Absolutely horrible experience here. I went in for a quick glasses adjustment. It quickly became apparent the lady working had NO clue how to do her job. After doing a strange adjustment to the front of my glasses, I informed her I couldn’t see properly out of my glasses. She said she didn’t know why and there was nothing she could do. There was no way I could see to drive so I asked if it was possible she put my lenses in the wrong sides. She shrugged her shoulders and said she would check. YES. That’s what she did. There is no way that should have been possible with my frames. Another person at my usual glasses store confirmed that to me when I went to have my glasses fixed from what the rude, incompetent Target optical employee did. When I left target my glasses were extremely uncomfortable and had a weird fishbowl effect, but no way was I letting her touch them again. Turns out she hadn’t popped a lens in all the way. Thankfully, I was able to fix this myself at home. Do yourself a favor and stay far away from this place.

It seems like negative reviews for Optometrist’s are very common. I had an awful experience my first time ever getting an exam at a place in Altamonte(not Target). My glasses were wrong, the frames fit crooked on my face and were too small. So I made sure to do more research this second time. I decided to go with Target Optical and I am so glad I did. Dr. Lam was great, she took her time and explained everything so I understood what was going on. I picked up my glasses today(only a week after my exam) which was a great turn around. They feel so natural to look through, the prescription is definitely right this time. They adjusted the frames for me before I left to make sure they fit right since one of my ears is slightly higher than the other. It was such a great experience I set my boyfriend up with an appointment too and his experience was also great. The staff was patient, pleasant, attentive and professional. Nora answered any general questions I had without hesitation and she seemed very happy to assist. Fabrice adjusted my glasses for me at pick up and he was so great as well, he made sure they looked perfect before letting me leave, not in a hurry to get me out, but really wanted me to leave happy and looking/feeling great. I will always go to Target Optical at SoDo.

Dr. Lam and her staff are great! Specific shout out to Dawn, who was super helpful and very friendly. I arrived early for my first appointment with them and was able to be seen early. Dr. Lam was patient and kind, putting me at ease from the first moment I walked into her exam room. There was no pressure to buy anything I didn’t need/want and everyone I spoke to was very courteous. The location is incredibly convenient and you can use your Target card for 5% off(not on the visit, I found out, but if you order contacts or glasses through them)! I had an excellent first experience here and will definitely be back!

While Dr. Lili Lam is a decent optometrist, the staff here is incredibly incompetent. The cashier, Nora, wouldn’t allow me to exchange my unopened box of contacts that easily dried out, despite having a current Rx from my eye appointment 1 week ago. She stated I would need to see the optometrist again to get an updated Rx. I elected to return the defunct contacts and stated that I would gladly order from a competitor of she couldn’t help me. Then, she proceeded to give me copy of someone else’s prescription, which I unfortunately didn’t realize until I left the store. She was unprofessional and giving up someone else’s health information is a HIPPA violation.

I have bought glasses in Europe, and here at See Winter Park, but I swear this store, has better choices at cheap prices! I bought both prescription sunglasses and normal ones and love love love both. They had a discount for the second pair which was great. David who works there is soo amazing, he helped me think out of the box, and just was so warm and helpful. Love him. So if you want hip glasses or not, this is a good place to start

I went to Target Optical as it was convenient for me as I live right down the street. I had to try a different brand of contacts, as they ones I had used for years were no longer available. I tried them out for a week, was experiencing eye strain, and contacted them. They examined me again, tried a different strength for the lens and sent me on my way. After several weeks, I still was not happy with the contacts. I contacted them, and said I would need to come back for another re evaluation. As my schedule was tight, I figured I would just return my contact lenses at that time, and return again in several weeks to look at other options. I used some old contact lenses in the mean time. After a little over a month, I went back in to check at options. They would only see me if I underwent and paid for another exam. I will instead take my business elsewhere. I usually love Target, frequent the store several times a week. I would caution everyone to look at other options. I have used several optometrists in the past, who got it right the first time and would stand by their examination. I work as a medical provider and frequently refer patients to other health professionals — Target Optical will never get my business, and I would never refer a patient to be seen there. There is much better out there…

So I have some Rachel Zoe shades that I LOVE, but lately they keep sliding off my face. I bought a little eye wear kit at the dollar store thinking I could tighten them myself.. . well, that was a waste of a dollar. So, while visiting Target I thought I would see if one of the techs would adjust them for me. The person I saw was more than wiling to tighten them for me and told me to drop by any time I needed them tightened again.. . :)

This place was terrible. Dr. Lili Lam, O.D. had no idea at all what she was doing and didn’t take much pride in her work. She tried to fit me with contacts that were obviously the wrong size for my eye. She checked my eyes through a scope, noticed there was a problem, but chose to ignore it so she could get me out of their faster. Only after I put my foot down and told her that these contacts don’t work, did she pause to try to rectify this. The store has a shoddy supply of contacts. She didn’t have the prescription size that I needed and I was forced to put my old contacts back into my eye and walk out without trying my new prescription. On my way out, she informs me that she doesn’t cover my health insurance(even though I called and specifically asked if they take my health insurance when I set up the appointment). She claimed that the policy changed after I set up the appointment and I might have to pay the bill out of my own pocket. Conclusion:Go somewhere else.

Target Optical inside of Super Target @ SODO is a great facility! Not only is the Super Target @ SODO nice(it is often more quiet than other Targets in Orlando), but this optical facility is very nice as well! Dr. Lili Lam, O.D. is the Optometrist at this location, and she is one of the kindest eye doctors I’ve seen. Dr. Lam works limited hours, so you do need to make an appointment, but you will be glad that you did. Target Optical is smaller than a lot of other eyeglass chains(Lenscrafters, Pearle, etc), but they have a very nice selection of quality frames at reasonable prices. I am happy that they do not make the glasses in house and rather they are made and will arrive at the store within 7 – 10 days. I have had nothing but bad experiences at 1-hour eyeglass stores. Every time I have had glasses made there, they always are made wrong the first time. I would recommend this eye doctor and store to anyone.
