Still searching for a cheap Chinese bakery in Florida, because prices at Sun Pearl could be cheaper.(I know, perhaps the prices for Orlando are ok, but I’m just used to the California prices where pineapple buns are $ 0.75, egg tarts are $ 0.80 and pork buns are $ 1.00…) Here, the most basic pineapple bun was $ 1.15. Red bean, custard, and other buns were about $ 1.35 to $ 1.60. I wish they could have given like a volume discount!

Terrible service! I placed 4 orders a day before. Then, when I stopped by picking them up next day afternoon, they didn’t have my orders ready yet. I literally spent 30 minutes in the store to watch them preparing my stuff. What’s the point of ordering in advance? The worse thing happened later on. They didn’t key in my order so they had no idea how much my orders are. I was asked how I was gonna pay and, then, I asked whether they could have 4 subtotals but I would like to pay for all at once. Originally, they said OK but 5 minutes later, a older lady came out and yelled at me saying that«you are not allowed to do so. we don’t have automatic computer system. you are creating such a huge mess bugging us!» WTF… if i told them«pay separately», they not only needed to key four different orders but also had exchanged four times(because they only accept cash… wondering how they paid they tax or maybe NOT ever happened). I wouldn’t image how worse it could be… The worst thing was that, after I left it, I found out there was a FLY in my milk tea…(yes, I order three cups of beverages)! Never mind … that was my third time of visiting and the serving attitude is getting worse and worse.

This is my ultimate favorite bakery! I am latina, and I love our own baked goods but these Vietnamese items are unique and delicious! You can see and taste the freshness of it and they’re so inexpensive you take a full bag home for the family for less than 10 dollars! They’re also good for Boba tea! And they have a buy one get the second one for $ 1 special! My favorite is the coconut milk Boba tea! Simply amazing! Even if you’re skeptical about the unknown, I would definitely recommend giving it a try!

Defiantly need cash here! They will check your 5’s and 10’s to see if it’s real. It happened so times that they got fake ones. So don’t get mad or something when they check your bills. Some of the buns are pretty pricey so I usually don’t get those. Their cakes are pretty good. The ones that are animal shape have no flavor and no filling! It’s just for the look and pretty bready. If you don’t want to spend too much money, don’t buy the animal shape ones. I haven’t try their bobas yet so I can’t say but they have a good deal when you buy two. They also make whole cakes. If you want customized cakes, please ordered few days earlier for them to make and prepare it.

While I was in Orlando, I really wanted to look to see if there was a Korean bakery anywhere. This place pops up, so my girlfriend and I decided to try it out, the pictures on here made our mouths water. We got a bunch of pastries and some moon cakes. Our favorite was the matcha red bean cake and the green tea moon cake. And I think that’s where the list ends. The custard bun was nothing special, same as any bakery you come across. The black sesame soybean cake looked so good but was very underwhelming, maybe because I like my sweets sweeter. But to each their own. The green tea moon cake was nice and dense, sweet too and had a odd but pleasant after taste. The coffee sponge cake wasn’t too bad, wishing they would put a little more cream on all of their pastries. We also got a couple drinks, I got the strawberry milk tea and my girlfriend got the traditional milk tea, but we’re also underwhelming. I asked for extra sweet which I didn’t get, tasted the same as my girlfriends which was made however they normally make it. It’s pretty much a watered down version of anything you order. With a hint of the flavor you choose. They got plenty of different pastry items for all different kinds of taste buds, but this definitely didn’t do it for me at all. I know some people like things not being too sweet but this was just not for me. On to the next.

DONOTGETTHEBUBBLETEA! I know it’s buy one, get one for $ 1, but there’s a reason!!! First, my milk tea came out in an alarming shade of neon green! Second, they did not use enough honeydew powder so the drink just tasted like water with a hint of honeydew. It also wasnt sweet enough. The whole drink lacked flavor and I had to toss it. Same exact problems with the green tea milk tea. DO get some pastries. The honeydew cake is really good. The honeydew flavor is strong, but not overwhelming. The sponge cake is also light and fluffy. The coconut egg tart was also very good. They used the sweet coconut paste that they put in the buns which is amazing in tart form. Definitely unique and a must-try!

Awesome variety of assorted baked goods from sweet to savory. It is a small store located in the Asian strip mall between a Asian grocery store and a ramen resturant which is really good also. They also have many bubble tea and other hor/cold drinks to accommodate your desires. They had a sale where you can get buy 1 drink and get 1 half off which would come to about 5 bucks. The baked buns itself are all decently priced and all taste really good. We came around an hour after they opened and the staff were still bagging up the breads and buns thay just came out of the oven. So you guys should come early to pick out the best and try its warm and fresh. My favorite that stood out was the the soft bun roll with dried pork and one of those buns with taro in it. The turn off part about the place is that they only accept cash and they don’t have this deal where you buy 5 and get 1 free. Good thing there is a Chase bank across the street. Overall the prices were very fair for what they provide and I would stop by everytime I go to Orlando.

A good place to get Taiwanese style baked goods, lots of variety and interesting flavors to try. The dough is softer than Italian or French bread. Many do have meat in it, like meat floss, vienna sausage, ham, etc. There is also an extensive drink menu, with items like bubble tea. While this doesn’t compare to the ones I’ve seen in California, not a bad choice in Florida.

Sun Pearl is my newest favorite on bakery section. This is a Taiwanese bakery that my wife like. It has many bakery item from the hometown. Since it is close to one of the travel agency that provide bus transit, many of the bus travel get a few snack before they leave the station. If bakery item sold out they not going to add until next day. So — if you see somethings you like buy it first before you roaming to next china town store. This may be the only place selling the green tea with red bean sponge cake roll. The cake is spongy and roll with cream and red bean. May of the bun have stuffing ingredients in it. It is nice to have. I like their coffee cake also. At valentine day, they have the heart shape small bite piece cake. I enjoy my shopping here and will be back if I pass by here.

I loved this bakery. I bought some bread and cake to take home and they were so good. The chef was quite creative and skillful. Many new items there I have never seen. And they were beautifully decorated. I haven’t try their drink yet. Judged from the bread and cake. it’s a 5 stars. Not only the bread tasted so good the pricing was reasonable. It located in China town and there is a bus stop around the corner. A lot of bus riders stop by this place to grab a snack and drink. So if you see some bread you like, buy them right away. They may be gone when you come back later.

You cannot go wrong with this place. This is a BEST Asian Bakery Store in Orlando area. I bought many sweet and savory cakes when come to this place. The sweetness tastes is perfectly. Make you addicted. I quite disappoint with BOBATEA, sometimes they make them good and sometimes too SWEET like American taste. I always go with Taro Milk Tea, but decided to give a try on Apple Boba Tea. The tea came out with a load of sugar in it. Over Sweet & I added much of water to lighter the taste. Give it a TRY. You won’t disappoint !

DONOT go anywhere else for bubble tea if you’re in the area. No, seriously. Don’t. They make ah-mazing bubble tea. My husband has tried several of their flavors and they are always consistently good. I stick with coconut and it’s soooo good. We go out of our way every time we’re in Orlando just for the bubble tea. We tried bubble tea in the asian market in the same area one time. Looked the same, but nope. It was gross. We tossed it and got bubble tea from Sunpearl. I live in Miami and have yet to find really GOOD bubble tea. I’ve tried a few places but no dice. Their bakery items are good — interesting. The buns and sweets and all kinds of stuff. I’ve liked almost everything I’ve gotten from the bakery section, except one thing, but I couldn’t tell you what it was if you paid me. It was green… so my assumption is green tea something, but yeah. I digress. Bubble tea. Cash only. Go.

Love it! What a cute bakery! Wishing we would have purchased some more to bring home. Wish we had a similar bakery where I live. Until then, guess I will need to remember and stop by here any time we are in Orlando. We came 30 minutes before they were about to close up for the night, and there were still many selections to choose from. I’m sure we missed out on a lot of the good good stuff though– next time! There was a lady there(the owner?) who was friendly and helpful. We got an assortment of buns and cakes to take home. The pineapple cake was moist and light. Not too sweet– just perfect! The taro bun was good too and same– not too sweet with a nice texture. The dried pork and taro bun– so good! We should have grabbed more of these! Not really ideal to sit and hang out as I noticed not much seating. It’s pretty much a grab and go kind of place. Prices are great and you can get a good variety to try without spending too much.

First word of advice: Bring cash, they don’t take card. Sun Pearl is one of my favorite Asian bakeries around!(But how many Asian bakeries are there really in the area though?) It’s a bit of a drive for me but I definitely make the trip because everything is made fresh and always delicious. I’m always looking to see how consistent an establishment is with their goods because that means a lot to me. With that being said, I’ve never had anything here that wasn’t good or tasted different from another time. Like a previous review stated, the cakes are actually moist and have flavor! Their not overly sweet, but they don’t lack flavor or sweetness. It’s that perfect medium. You most definitely cannot beat the prices as well, especially for the quality you are receiving. I know boba places are popping up and are gaining more popularity but Sun Pearl is my go to joint for boba. Chewy Boba is the only other place I can think of that has a mango slush boba that’s comparable to Sun Pearl’s. My go to drink however is the passion fruit tea with boba. It’s the bomb! It really isn’t a place to sit down and snack, but I’m more than okay with that. I generally go and buy my weight in bread/cakes and I’m pretty much set for the month :)(My favorite bread is the chocolate bun!)

FOOD Green matcha mousse cake(2.75 I think) Usually I do not like asian cakes because I love moisture and lots of flavor. In my experience, Chinese, Korean, and Taiwanese cakes are generally drier(but very cute!) and very light in flavor to supplement sweet beverages like bubble tea. Surprisingly the cake was more moist than expected with a tad of matcha flavor. They put a layer of dried tea powder on top. I wish the cream in the middle had more green tea flavor. All in all, it was a very delicate dessert and I was satisfied. Taro bread(1.25 I think) Get it while it’s fresh if you can so that it’s soft and melts in your mouth. The bread has marbled taro with taro filling in the center. It was pretty good. Sufficiently moist and flavorful. ATMOSPHERE The store is clean. Breads and cakes are cute. Lots of sunlight. Breads are fairly cheap and presentable if you wanted to bring some snacks to a party. SERVICE A self-serve bakery. Cash only and limited seating! Wooden counter top near the window for the outdoor view. It could be cute to study here. LOCATION The bread store is Taiwanese, not Chinese, but it is located in Pine Hills(Chinatown). Right next to the ramen shop! I wouldn’t go out of my way to come here, but whenever I am in the plaza I’d stop by.

This little Taiwanese bakery is one of my family’s mandatory stops every time we’re up in Orlando, or even passing by it. Sometimes we call ahead to make sure they have our buns saved for us, as they can sell out fast! Pretty much all of their offerings are delicious, but our favorites are the dried pork buns, the cheesecakes, and the red bean buns. The buns are also pretty cheap, making it easy to try everything that your little heart desires to(or should I say stomach?). The bread is super soft and I have yet to find any of the buns to be overly salty or sweet. I’m not the biggest fan of their bubble tea, I prefer Chewy’s instead. They also seem to run of out of tapioca pearls often. Make sure to take note of this bakery being cash-only before visiting. The service is a bit nonexistent, sometimes I wonder if it would kill them to crack a smile once in a while. That doesn’t bother me too much, as this is a common occurrence in Asian bakeries(or businesses in general), as I’ve experienced in the past. This is more of a grab-and-go type of place, as there is limited seating, which is usually occupied by what seem to be family members of the staff. Give this bakery a try if you’re into Asian buns and other baked goods of that sort! Show up earlier for the best selection, and don’t forget to take some cash with you!

Perfect little self serve bakery off of W Colonial rd. Went there Sunday morning 30min after they opened and it wasn’t busy as at all. From the previous reviews I knew my first selection was that little piggy :) then I started seeing pineapple coconut, taro bread, and then they had 2 different flavors of cake packaged together for the price of one. Almost Everything has a Mandarin(I think) description as well as English one too!(awesome). I’m so indecisive so I was in there walking in circles with my hands full and this little boy brought me a tray(so sweet) and then the lady restocking the pastries asked if i needed help. I liked that but I declined knowing I’d be done eye balling all the goodies soon enough and would hopefully come to a decision. My goal was to stay under 10 $ and I did(whoop whoop) with the 2 for 1 i ended up with 6 items! I got the Piggy sweet bread(like Hawaiian bread x 10000), bbq pork bun, flakey sweet cheese bun, coffee walnut something cake, and the 2 for 1 cake packs weren’t labeled for each flavor so I couldn’t tell you what it was… What I can tell you is one was the color of vanilla cake with brown crust and the other was either green tea or maybe honey due ? All were amazing I cut a qtr of each piece when I got home. The coffee cake was ok, pork bun sweet with savory bbq middle(next time I’ll find one that has more pork inside) the sweet cheese bun with the flakey bread was so good(I warmed it a little but it really didn’t need it) finally my favorite had to be the vanilla looking one of the 2 for 1 pack. It was sweet, spongy, and had cream in the middle YUM. I’m heading back later this week to take my friend after our phở lunch date next door. Guess I’ll see the selection for mid day if it even changes. I’ll be sure to grab some boba next time I go. The sign on the door says buy one get one for a dollar. Cant beat that.

My gf and I came here after having lunch at a nearby restaurant and we left feeling this bakery was just ok. We only sampled a few of their desserts, and while they were tasty, I didn’t find them to be great. We also purchased a coconut boba tea, make that 2 teas since you have the option of purchasing a second beverage for only $ 1. The tea wasn’t that good, definitely NOT one of the better boba teas we have tasted. Although served with ice, it was very warm which made the boba have an odd consistency. The service also left much to be desired; do not expect to be greeted with a warm welcome. All in all, I’m sure we may stop by again to grab a dessert or two when we are in the area but I’m sure we’ll get our beverages elsewhere.
