«Oven Crisp» Chicken Sub!?? What the hell was I thinking? Okay perhaps there was more hoping than thinking going on with this lunch destination decision. Was I really driven to the Subway’s trough by those gorgeously fresh and mesmerizing pics of an «Oven Crisp» chicken sub? Duh, yes was blinded by pure fantasy to give up a whole plastic bag of calories to this loser offering. Yes those crisp roundels of cucumber, tomato nesting on a perfect lettuce bed was only good advertising — as it should be. Can’t believe I went against all my past experiences and learned intuition. The«Oven Crisp» chicken was actually a pale yucky luke-warm«product» — so far from that golden crispy brown promise that sang the siren’s song to my gut. Pure fantasy had me thinks it would actually be a breast — not the McD’s chickparts-stuff /foo glue«thingys». Shit — I should have tossed it to the poor city feral’s and poneyied up cash for a do over elsewhere. Oh well, that is the issue with having 60 minute lunches. Somehow I will forgive myself cause I really do know that I KNEWBETTA. Felt this sucka wallet burn before with fast food shops. What does it take to get a good sandwich at one — ever? Happen in on the same day their Corporate bellies are critiquing the place I presume? Guess that is why this was my first return visit to Subway in over 8 years. I’ll assure you too– no mo chances– PERIOD. (This store#749 is across the street from the Mall — unlike the food court pic at top but I’m betting they all are the same as a good chain should be– 95% predictable.)
