Park Smart Lot 9

Being out-​of-​towners for the weekend we parked here when we wanted to checkout downtown for some nightlife. This place is a short walk to where you want to go and where most the bars are DT. It was well lit and it wasn’t hard to find a nearby pay station. We didn’t have a hard time finding a spot either but it was still «early» in the evening around 11:30. And at $ 1 an hour, you really can’t beat the price especially with the proximity to the action. We pay more than that in Tampa for just about everything.

This paid parking lot is located off Hughey, under I-​4 near church street and the (new) Amway Arena. Park then use the pay station, which accepts cash, coins and credit cards. It’s quick, easy, inexpensive!
Rhea P has the steps down and if you don’t have your Unilocal app up, fear not, there are clear directions on the pay station. If you are paying with cash, it’s good to remember some singles, since there is no change given. As in, if you use a $ 20, guess you can park for a few days…
Lot is very well lit at night, including some new cool neon.

Awwww. Parking under I-​4. It’s one of the things I do best in downtown Orlando. At only $ 1.00 per hour, it really is reasonable.
Using the lot is quite simple:
1. Park your car
2. Pay for parking at one of the near by meters. The meter accepts cash as well as cards. If you use cash you will not get change.. .
Let me repeat that.
IF YOU USE CASH, YOU WILL NOT GET CHANGE. I learned this the hard way when I used a $ 10 bill one evening. I like downtown Orlando, but I seriously don’t see myself staying for 10 hours straight.
3. Place your ticket with expiration time facing up on the dashboard of your car. Make sure to complete this step so you will not get ticketed.
You can keep the stub with the time your parking expires with you as a reminder.
