The Other Bar has a weekly Stand-​Up Comedy night on Mondays from 8:30−11. Last night was the first night I attended and let me tell you… laughed my butt off.
As we were walking to the bar, my friends and I were weirded out by how quiet DT was on a Monday evening. Well when we arrived at The Other Bar it was jumpin’. Like everyone who ventured out this specific night got the bat signal to go to The Other Bar, crazy!
We got there right around 9 while the tables were filling up and apparently Orlando has a TON of stand-​up comics because the list was FULL for the evening. The comics are given 5 minutes on stage to do whatever routine they want. There was a mix of men/​women, older/​younger, hilarious/​not so funny and overall, such a great time.
I was impressed with the balls of some of these people to step on stage and open themselves up to judgment of complete strangers. Some delivered so well I laughed all 5 minutes and the others had one or two but overall I was impressed with everyone.
I believe I am going to make this a stop at least 2 times a month, so fun! I encourage you to stop in and check it out… and… if you have the urge… get up and tell us some jokes!
