Functional but not great, might have been a little early for the cook… I love to support small restaurants, but this place needs to review its menu.

Good prices, food is great, I wish there was a bit more variety in the menu but overall it’s a great place.

Food is delicious I am Colombian do I love the food! Service was horrible. When I «checked in» here in Unilocal I expressed my frustrations. Paola and this other girl not good waitress at all. I work in costumer service and they were the complete opposite of it.

I can’t think of a bad thing to say about this place. The food was delicious, the staff were very friendly, and the environment was clean and comfortable. I sat at the bar and was served with smiles. Better to know Spanish but you will be fine with only English. I was recommended the lunch special for $ 7.95 and it was delicious! It changes every day, so I will definitely be going back, but I can highly recommend the Tuesday special which is tender chicken, a mixed vegetable and meat soup, salad, plantains, and perfectly cooked rice. Excellent!

Not impressed. The food was tasty, however the service was terrible. We were greeted at the door by a waitress and given menus. About 8 minutes passed before they realized we had not been visited. Drinks and order were placed together. We ordered two waters, a beer, a juice an appetizer and two meals. Only one water was brought to the table. Appetizer was not brought complete bc the server thought it was too much food for two people. Utensils and plates needed to be asked for. Meals came 3 minutes after appetizers giving us no time to finish one and move to the other. The meals were brought incomplete missing the rice and beans. Juice was brought after the meals. I honestly think it might be poor management. Tables should be assigned to servers and they should have their tasks to complete at each table. For was good, but as I said, not impressed with service.

I am disgusted with the service we received at this restaurant. The waiter was incredibly rude and needs to learn how to speak to people. We asked the waiter for the price of the Snapper platter and he pointed to the $ 17.00 price. When our check came out they charged each dish at $ 26.00. They stated that when the fish is bigger they charge more. They never indicated this to us at all when ordering and they do not have this written on the menu. The supervisor and the owner came out and disputed with us as well. I could not believe they continued to state they can just charge us without letting us know and not have anything written on the menu stating this charge. I will not be coming back. Unprofessional!

On vacation with the family from Houston. There are many Colombian food restaurants in the Houston area so my expectations were high. Las Palmas was very very good, on par or even better that what Houston has to offer. I has the bandeja paisa, which, is more that one person can eat.(The big portion). The fried bananas(plaintains) are wonderful and add that very tasty sweet final zing to a great meal. Will definitely visit again when in Orlando.

The Entraña is fantastic but the service is terrible. They do not come very often to the table, and when we paid, they lost our friend’s cars and tried to give him the receipt like if nothing was happening. Took them 20 minutes to find the card they lost.

We were super excited to try this Colombian restaurant based in the reviews and location. The inside is renovated nicely and clean. Unfortunately the food was mediocre compared to the other Colombian restaurants in Orlando. The beef empanada was good but the calentado con pericos was not our favorite. The rice was really overcooked and lacked flavor. My boyfriend’s dish was the also a disappointment he ended up leaving over half of it behind. We also wanted to try the papa rellena and milo dessert but they were out of both things… we won’t be returning here.

Great Colombian food! We come here for the bandeja paisa which can be shared along with all their other dishes. Another favorite is the bean casserole. It comes complete with ground meat and rice. Only items missing are fried egg and plantains which I’m sure can be ordered in addition. Love coming here for authentic Colombian fare. It can get a little loud specially when there are soccer games as the Colombians know how to party but nothing short of fun. Will keep coming back here for their comfort food.

I love this place. The food is really good and I think they have the best«pargo frito»(fried red snapper) in town. The waitresses are nice and helpful, the food is fresh and comes to the table in a reasonable time.

The new renovations have done them well. With a more modern décor and outdoor patio/bar area, this place is busier than ever before. One thing for sure is that you will never leave Las Palmas hungry. The portions are very generous with most entrees coming with rice, salad, beans, and/or your choice of sweet plantains or tostones. The chicken empanadas are surprisingly deliciously that I order them every time I dine here. Other dishes I would recommend are the skirt steaks, seafood casserole, and filet tilapia with shrimp. The service was pretty sloppy today with missing entrees and sides. I will give them a pass because the service in the past was satisfactory.

The food here is absolutely delicious! I must say, having some good Colombian food in the middle of Orlando was heart warming for me! A friend recommended this place and he was spot on. The service was incredible, the staff was filled with beautiful Colombian women, the food was delicious beginning to end. From the empanadas to the carne asada, to the chicharon, to the arepa con queso. You name it, it was delicious! They also offered a half bandeja paisa which was a great idea for those in the mood for the dish but not ready for the whole thing. On the weekends, be sure to ask for the breakfast calentado special. It’s not on the menu but it’s absolutely delicious! They had a lady tying balloons for kids while we were there… only prolem was there were no kids there and the sound of balloons squeeking as she twisted and tied is not appealing, lol.

This place is awesome! Came on a Sunday around 2 and the place was packed! Server barely spoke English but recommended the number 9. It came with fried pork belly, skirt steak, chorizo, beans, rice, corn cake, sweet plantains and a semi soft egg. I fell in love immediately. The house salsa was also delicious. Service was ok at best but the food will have me coming back for more.

A good friend recommended this place for dinner. On a Sunday night we waited for about 15 to 20 minutes for a table of 6. The restaurant itself can get really loud since they have a sports type bar adjacent to the restaurant so you may have to speak up. Our waitress was a hoot and overall very funny and helpful. She also photo bombed our picture hahaha. This restaurant specializes in Colombian cuisine. I am surely glad that my husband and I shared the churrasco. That plate was not only delicious but a perfect portion for two. The churrasco was nice and tender and juicy. Although I missed a sauce like chimichurri perhaps. Regardless this was fantastic. Their frijoles were also very tasty. Since we shared the churrasco we decided to get an order of papa rellena(stuffed potato) and their empanadas. I found that the empanadas were nice and crunchy on the outside. Overall a good time was had. This is also a great place for drinks. I enjoyed one of the their refreshing sangria. The prices are very reasonable and portions are generous as well. Enjoy!

I was referred to this place by my brother as although the food was good, it wasn’t as good as other smaller Colombian places in the area. The place looks good and service was great but food wise they don’t rank up there with Sebastian’s and others.

I came here after I saw Colombia beat Greece in the 2014 World Cup Tournament. I felt I had to celebrate by having one of Colombia’s famous dishes. I heard this restaurant just across the street from Gatorland was pretty good. The atmosphere was still electric with the win. This is a great Colombian restaurant. I ordered empanadas as en appetizer. The empanadas were hot, fat, filled with a delicious mix of rice, meat, and spices. One of the better empanadas I’ve ever had. After that came the dish… A Bandeja Paisa, a delicious mix of beans, steak, a fried egg over rice, chorizo, chicharron, corn cake, plantains, and a tomato. An amazing plate. You must try it if you never have. The service here was exceptional. If you happen to be around this area and want to stay away from your usual franchise restaurants go here for some real home cooking.

I have to admit I’m probably not the best judge of Latin American cuisine but I was at Gatorland all morning and needed to find a quick yet quality meal. I checked Unilocal which led me to Las Palmas. They are currently doing construction around the façade of the restaurant so one may presume they are closed but they are open for business! We ordered two entrees: strip steak served with a cheese enchilada, pico de gallo, safron rice & refried black beans and grilled chicken with sauteed onions and peppers. Both were delicious and the portions are generous but the star was the chicken dish. Per the recommendation of many other Unilocal members, they said get the guacamole to eat with each bite of chicken and they were SOOORIGHT. It changes the dish and adds another dimension to the flavors. The average cost per entrée is around $ 15 but the portion size per dish served two girls or 1 guy. Not much to comment on décor but on the day we went there was a huge group of 20 guests that sat at one long table so at least you know they can accommodate large groups!
