I guess you’re a Stein Mart fan depending on your age. Clothing-wise Stein Mart doesn’t really offer anything for the younger ladies or even kids. I find that most of the clothes here are for the older ladies, I know my mom loves the place. The shoe section has more fashionable comfort shoes but not ones I would personally wear either. This Stein Mart does have a good home section. If you’re looking for new bedding and sheets or home décor this is a good spot to look if Home Goods doesn’t have anything you like(I think their bedding is actually better than Home Goods). I like the micro fiber sheets Stein Mart sells and they have good pricing: $ 20 for queen size sheets. They also have an ample men’s section. What I do come here for is the beauty tools area for the fashion tape and sticky boobs(haha, ladies you know what I’m talking about). They have a huge selection of Hollywood brand beauty products ex. clear bra straps, sweater fuzz remover, etc.

I love this store! Hadn’t seen one since I visited Montgomery, AL. So glad we have one nearby. No wonder they are voted best department store in America. We shopped till we dropped! From shoes to clothes, jewelry and more! I cannot wait to shop some more. This is now my number one store.

This store acts like it is a discount store but secretly it is just filled with things that no one would ever buy. So even with a discount you are getting ripped off. Definitely caters to an older crowd. Service is super slow, they don’t have enough cashiers working at a time. I would definitely steer clear of this place. Has a lot of junk and out of style /dated clothing options. Prices are really not great. Better off going to Marshall’s or TJ max.

Great close place to shop if you don’t want to go to the mall. They Have name brand items which I love –just wish that all coupons would work on them. When they have sales though they are good sales. It is a hit or miss place. Wish the kids dept was bigger

I visited the store this evening. Yeah, I was returning a hat my sweet heart bought for me in good faith, so I was not purchasing.); Yes, she thought it was a good try– and try it good I did, but, the good faith turned to fate and then hello returns dept. Now the returns dept. actually turns out to be the one cash register open at the moment, on that end of the store. Now thats cool chit too, cause you just know if you have that inevitable«issue» during the credit-back transaction, you will gain instant fame with a small crowd. YEAAAAH? Why not find some joy in it all cause you have to survive this trip. So you put on your game face with the confidence everyone behind you will — ONEDAY, or has already been the reason for bolixin’ up progress for everyone behind you one time in their life. And misery does love any kind of company. But the only guilt I can truly muster here is for returning a gifted purchase from a loved one with good intentions — Not my fault Amer. Express– gives us both different card numbers; on the same account! So, my card just don’t ring the bell so to speak when she trys to credit the purchase back — Oh hell with all this cool technology. So, does she go for another first down or punt? We punt. After ringing Hauncho #1 and learning he is out of the office, and Hauncho #2 is AWOL, #3Hauncho answers on the 5th ring and gives the very nice cashier by the way, the«go ahead». She was sweet too. She shared her feelings that this hat would probbly look good on me-and asked was I really certain I wanted to return it? I assured her it ain’t me, but thanks tho. I had checked out all their other offers to no avail before getting in line. She assures me all the young people are wearing this style now — and it is very popular! Humm, I pause and with some reservation I diplomatically comment perhaps that is why I have some problem with it? –wink– I feel bad, so I offer up that I prefer a golfer’s hat really — like the Greg Norman’s style. She swipes my card 3x’s and then manually enters may digits into the ma-chine to complete the printing of my ace wrapping bandage of a receipt. The people behind me relax a bit and the vib of it all melts into a lost memory.(till now) The cashier and the patient people next in line get the 5 stars really.

When I go to a place like Stein Mart, I figure I’ll find some good bargains. It just wasn’t the case recently at this Dr. Phillips store. Granted, they have designer names, so you’re not likely to find flea market prices here. But $ 95 for a pair of shoes from Stein Mart I just can’t see paying. On the positive side, the store is neat and clean.

I confess that I mocked Stein Mart when I first moved to Orlando. I took one step in the door and immediately thought that I had been transported back to a department store circa 1974. I still feel that way when I visit, but I also realize that department stores in 1974 served a purpose. Stein Mart offers a clothing, linens and household accessories. Not surprisingly, these are things that most of us need to purchase from time to time and Stein Mart gives locals a one stop shopping solution. Prices are good – often great – and there are plenty of people working the floor to assist. Today I stopped at Stein Mart because I needed new gym shorts. While I might have driven another few miles to one of the outlet malls, Stein Mart was the first store that I passed(without going out of my way) and I found a good selection of shorts that were on sale at about 70% off retail. Any time I can get good quality gym shorts for $ 10-$ 12, I know I am paying less than I would pay at the mall and the fact that I can avoid the horror of mall shopping makes the deal that much more wonderful! I suspect that as time goes on, I will do more and more of my shopping at Stein Mart. That may mark me as «old» but I am cool with that. And anyway, a trip back to 1974 every now and again is good for the spirit.
