out and said” welp, thats should it” said it was fixed… i left and 20 min later AC still doesn’t work… I’m done with this place TOTAL RIP OFF DO NOT GO HERE AT ALL!!!

I went there to get my air conditioning diagnosed. It wasn’t blowing cold air and I had just recharged the freon. I told them I just wanted the free diagnosis and if anything was going to cost money, to consult me first. After waiting about 20 – 30 minutes, the woman at the desk told me I was out of freon and it would be $ 130 to recharge in order to do the diagnosis. I said that I just recharged it and she said maybe it was leaking. I said to forget it and I left. I went to the next ice cold air (different business) just up the road on e colonial. I asked about my freon and if he’d need to recharge it to do a diagnosis and he laughed and said that it wasn’t necessary to have freon to diagnose an a/​c unit. Then I went to my actual mechanic, once I figured out what the problem was. He said my freon was fully charged and whoever told me it wasn’t was probably just trying to make some money off of me.
Long story short: this business is probably ripping a lot of people off by saying they need a recharge when, in fact, they don’t. And at $ 130, you can recharge it for ¹⁄₃ of that by yourself or half at other reputable businesses.

Horrible experience here. I waited an hour and half before asking if they had an estimate on when they might get my car looked at. The front desk lady was so annoyed by my question. She goes out to ask and comes back telling me they’ll get to it when they get to it, there are cars in front of me.
I explained that I understand that and that’s fine but I’ve been there an hour and a half and just need to know if we’re talking about 2 hours, 4 hours. She then just stopped talking to me. The conversation was just over. So I asked for my keys back and left without anyone even trying to acknowledge or apologize.
I was blown away by what happened and how rude the lady was. No clue how somewhere like this could function as a legitimate business. It was just so weird. On top of that it was just for an ac diagnosis.

I went to this place a couple weeks ago to get an oil change. it was relatively inexpensive and the staff members were extremely friendly. My only complaint would be that it is a pretty small shop so you may have to wait a little while to get service. Other than that, I would say I had a pretty good experience and will be returning in the future.

I seriously cannot say much since I did not pay for any services here, but that alone speaks volumes.
The owner answered the phone 8am on a weekday and told me to bring my car right in. I arrive at 9am with a question mark over my head. My car refused to start the day before and after changing the week old battery, no one knew what the problem was. He opened the hood and ran the car for a while while doing other things in the garage. You can watch the parking lot on a monitor in the waiting room, so I could clearly see he kept checking my car.
Less than an hour after I pulled into the parking lot, he comes in and tells me he honestly cannot find anything wrong with my car and therefore couldn’t suggest replacing anything. He didn’t charge me a cent.
He could have easily made something up and charged me parts and labor, instead he was very honest.
The evangelical Christian bothering me in the waiting room was not his fault at all. I would just advise you guys to have an escape route just in case some annoying person sits next to you with a bible.

Ice Cold Auto Air is home of the iconic speedometer sign at East Colonial and Ferncreek. I remember when the speedometer moved back and forth, until the city of Orlando made them stop because it was a «distraction.»

My little vehicle’s air conditioning system had been experiencing an odd condition which had become steadily worse, even thought the cooling output had never failed me. Each time I turned the steering wheel to the left, I’d hear a sloshing sound of water. As the condition worsened, I had to do something about it, so I went to Ice Cold.
They diagnosed and repaired the problem (leaves and debris) quickly. I was in and out before I could begin reading Orlando Magazine, and the charge was shockingly low.
I had another a/​c problem at their late Winter Park location some years back, and I remember having a similarly good impression.

I only go here to get my car speedometer calibrated and certified. Mike is awesome and works fast.

One of Central Florida’s landmarks… this business operates a good service for a fair price.
It’s a no frills place to have just about anything and everything fixed on your car.
I use them for all my auto needs. In fact this is the first place I call whenever I have ANY auto issue.
The have serviced many of my vehicles over the years… and some at my work too!
More than just AC repairs… this is a great place to go for good work at a fair price.

You know, I didn’t even get a repair from this place. I had called in asking about the A/​C in my truck, and the technician said if I bring it in they can diagnose the problem and go from there.
So I bring the truck in, and we get instant welcome from one of the technicians that looked like he was just standing around in the parking lot. He told us to park the truck in a bay, go in the office and sign in and they’ll help us out.
We do just that and wait for an hour and we still didn’t get serviced. No one came in to see us or ask for a key. An hour just to get diagnosed… So we walked outside to see what was going on and I kid you not, there were NO cars being worked on. All the bays were empty. It was still a full hour before closing time. No idea where their guys went.
Needless to say, we packed things up and left that place. If they can’t offer quality service just for a diagnostic, what makes me think I can trust them to be honest with their work.
