I’ve used Rinaldis for 2 years now to maintain my 3 ACs. Always professional and reasonable. I’ve had no real issues.

They are not sticking to their word. They said they made a mistake and the AC unit leaked from the attic to the garage and they would fix the ceiling that is now sagging. They never came and I called a year later and they said sorry that is not what we said. We would have a drywall team come out there and give you a quote. And since its been a year later it’s too late anyway. My folks had them for years and they continued to come out and blame my dad for not setting the temp correct.

I just want to comment on the professionalism from my initial contact for service to the technicians who serviced my unit. Kathy, Rick and Justin. A+++. Please keep up the excellent work because I will be calling for all of my service needs. I had a great experience. See you in six months.

Too bad there’s not an option for 0 or negative stars. I called this business(I use the term business loosely because it’s more of a dissapointing circus where all the animals have died years ago and all that’s left is the guy that sweeps up after the elephant) and scheduled an appointment for between 1:00 and 4:00 because my ac was not blowing cold. I figured I’d give a call around 3:45 for an update. I was told I’m next. Great… 5:00 rolls around. I’m told there’s one person ahead of me.(Who got to skip ahead in line? I wonder if it was someone famous?!?) Now I’m guaranteed someone would be here between 6:00 and 7:00. So around 7:36 when it’s 88 degrees in my livingroom, I finally get in contact with someone(after office hours) and yayyy David is ALMOSTHERE! I don’t know if David stopped for a snack or a milkshake or something but he finally arrived around 8:15. David, David, David. What can I say about David. I guess we can start with the fact he was trying to be condescending. He asked me, «Do you have the proposal from last time, or did you just throw it away?» And my particular part is so expensive because I’m paying for«expertise». I did get $ 50 off the labor for the seven and a half hour wait. I should’ve just been told from the beginning that they could not fit me in today instead of desperately trying to squeeze me in so they could make a couple bucks off of me. I felt so strung along all day. It was an emotional roller coaster. Needless to say I will not be using this company for the follow services needed.

My wife and I bought this house 6.5 years ago so we could be closer to the grand baby. One of the reasons we bought it was that it was a 1 owner home and nearly everything had been updated by the last owner. The A/C was brand new and Rinaldi’s was the company to install the unit. After 6 years I decided it was time to have the system checked out even though everything was running fine so I called Rinaldi and they told me all about their service plan that they offered. They check the system twice a year and offer a reduced rate on parts and labor. The price seemed reasonable so I opted to take the plan. In hindsight, I probably should have shopped around… Yesterday the A/C stopped working but I had not noticed it until late in the day. I called Rinaldi and spoke to someone after hours and they assured me they would have someone there between 9 and 11 am. True to their word a tech arrived at 10:45 am. He was here 5 minutes and let me know the capacitor on the compressor went bad. The the parts were under warranty but the diagnostic charge and Labor came to $ 170. I paid it because I wanted the A/C repaired but since I had a service contract, that seemed a bit high to me. I got the part number and after the tech left I went online and looked up the cost of the part. At the MFR’s website, the part would have cost $ 30. The technician told me that part would have cost me over $ 200 if I did not have a 10 year warranty on parts. OK, that right there set off a warning bell in my head so I called the office to confirm exactly what I was charged for and how much the charges broke down to. I was given a detailed explanation but figured I would shop around because I felt like I was taken for a ride. I IMMEDIATELY called 4 of their competitors after looking up what others had to say about them on Unilocal and asked what it would cost to have the same work done. WITHOUT a service contract in place ALL of them would have been cheaper than what I was charged WITH a contract in place. On top of that, ALL of them offered the same service contract for less than I paid. I will likely have them perform the second check when it is close to winter but I am pretty sure I will NOT be renewing my service contract with them. The ONLY reason they get 2 stars is because they showed up on time and quickly resolved the issue BUT I can’t overlook that their rates are WAYOUTOFLINE! UPDATE: It has been over 4 hours and the house is still not getting down to temperature and it have NEVER taken this long to cool down in all the time we have lived here SO… I called the office, spoke to the service manager and after he tried to just use a bunch of fancy double talk to explain away the unusually long time it is taking to cool back down, I will NEVER do business with them EVERAGAIN and would not recommend them to anybody at this point. They have NOW earned ONESTAR because NOW I will just have to call someone else… THANKSRINALDI *in a sarcastic tone* Do yourself a favor and just call someone else because I would hate to see someone else go through this… FINALUPDATE: I have contacted my credit card company and they recommended I have another company come and check the unit. If they find that the Rinaldi service technician overlooked something, they will credit my account for the fees I was charged. I have already contacted another company that was referred by two of my clients and a service technician is on the way. This is not about beating a charge but simply getting my A/C fixed properly. Nothing annoys me more than a service manager that tries to tech talk his way out of their service technician not checking everything out A to Z before leaving the site. I have always said… Anybody can sell you a widget but not everybody stands behind their widgets as they should… *sigh* FINALFINALUPDATE: To have another company come out was worth it’s weight in gold… Not only did they not charge me BUT it was a simple fix. There was a lot of buildup on the evaporator coil. A hose and about 10 minutes of cleaning seems to have solved the problem. Had Rinaldi’s tech taken an additional 10 minutes to clean the evaporator coil, the system would not have been running all afternoon. Speaking of… The system just kicked off and it now reads 75 like it usually does. Maybe the service manager with is 20+ years of experience should have asked me to check that on the phone instead of trying to talk down to me with his«Tech Talk» and I would have given them a better rating in spite of their high rates. RESPONSETOVENDORCOMMENT: The inside temperature of the house never exceeded 90 degrees Fahrenheit so I am not sure where you came up with the 96 degrees when I called. If you are going to respond, be accurate in your responses. Had the tech just cleaned the evaporator coil before leaving, this would have been a positive review instead of a negative one…
