Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour

I was highly skeptical when Amy asked me to take her to the Miley Cyrus concert… I’ve never really been a big fan of her music, but I have to admit I was impressed with the show!!! She definitely knows how to put on a show!!!
You could feel the anticipation for Miley to come onto the stage! I was pretty impressed with Icona Pop, which was the opening act… The arena was not entirely full when Icona Pop came on stage promtly at 7p.m. but they still managed to get the building rocking!!!
When Miley came onto the stage, the arena was packed; I don’t think I saw an empty seat anywhere!!! The building was rocking from start to finish and I have to say I would definitely go to another Miley Cyrus concert in the future!!!

I Heart Miley! #Banzers I like make my «milestone» reviews something important to me, and I can’t think of anything better to write about for my 700^th review.
We arrived at the arena about 2 ½ hrs before concert time and I’m glad we did because 107.7 FM had a booth set up outside with thousands of beads and we were able to make out own bracelets. I made a really cool one with the word «BANGERZ!»
At 6pm, we were allowed to enter the arena! Yay! First time hubby and I have been in the new Amway Arena and it is amazing, but that is for another review. We quickly made our way to our level and one of the merchandise stands. I was dying to get my hands on something from the tour. I got a really cool black Bangerz t-​shirt with all the tour cities listed on the back for $ 45 and I got one of MIley’s tour books (the explicit version) for $ 20. They had a «tame» version of the tour book for the same price, but it wasn’t all that tame if you ask me. Although, in the explicit version, she is practically naked in at least half of the photos. LOL I would have loved to have also gotten one of her bags ($ 30), a keychain shaped like her infamous foam finger ($ 15), an awesome poster of her ($ 10), and one of her cool stickers ($ 5), but alas, I ran out of money. She was even selling tights with her face all over them for a whopping $ 50!
We had excellent seats. We were at the top of the very first tear right by the catwalk. It was a perfect view.
At 7pm, the show opened with Icona Pop. They were pretty good. I had no idea who they were until they finally sang «I Love It.»
When it was time for Miley to take the stage, the lights dimmed, her face popped up on the HUGE screen at the back of her stage and the crowd went wild. The mouth opened up on the photo of her face and this huge tongue slide started coming out. Yes, you heard me correctly… I said tongue slide. And that’s how she made her entrance onto the stage, by sliding down a tongue slide out of her own mouth. Very cool!
I really have to give credit to MIley, for 2 hours & 45 minutes, she sang her heart out. No lip syncing for this girl. I just don’t know how she did it without running out of breath. She’s just so completely full of energy. The show moved so quickly and there was always something happening. The nearly 3 hours only felt like about 30 minutes and was just over way too soon (pout).
When she sang «Love, Money, Party,» I started smelling weed. Like big time. I asked hubby if he smelled it and he pointed out some smoke machines to me. They must have been pumping the smell through there. It’s no secret Miley smokes pot. She herself has made this fact very well known. It just amazed me they were able to duplicate the smell so perfectly. Then when she sang «We Can’t Stop,» the arena was once again filled with the smell of weed. Personally, I thought it was really cool and a very interesting concept!
Was she dressed in skimpy clothes? Hell yes! Did she twerk? Hell yes! Did she stick her tongue out? Hell yes! Did she cuss worse than a sailor whenever she was talking to the crowd? Hell fucking yes!
Even though her wardrobe was skimpy, I gotta give props to her designers because they were some pretty amazing outfits.
The stage was just fabulous. I can’t even begin to tell you how huge her screen was. There was constantly something happening on the screen like cartoons, etc. When she sang «Adore You,» there was a huge photo of an engagement ring on the screen and she encourage everyone in the audience to make out like crazy. As she was singing the song, they were showing various people from the audience making out inside the engagement ring on the stage.
I’m sure there probably were some kids there, but I only saw 1 myself. I saw one little girl who looked to be about 9 or 10 with her parents when were waiting to go inside (completely inappropriate if you ask me). Waiting outside, walking through the arena, scanning the crowd before the show, I just really didn’t see any kids. And I’m happy about that. This IS NOT a show for children. Miley is no longer Hannah Montana. The majority of the people there were in their late teens through their 20s. At 41, I was probably one of the oldest people there. LOL But hey, I’m still young at heart and I feel like I’m in my 20s, so that counts, right?! =)
I have seen many, many concerts in my lifetime and I can honestly say the 2014 Miley Cyrus Bangerz Tour is the best concert I have ever been to. It is now right at the top of the list! I will not hesitate to see Miley in concert again if I get the chance in the future.
Miley, if for some reason, you happen to read this, you are fucking awesome!!!
