Needless to say, what an amazing group of people. The one thing that matters to me is how much someone cares for their clients and people. We weren’t even customers yet and when my wife lost her glasses, we ordered new ones online right away but it would be two weeks before the new ones arrived and she desperately needed them for work.
I stopped in to see them on a HOPE, told them my situation and they hooked us up with a pair of prescription contacts to hold her over. No cost, no obligation. They went out of their way to help someone in need and if that’s how they treat people, I can only imagine how they treat their customers.

I enjoyed my experience with Dr. Nowell very much. His assistant was very tentative and honest. As a new patient, they made me feel welcome and cared for, and answered any questions I had. They had a wide selection of frames, some very pricey, so I have four stars for price.
The office itself was very nice. It felt very clean and up to date. I would highly recommend this eye doctor.

Dr. Lowell is great and very nice. There are plenty of displays of frames and sun glasses. I have not had such a good eye doctor in my recent times.

It’s in a very nice location but if you are getting off the highway at Sand Lake, allow plenty of travel time! Doctor and his assistants were top-​notch! Very thorough in their examination and the wait time was minimal. I think I found my new eye doctor in the Orlando area!

I am very disappointed with the service of this office.
In my first visit the Dr was very nice a cordial, we did the eye exam with no problems. I chose a very expensive frame and high end lenses. There was a 10 day wait for my glasses, but at the end of those 10 days they called me to say that the prescription did not meet the specifications so there was another week wait.
When I finally got my glasses, oh surprise, THE PRESCRIPTION WAS SO BAD that I got dizzy any time I wore the glasses, they told me that it is normal that I will eventually get used to it and ask me to try it for 1 week.
After 1 week, I came back to tell them that I never got used to it, and that I was always getting dizzy and my eyes took a long time to focus when I was looking at the computer. Then they gave me an appointment to do another eye exam. the Dr this time was not nice, he seems to be upset at the situation.
After the 2^nd exam there was another 10 day wait for the glasses. They never call me to tell me that the glasses arrived. When I finally picked up the glasses I realized that the PRESCRIPTION WAS BAD AGAIN, not as bad as before but I still get a little dizzy and my eyes take sometime to focus on the computer.
I have not had time to go back again to complain about it. One thing I am sure is that I am not going back to this optometrist.

Dr. John Nowell is excellent! He explained every step of the way during the exam and was very thorough. The office staff were friendly, outgoing and very helpful. They were very patient when it came to the choice of frames and lenses. The selection of frames was huge and the quality of glasses is outstanding. Overall, I highly recommend Southwest Orlando Eye Care.

This place is amazing. The staff is friendly and the set up of the office is gorgeous. The Dr. was very knowledgable and explained everything. The frame selection was gorgeous and they take a lot of insurance so that was easy! I can’t wait to see them in a year!

Dr. Nowell gave me the best eye exam I have ever had, he explained everything in a way that made me understand my eyes a little more. Also, I love the selection of glasses this office has to offer! I was able to find matching Michael kors glasses and sunglasses with my prescription. I even got 50% off my 2^nd pair (the sunglasses) when I picked up my first pair. I highly recommend checking it out.

Dr. Nowell was excellent and the staff as well. I was looking for a specific pair of Gucci glasses and they were able to have them overnighted. Excellent customer service.

Can’t stress how much I liked Dr. Nowell! He was so thorough and he made me feel like he cared about me. Also, I like the staff. They understood I had a budget. I could tell there were some up selling techniques used, by showing me the Tom Fords after I said I was trying to look in the low cost range. But after I really stressed I was a student with a budget, she accommodated my needs. In total everything came to $ 309, including my exam which took about an hour. I will return, and the glasses take about ten days which means you definitely receive good quality.
Oh I recommend having someone drive you there if you are getting an eye exam. I drove while my eyes were dilated and boy that was scary.

I finally found a great eye doctor! I have seen several eye doctors and could not find a good one who actually cared about his patients until now. Dr. Nowell is a wonderful doctor and, they are really hard to come by these days. He is thorough, honest, and caring. He even stays open late some days to accommodate patients who need to come in after work. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an eye doctor.

I was in Orlando for a conference when I needed to see an optometrist for an emergency appointment. Dr. Nowell’s team was able to squeeze me that same day, given the urgency of my situation. The staff at the office were also incredibly kind and I knew was in good hands the moment I walked in the door. The office was really neat and up to date and it looked like they had a big variety of frames to choose from.
On to the actual appointment: Dr. Nowell was very professional and explained what he was doing each step of the appointment. He used a fancy machine to take a picture of my eyes and pulled it up on his screen to walk me through the exam. Everything turned out fine and he gave even gave me advice on future eye care and things to look out for. I highly recommend Dr. Nowell and his office. If it weren’t for the fact that I live across the country, I would make this my eye care office. He’s thorough and up-​to-​date — what I look for in an eye doc.

Since I was out of town, I had to take a cab back to my hotel. The cab company took forever and a day, so Dr. Nowell let me read magazines in his waiting room for an hour after they were closed just so I wouldn’t have to wait outside by myself. How’s that for complete patient care?!
