I was in the area for business and remembered going to one in Atlanta, so we stopped in for dinner. We ordered jerk wings and two gluten free pizza(mighty meat and veg out) because they wouldn’t split a gluten free. The wings came out ice cold one of them was actually frozen. We told the our server she said she’ll take care of it, took them back to the kitchen. When the wings came out the second time some were warm a few was still cold. My partners pizza did not have the sausage that he requested, so he was disappointed. My pizza was okay. Service was poor. It took the server four stops to our table, before she finally picked up a pile of used napkins that was set at the tip of the table. Lacked attention to detail. We were disappointed with the experience and with the food.

It was our first time here as we just moved into the area. Everything from the service to the food was excellent. We are looking forward to coming back soon!

Good pie, on par with what you’d expect from this chain. Good selection of brews too, but I just think this place is too expensive. It IS pizza after all, and $ 28 for a large meat lovers isn’t worth it IMO.

One word would be «terrible»… Wings were cooked by U.S. Foods prior to delivery and warmed up in house. Yes, this is what was explained to me. They were«rubbery», skin wasn’t cooked and cold. They were replaced with warm, «rubbery» and what tasted like old, cooked twice+ food. Just unacceptable. Pizza would have been good but was soggy(bottom crust) with what looked like mayo on top. The server was excellent though! She was apologetic and efficient but couldn’t do the cooking as well. This is not how eating out is suppose to be. The prices were way too high for what was offered. I don’t think I’ll ever get over eating wings that were cooked twice with one of those times being before they were put on a truck.

I always have an awesome experience when I come here! I really want to thank everyone who works at this location for their amazing lost and found. It was awhile back. I left my ray ban sunglasses at the table. I called when I got home and they said the found them and wrote a note on them that they were mine. I kept forgetting to come in a pick them up ! They kept them for a week and a half ! But I finally came in and they had them ready for me ! Amazing !!

Visited here while in town seeing family. Mr G. and I shared the Spinach entrée salad and small Maui Wowi pizza. Salad was fantastic, great balsamic vinaigrette as well which came on the side. But the pizza was the best part. While my only wish would have been for more chicken, the rest of the dish was fantastic. That crust was phenomenal though! On top of a great tasting meal, it was quick and the service was really great as well. All in all, I’m glad I finally tried one of these out and will gladly seek them out in Dallas as well.

Whoever came up with potatoes and bacon on a pizza is a genius. I had the Red Skin Potato Pie and it was just absolutely delicious. It was cheesy and the bacon was crisp. Despite there being chunks of onions as some points, it was just amazing. I also tried their Wild Mellow Balls which are pretty much garlic bread bites. It was pretty tasty but it kind of tasted like Pizza Hut breadsticks but with more Parmesan cheese on top. The service was fast and the waitress was really nice who was very helpful in recommending pizzas to try. Although a bit pricy, I would definitely go back again to try their other pizzas and menu items.

Another good meal from the Mellow folks. We eat here regularly and good service is typical. They have a decent selection of hipster beer and it’s delicious. They have plenty of regular beers and we’ve tried almost everything on the food menu. Try the Mellow balls. They are addictive.

House special pizza was awesome. Double cut into 16 pieces. Soda served to our guest was defective, the dispenser only put a few drops of Cola flavor. Mostly seltzer water and ice. Complaint was never remedied and we were charged for the drink anyway. That was too bad as we like coming here every year for valentine’s day. Waitress had to be reminded several times to bring lemon slices for water. Loud group of college student age sat near us. They had long finished their meals but yelled and shouted for an hour making it impossible for everyone around them to converse. Hey. Someone had a good time. We are looking for new fun places for our double dates.

This was not a good experience. The food was not hot they were out of many of the beers. Service was slow. Just a frustrating night. They actually served our pizza and we had to ask for plates to eat from. We will not be going back!!!

Everything was great. Pizza was perfect. Our server, Kat was on top of things. She was doing double duty as a bartender. She was spot on with a beer recommendation. We’ll be back. Thanks.

The vegan options are incredible — ask the server about the Vegan menu! Being a vegetarian/vegan– I haven’t had a meatless pizza I didn’t like. The service is young and fun– quite knowledgable. Salads, pizzas, GLUTENFREE breads, and more! Mellow Mushroom has it all. Highly recommended and affordable. Bring the family and friends.

Mellow Mushroom is one of those safe places where I know I’ll always have a good experience. Their craft beer list is great — and happy hour at 9pm on a Friday night? Perfection! My friend and I split a thai pizza we were both intrigued by — and it was wonderful. The curry chicken was so full of flavor and the diced cucumbers and sweet thai sauce completed it. To top it off — Mellow Mushroom was nice enough to mail coupons out so we saved $ 10 on $ 25! A great, affordable meal of delicious pizza and an IPA!

Had heard great things about this small pizza franchise, so finally decided to try it. Waiter recommended the Mellow Bites(basically bite-size buttery bread bites covered in Parmesan and garlic). They were served with marinara sauce and were terrific. Crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Flavoring was amazing. I ate so many of those, I could barely eat a single slice of the Mighty Meaty pizza we ordered. Pizza was excellent, crust was crunchy but not too thick, toppings were very fresh. It’s not super-cheap as far as pizza goes, but it was worth it.

Pizza here was always some of my favorite in Orlando. Pair that with their great beer list and their sort chill staff and you’ve got this awesome joint.

Mellow Mushroom… Where to begin? The pizza here is FANTASTIC. Fresh ingredients and a competent kitchen staff makes for one helluva pizza. The decorations on the walls provide an excellent sense of atmosphere which is always important when dining on a slice of pepperoni. Things like trivia nights and loyalty points always excite me when trying out a new restaurant. Unfortunately, the live music was a little weak, but that’s to be expected every once in a while. The pizza is incredibly cheap when bought with one of the numerous discounts Mellow Mushroom offers, which was a huge plus for me. The wait staff was also very friendly and on top of our refills here at the UCF location.

Mellow Mushroom is easily my favorite pizza place. For starters, it’s just cool. They have a hippie-ish vibe that I adore. Lots of cool quotes and whimsical murals. Then there’s the pizza. The crust is something special, it’s softer than most places… I love it, but I can see that it’s different and not for everyone. You can build your own pizza or pick from specialties on the menu. The hummus appetizer is really good as well. And there’s beer! Lots of good craft beers, plus drink specials(my last visit was on a wine special night, so I deviated from my usual and decided to be fancy with wine and pizza). This is a good place for groups and the atmosphere is family friendly. The outside patio is nice enough you don’t even realize you’re next to Colonial Drive. I love it!

Many pizza cravings have been satisfied over the last two years at this Mellow Mushroom location near UCF and it always produces a good experience. We always sit at one of the high top tables near the bar and get excellent service every time. On this most recent visit, Ty gave us just the right amount of attention and it was a pleasure to have him waiting on us. After a very modest wait, our custom pizza came out hot and delicious while we enjoyed a choice of $ 2.99 draft beer specials to wash it down. I really like Mellow Mushroom pizza because the crust is not thick, but not so thin where it is crispy or tastes like a flatbread, and since I always can both see and taste the toppings that I ordered. The three large TV’s in the bar area all featured different NFL games on this late afternoon visit, which shows they have the Sunday Ticket and actively put it to good use. Honestly, the only reason that I don’t go five stars is because the pizza does run on the higher side when it comes to price. I’ve already stressed that the taste works for me, but if the value was better I would come here about twice as often as I already do.

My first experience at a «Mellow Mushroom» I think my expectations were set a little to high after reading the reviews on this location and others. Although they do have some unique offerings nothing was outstanding and nothing was bad just a middle of the road experience for me. Like most people I’ve eaten my share of pizza this pizza was okay and would rank pretty high when compared to most of the chains we all know. It definitely has it’s own version of a thin crust with a thick outer ring but I found some parts to be a little doughy so if you like it crispy you may want to request it that way. The toppings were okay a little light on the toppings I thought for the price. The pretzels on the other hand were excellent hot fresh and soaked in Garlic and Parmesan Cheese served with a side of Pizza Sauce(ours was served cold I don’t know if this was on purpose or just out of the refrigerator) the winning dip was the Abita Beer Cheese Dip it was over the top out of sight definitely a winning combination. The restaurant was clean and the décor was kinda cool. The staff seemed really young but very attentive. I would of liked to have seen a manager onsite which I didn’t ever see during the entire visit. I was a little disappointed in the beer not the selection so much because it’s vast but the glasses were not frozen and the beer wasn’t cold I was happy to see the Louisiana beers the purple haze and the turbo dog both out of the Abita Brewery. Ice Cold Beer makes good pizza great hence the three stars.

In most towns in the United States, there is a pizza shop on every corner and everyone has their favorite spot for the perfect pie. Most chains are mass produced with the same product with pretty standard toppings– your cheese, pepperoni or onions variety. However, we have found a place that makes a great pizza and caters to individuals as opposed to the mass population. Gluten-free? No problem. Vegetarian? No problem. Vegan? No problem. Mellow Mushroom We begin every visit to Mellow Mushroom with the greatest little rounds of bread I have ever tasted– the Garlic Balls. They are crunchy on the outside, soft in the middle, baked with butter and sprinkled with cheese. They literally melt in your mouth. And I mean literally. Chad and I fight over them. We have to remember to always order our own plate of them. We just can’t play nice and share when it comes to these. Though we have had their pizza on numerous occasion we both decided on hoagies this visit. Chad went for the Avocado Hoagie– a toasted roll filled with seasoned avocado slices, lettuce, tomatoes, onions, provolone and a very light layer of mayonnaise. It is then topped with alfalfa sprouts for an extra veggie kick. He really loved it. So light and healthy but hearty and filling. I went for the Righteous Portobello Rueben. A sandwich with grilled portobello mushrooms, Swiss cheese, sauerkraut and Thousand Island dressing on a toasted rye hoagie roll. The bread really made this one– I didn’t even know rye hoagie rolls even existed(I haven’t found one in a store yet.) I am a big fan of a good Rueben sandwich and I am so happy Mellow Mushrooom makes a version for the Vegetarians of the world. Mellow Mushroom gets huge bonus points for us. They do not leave out Vegetarians or Vegans. We don’t get just cheese and veggies to choose from here. If you are Vegan they offer Diaya cheese. There are proteins like seasoned tempeh and tofu. Chad and I each ordered a slice of pizza(offered during lunch hours) and I added broccoli and tempeh to mine. The tempeh was seasoned up like sausage and was a most excellent addition to my slice. It was unbelievably delicious. Chad didn’t fare so well with his slice. His request was simple, just cheese with green peppers and onions. While we understand they most likely have a plain cheese pizza they serve individual slices from, it seems like his cheese pizza was heated up and the veggies were added as an afterthought. The veggies were definitely not warmed up with the pizza slice and were thrown on before it left the kitchen. However, Chad’s slice excluded, Mellow Mushroom is one of our favorite pizza destinations both here in Orlando and when we travel. There is one location each in the states of Utah, Arizona, Colorado and Nebraska and the majority of the other restaurants are found in the Southeastern United States, including three here in the Orlando metro. Whatever you do, DONOT pass up the garlic balls.
