The brisket sandwich was freshly pulled and piled on lean as requested. The slaw basically has no seasonings or uniquely definable characteristics other than boring. There is no fryer in this facility so the fries I saw at the table beside me was brought in from another restaurant. Draft beer is another elusive request around here. All brews are served from cans. My dining partner opted for the chips upgrade, Ha! What a surprise when a bag of baked chips was brought to the table. Whom later regretted the change as the pulled pork review needed all the wet it could get. Our server was friendly and helpful in spite of the chip upset. She did offer to bring a different type but it was declined.

We used the Disney app to make a reservation and 6 of us went for dinner. I had blackened swordfish, mashed potatoes and seasonal veggies and it was wonderful. A friend chose the shrimp and grits and we darn near had to order another one after everyone sampled it and loved it! Service was very good and the cocktails were spot on. I highly recommend it for dinner if you’re staying at Disney World!

I can’t say anything bad about this place. I got the chicken nachos and it was to die for. My husband was sad that he didn’t get one of the other varieties they offered. He got the brisket and I thought it was fabulous so I’m not knocking what he had. They had outdoor seating and a live band. We sat there with a few drinks listening to them. It was a great experience!

My family ate here on our recent trip to Downtown Disney. My husband loves barbecue, but this place didn’t live up to its name. We ordered pulled pork sandwiches, a hotdog, and a brisket sandwich. The pulled pork was covered in a tangy sauce and barely had a smoky taste. The brisket sandwich was dry and the sides of baked beans were drowning in a weird, tangy, reddish-orange sauce. And of course the coleslaw was a little dry because the dressing had settled at the bottom. I highly doubt I’ll ever eat there again, but $ 55 for a family of 5 to eat at Downtown Disney wasn’t too bad. But, what surprised me was their suggestion for tips on the receipt! A tip?!? For what? Just standing there and taking my order, like any other fast food type restaurant?!? I don’t tip at McDonald’s! The food already cost enough, they were pushing it asking for tips.

Had an hour to kill, why not some smoky poky stuff to eat? We found Smokehouse and decided to give it a try. Note that me and my daughter are fans of all types of pok dishes… so we are very tough on the plates anyone tries to serve us… To our relief, this place did not disappoint. What a surprise for a amusement park eatery. We had the pulled pork brisket and the St. Louis Ribs… both above average. And the price was not bad for the venue(…Disney) Also the coleslaw and the baked beans were very good. Caveat: the portions are small, and we sat outside(it was 1pm), no indoor seating, not too pleasant when it is 90 °F in the shade. Anyway, the taste, species and quality was above average, recommended!

I’ve been to a few around the country, this one has some very good food. Better then it’s surrounding competition and it’s usually packed as most every other place as well. No draught beer, just bottles and cans, however decent selection and they have wine and spirits too. I would recommend stopping in over most any other near-by restaurant, unless you are Lucky enough to get into Fulton’s Crab House… just sayin’

My brisket and hotdog was delicious. The staff wasn’t rude but, far removed from the customers. There were three order placing windows available. Five employees in view at the window and two employees in the kitchen area. There where no lines. When I approached the window, the gentleman in front of me began placing his order. His order consisted of a beer and a sandwich. Because there is not a pick up window the staff allowed him to stand there for fifteen minutes as I stood there looking. I was never acknowledged. Wow! It’s my turn. I placed my order. one Smokey brisket sandwich, one hotdog, and one pulled pork sandwich(31 $). Order from being to end took all of five minutes. If the price of the food wasn’t so high, there would be no profit.

Rounded up 2.5-star. They’re located near the outdoor cocktail lounge at House of Blues, and right across from Disney Quest. My husband and I ordered the ½ rack of ribs. I’ve been to more than a few BBQ places since I moved to Fl and the ribs here rank far behind all of them. That said, they weren’t too bad, but the BBQ sauce that covered them is much too sweet. My(picky) husband who prefers sweet BBQ agreed. Also, it was a pretty small portion but we paid 12.99 for it. Not worth that at all. However, the walk-up window has a few more BBQ options to choose from, and the outdoor seating area is very nice. There was a guitar player entertaining us while we ate.

Had the pulled pork sandwich and beans. Pulled pork was tender with right amount of sauce, but too much vinegar. Beans were very odd, tasted like ketchup, vinegar and pepper. If that’s the same as the House of Blues menu, I won’t be going back. The décor was awesome though.

I had a short while before La Nouba and was looking for a quick bite that would still allow me to explore the Downtown Disney district a bit. I stopped in at The Smokehouse, attached to the House of Blues, for a quick bit. The positives are few, so let’s start there. + Quick service. You order in a line, pay at the same counter, and collect your food there. It took mine about three to four minutes to be ready. + The live music. The Smokehouse is outdoors, so you have live music playing right on the patio. The keyboardist/guitarist whilst I was there played some Guns n Roses, which was awesome. + The environment. Lots of people hanging around, enjoying beverages(there is a bar connected to the patio), eating food, socializing, and having a jolly good time. Improvements could be made: + With the ordering line. There isn’t a separate window for waiting — you order and wait for your food in the same area — so at peak times, this could be busy. Unless, if during busy times, they call a number or something? + The food. The beef brisket wasn’t nice. Very fatty. Lack of any flavor. Luckily, the BBQ was tasty, and I was able to mask the meat in that. My advice: listen to the music from the bar area or grab a soda from The Smokehouse and skip the brisket. Or try the chicken. Maybe that’s better. How can chicken go wrong?

If you’re looking for good BBQ at Walt Disney World, this isn’t it. I tried it a month after it opened and the brisket sandwich($ 11.99) was dry. The pulled pork sandwich($ 9.99) wasn’t much better, but it had a good flavor to it. Both came with a small side of cole slaw and a smaller container of BBQ sauce, which both sandwiches needed. Not the worst thing I’ve had at Downtown Disney, but I was seriously underwhelmed with my meal, and didn’t feel it was worth the price.

pluses: 1. friendly staff 2. accommodated a large group 3. nachos with beef were great 4. for Disney… good prices minuses… 1. beans 2. ribs were overdone 3. brisket was dry… good with extra BBQ sauce which was free overall this place is okay. if you are stuck in downtown Disney and need BBQ, it isn’t bad but isn’t special. the nachos were pretty good.

The brisket is juicy and tender. The beans have a unique flavor with a touch of sweet and tangy. The service from the gang behind the counter is top-shelf. Great bunch of guys. The BBQ sauce is very different. Has a tang in it like somebody spilled the vinegar in the sauce. A bit much on the ketchup. Good thing the brisket can stand alone. Great atmosphere. The pulled pork is excellent. I did not try the ribs.

Limited menu of barbecue fare. Brisket, pulled pork, pulled chicken, Turkey legs, ribs and a hot dog. all delicious — especially the pulled pork. Reasonably priced — the most expensive item comes in at $ 12.99. You’ll be sitting outside — and if you time it right — you’ll get to take advantage of the Happy Hour at House of Blues — which is without a doubt the best drinking deal in Disney. I believe it is from 3−5pm and the. 10−11PM. The smokehouse is not exactly a restaurant as you may assume — at least not in the traditional sense of Downtown Disney restaurants. It is the outdoor seating area of the House of Blues and a walk up shack on the Downtown Disney strip. If it’s what you’re in the mood for it’s quite perfect. Inexpensive. Delicious. No frills. And you can listen to live music when you time it right. Just perfect.
