It seems a little bit smaller and a little bit more sparse than other libraries in more affluent areas and that is a shame because this library is a busy one. It’s one of those terrible Catch-22s in life — this Library is used more because the people who live nearby can’t afford to go out and buy the latest book or DVD — yet the Libraries in areas where the local residents are wealthy and could afford to go out and buy themselves the latest copy of any book(and one for every member in their book club too) has all the amenities. I have found lots of relatively new DVDs to view from here. The staff is very pleasant and helpful.

What can I say, besides books there are DVD’s and CD’s. My computer is full of music I did not have to pay apple for. Yes I have thousands of songs courtesy of your tax dollars. Thanks neighbors! I did have to print something here once and that was a pain. Using the computers is timed and they are very outdated. Checking items out here is not as full service as the downtown library and it is much smaller.

So, this is Southtrail. I get so emotional writing all these reviews of library branches. It’s only that the inequality of how people live in this country really can be reflected in the quality of the library branches. This branch is a huge contrast to a branch like the Alafaya for example. It would help if you knew French and Spanish here, but it’s not required. Great place to learn though. It’s very crowded. A lot of teenage kids seem to always be huddled over the computers laughing and joking about.
