Quest Diagnostics

Sometimes I wonder why they bother to take appointments. Today I had an 8:30 appointment, for which I showed up early. It was 8:50 before they even acknowledged my presence and asked for my paperwork. As of now, I’m still waiting to be called back for my blood work. Highly, highly inefficient.

Very slow operating staff, Waiting without an appointment you might need a whole day off to come to this place, Very Long waiting at least 4 to 5 hours wait

I don’t know why but Quest labs are always in sketchy places. In a dark corner off some beaten road. However although this location matched that description the inside of this quest lab was brightly lit and clean. I made an appointment and was actually 5 minutes late for the appointment but my wait was just under ten minutes. The technician was super nice and patient. (I’m a nervous talker) He answered all my questions and took my blood very quick and painless. Although this isn’t the closest location to my work or home I’ll most likely come back here if I need more work done.

Did not make an appointment and was in in 15 minutes. The care here is much better, kinder and compassionate than most labs. I just highly recommend them.

Made an appointment had to wait only 15 min when the walkin wait was an hr long. Make an appt an found out Mondays and Tuesdays are the busiest days so stay clear of those days. The lady I had was very good I’m usually a hard stick but she found a vein on the first try and got what she needed without extra sticks. I was in and out from start to finish in about 20 min because I made a reservation.

We all love to have that blood drawn… NOT! But this place makes it cool. I had gone to the doctors this morning and decided to fast just in case he told me to get blood work done. He did… so I showed up at about 10 am and the place was packed! I asked about how long a wait it would be and the receptionist said about an hour without an appointment. Luckily, I saw a few people I knew waiting there too so we started chatting… and 40 min flew by! The people with appointment did come in… register… and were called right in with in 5 min of their appointment so I do recommend making an appointment via their web site otherwise you will have to wait.
The lady who took my blood was fast, funny, and did not hurt me at all! She was great! I have been here a number of times because of their ‘painless’ staff!
All in all I was in and out in 50 min and went out for lunch… but that another review!

How fun is getting your blood taken? NO FUN AT ALL!
However, when you know you have to do it, do it the right way!
#1 — Make an appointment. When I walked in here this morning it was PACKED! However, they stood by all of their appointments and I was seen within 10 min of when I arrived.
#2 — Drink PLENTY of water before you go, the day before and the morning of. I just learned this, helps your blood flow better.
#3 — Talk to the person who is drawing the blood. The young lady I had was very quiet at first but then I engaged her and she was lovely. She was informative of what she was doing and had me out of there within 3 min with NO PAIN and NO BRUISE!
WHAT?
I have to admit, when I walked into this place (seems a little run down and not top notch) I was already writing the review in my head. However, the efficiency of this place lead it up from 2 stars to 4!
