This place is now renamed«Great Value Suites». They say it’s under new management and they have renovated it. This is my first time here and my last. I cannot believe how disgusting they keep it here. I have heard really bad horror stories about this hotel but it is still bad. I heard there used to be a swimming pool some years ago but this hotel no longer has one. PROS: They have a big refrigerator. My AC unit works well and cold. Prices are reasonable. Maid service is once a week. The good part about the maid service so far I like is that I don’t need to leave my room when they come to clean which is good cause I heard the maids tends to be thieves here. Maintenance had been good at fixing problems with the TV but the stove never worked properly which led me to have to either out or use other methods for cooking my meals. The laundry room so far washes and dries pretty good. They do close around 9 pm. You can’t leave your clothes unattended though cause they will get stolen. CONS: They have security here yes, but they run it more like if they were playing cops and robbers like kids. There are video cameras in every corner watching everyone, literally. Just because there might security in a place, it doesn’t mean it is safe. There are cops, ambulances and the fire department coming here almost on a daily basis, mostly because the security here mingles way too much with the clients and like I said, they tend to act more like cops and correctional officers instead of doing there job solely as security at a hotel. There is no smoking inside anywhere or in the rooms. Even outside you cannot in the hall area. The reason is they want to make sure they watch you smoking on the security cameras. Makes no sense to me. I have seen them playing with the children right in the hallways in the hotels making all kinds of noise. Most of the residents who live are Spanish. There is Wi-Fi but the connections are way too slow. Most of the time I couldn’t even get to the internet cause it takes forever to bring any page up. The infestation of roaches that run amuck here gives me the creeps on how unsanitary a hotel can be. I spend more time just trying to kill these cockroaches which come in all sizes and they just keep coming. In general, they have a no pet policy, and rent is only paid weekly which requires a $ 50 deposit plus the weeks rent. Many of the workers here are Spanish so they tend to gossip behind your back when they think you don’t understand. Mainly the maids and security people whom are very nosy.
