I called to find out about their menu. The person that answered the phone, I asked if they speak english and she said no, I then asked if anyone their spoke english and she said no. I asked another question and she answered it in english, I stated so you do speak and understand english she then passed me off to a person who did speak english. Why would you blatantly lie to a customer. I asked if they could fax a menu and the person said I am not sure we have a fax machine. we had 20 people that would have ordered from there but they lost our business. I guess if your American you are not welcome there

Love this place, they fried your empanadillas and sorullos at the moment you order which mean you always going to eat fresh food and also they make really good rice and beans with different meat and chicken I will recommended to anybody btw they are Cuban the just own the name of the rest.

Found this place on Unilocal by doing a search for Puerto Rican. I try to support all businesses on this list and wanted to try this place out. I also fairly close and was excited to try a new place for coffee and sandwiches. Unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to order not try anything. I walked in and there were 3 ladies behind the counter and none of them said hello to me nor even acknowledged that I was there. All 3 were focused on some novela on the tv. Then when I tried to order a coffee, one of them looked at me as if I was bothering her from the show. I then decided to just walk out. It’s a shame because I was really looking forward to finding a new place to eat, close to where I live and becoming a regular here, but they need to work on their customer service skills. I’m not asking to have my *** kissed but at least a hello when I walk into your place and I’m right next to the counter standing right next to you.

Is it ironic that the Boriqua Café is owned by a Cuban family? Either way, my wife love this place to grab a quick breakfast and coffee. The two of us can grab a bite and get out in under a half hour for around twelve bucks. The coffee is always good and the food is like eating at my families house — although I haven’t tried their dinner stuff yet. The tripleta os one of the better ones in the area, but takes a long time to make.
