I discovered this charm on a whim and couldn’t have been more grateful for it! It is a rarity these days to find restaurants that have the«homemade» taste as well as genuine customer service. I highly recommend the gyro, rice, and baklava.

Family friendly service. The owner was the first to open and position my containers so I could take a picture for Unilocal. He knows what’s up LOL. But once I got home with it I was disappointed. The sandwich was missing onions, more lettuce than needed and less meat then it shoilda been. I like supporting small business but next time when I have a craving for a gyro Imma go back to my spot on Fairbanks.

Gyro, salad, and drink for only $ 8.50. Gyro is very filling. Has lots of meats. Great customer service. Owner is very friendly.

6 months pregnant and craving something sweet, ran across this place on Unilocal and decided to give their sweet dessert a bite and now I go almost every week for it. Awesome!

Food was good, service was good, and prices were competitive to other restaurants in the area. The dining area could use a little TLC, but don’t let that stop you from the trying their outstanding baklava. In and of itself worth the trip. It was that good.

Went here for lunch today after reading the positive reviews. I got the gyro sandwich and it was great. Huge sandwich for around $ 6. The owner was very nice. I will definitely be back.

This is my favourite middle eastern restaurant. I usually get the chicken or lamb, rice and salad. It is really delicious. Not only is the food great but the owner is so nice and friendly. He even makes the effort to remember you and even your order down to the small details that you like in it. To me this means a lot. We used to go to another middle eastern place up on university near the wingzone but the owner there was always really cranky and stingy about really small things so we switched and are very happy with the new place. I would recommend anyone to go there.

I took my girlfriend here and we both enjoyed the Gyros with pasta salad. I also had the grape leaves. Everything was delicious! I would definitely recommend this place. The owner was very friendly and kind. I love Greek food and eat gyros all this time, but this was hands down the best gyro I’ve ever had!

Really good food and the guy running the place is super nice. Very simple interior, but it was fine. :)

This is my favorite place to get mouth watering gyros! Their lamb is so tender and tasty. I come here at least once every few weeks. Their baklava is to die for! Wife makes it at home. So happy to have found this place!

This guy is as authentic as it gets. Might be a hole in the wall but the food is fresh and delicious. I love gyros when its done right and this place has is 100% right!

Was craving Mediterranean food and Unilocal’d this place. It looks a bit inauspicious at first but don’t let that turn you away. The food is good and the owner is super nice, he even came out from the back to say goodbye to us when we left. I got the lunch special where you get a gyro, chose fries with a seasoning blend, and a drink. The total after taxes was $ 9.07 which I think is reasonable for the huge portions they give you. They even have Sriracha which was surprising to me. I’ll definitely be back to try their falafels and baklavas.

I don’t know who is reviewing this restaurant, it must be people related to the owner, but obviously they don’t have any taste buds. This place is really bad. The chicken gyro was bad. The chicken pieces was full of fat and grizzle. The falafel were soft, mushy, bland and not crispy. And the hummus was just bland. I don’t recommend this place at all. There are way better places to go to.

Today I was in the mood for some seafood for lunch but it appears the place I have been dying to try opens at 3pm during the week. Well their loss was MY gain if appears… I quickly got on Unilocal and looked up some places I have not been to and Mediterranean Deli was on the list. They had some great reviews so I plugged their address in the navigator and off I went. From the outside they are very plain looking and when you walk in, the place is very plain and not flashy at all. I was greeted and took a look at the various menu offerings and everything was FRESHMADE. The Tabbouleh looked incredible and I am a sucker for Dolmas. I opted for the Gyro with Salad and drink with a side of Dolmas. I was informed that I could go have a seat and my food would be brought to me. I got a bottle of water and soon after that my food was brought to me. The Tabbouleh was fantastic. It was chopped well and the mint was a nice touch. The Dolmas were bite size but at 3 for $ 2 they are sized just right. The flavor is what counts and these bite size morsels were delicious. Last up was the Gyro and there was a generous portion of meat. The lettuce was finely shredded and the tomato and onion were just right. What stood out was the Tzatziki. I could taste the sour cream but it had the tang like it was yogurt based. It was very nice and after eating, the owner informed me it was a mix of the two. I have to say it was very nice. I decided to try the Baklava and I am so glad I did. That first bite said HOMEMADEWITHLOVE. The texture of the individual layers of pastry stood out and was a joy to eat. Best of all was that it was not sickening sweet. I fought the urge to get some to go but I am already too fat as it is… lol If you are looking for a fancy place to eat… MOVEON! If you want INCREDIBLE food at a great price that takes your breath away… LOOKNOFURTHER… I WILLDEFINITELYBEBACKANDALREADYHAVEMYEYESONTHEFALAFELANDSPINACHPIE!!!

This place is amazing. It truly is great. Everything there is made fresh and by hand. The prices are decent, the quality is great, and the service is outstanding. There is some good food here from falafel, to salads and gyros. And Hazem(the owner), doesn’t mess around. My gyro was packed with good meat. I don’t usually like salad, but this place is an exception. It’s worth coming here. Check it out

Important(if you don’t want to read the review): Use sriracha on that gyro! You’re welcome. back to the review. This is a legit hole in the wall restaurant as it is located in a not so busy plaza with a not so pretty appearance. Guess it comes to show that you shouldn’t judge a book by its cover! When you enter, there are only three tables or so and sparse decorations on the greenish-yellow colored wall. That might scare people away as it does not look like a normal restaurant setup, but stay since the food here is super good! Not only is the food good, the owner treats you as if you are his guest at his house! Very nice and welcoming. The menu is quite simple as it ranges from kabobs, salads, falafels, gyros, and homemade desserts. Everything is homemade. I always plan to try something different other than the gyro here, but that always fails. The gyros here are addicting. Plus the gyro is in an awesome lunch deal deal as it includes a gyro, salad(or fries), and a drink all for ~$ 9. Quite filling too as the portions are HUGE. What’s awesome about this place is that you actually see him shave lamb meat off the meat spit(he gives you a heaping amount of it!). From what I saw, only lamb meat is offered for the gyro. All of the salads are in clear view of you behind glass. He has many salads, but I normally get the mediterranean salad since I love banana peppers! Nothing bad to say here! Other than I know I will come back to try the other stuff!

So three years later; I had forgotten that I had previously dined here and I really enjoyed my lunch. It was flavorful, fresh, and plentiful. I had ordered and open faced gyro with side salad(free drink) and enjoyed it tremendously, and it had only set me back about $ 8. I went back and read my previous review and realized that I had obviously gone in on an off day. I plan on returning in the future for more of the delicious food I was able to enjoy on my last visit.

Going to school nearby, I decided to look for the hidden eating gems around the area. When it comes to Mediterranean food, I am particular picky with the whole«package.»(Quality, price and presentation) This place is not built on looks, which is totally okay. People want to eat good food for a good price! I could only imagine the worst if it got super crowded because there is only 6 tables with majority of each table having 3 chairs but it doesn’t seem like that is a problem since most customers are your hard working, sweaty guys who need a good sized portion of protein. I got the gyro combo special. Total came out to be $ 8.00. Got a free drink and the owner dished out a sample of the pasta salad. Haha, on him, I suppose. Quality of the food for this picky little eater is just one star short for EXCELLENT but that’s only because salads for me are super difficult to be impressed with.(I got the Greek salad). The pasta salad was tastier(the little sample he gave me) but I mind my carbs. ;) The gyro though, very good. The portion is enough and it’s not rubbery. You can see it being carved out in front of you and he gives it an extra grill to make sure it’s nice and hot. Add some Siracha on that sucker and it will sing in your mouth. Laaaaaa! I got me some grape leaves. I like grape leaves so I don’t believe these tasty treat are difficult to make so go ahead and try them! Overall, it’s a great place to sate your appetite when you’re feeling especially hungry and you’re on a budget.

When I heard that the best gyro place is not too far from where I live, I knew I had to check this place out. I’ve always taken Mediterranean food to be a bit healthy because of the ingredients they use in their salads and side dishes. Gyros might not be the healthiest but they are certainly better choice than a burrito at your closest chipotle. Different category I know, but just makiing a pointless point. ONWARD! I walked into this place and the first thing I noticed were Sriracha bottles on the table. I should probably give it five stars just for that but I wasn’t sure what they were there for(or if I had even walked into the wrong place). I met the owner, forgot his name, but he was real friendly and for $ 8 the special was my choice. Being the foodie that I am, I want to try everything so I wasn’t sure which side I wanted but he was nice enough to let me try two different sides with my gyro. Once I sat down I took a bite into the huge gyro and was very pleased. And then… .I added the sriracha. You’ve got to be kidding me. Where has this been all my life? I will never eat another gyro without sriracha ever again. Aside from that, the place doesn’t look the greatest but it’s a nice, inexpensive spot to get some quality Mediterranean food. I sort of excuse the independent ethnic spots for appearance when the food is great. The owner is also friendly and I left happy. Definitely try it out if you are looking to try something different.
