Cute little dive bar on Ivanhoe row, drinks are well priced and well made. Bartenders are always cool, they check up on you in a timely manner and don’t ignore you. They usually always have a cool attitude also. Pretty cool music comes through, I like the reggae nights on Wednesdays. You can smoke cigarettes in there still, which I’m not sure if that is a good or bad thing depending on who you are. I personally don’t care if I’m going to decide to go there. So yeah check it out!

Fun divey joint filled with interesting locals and cheap drinks… and a hella cool bartender named Hayley who took good care of our crew. There was also a Stella Artois rep serving up free Stellas. Sure, why not? There is a dog who hangs out there. He is the owners dog and unless I a missing something, he was not at all emaciated. In fact, he was fairly sturdy since I gave him a big hug and a smooch. Another dude brought his dog in and the two seemed to have a good time.

Came here to watch a couple of punk shows. Very divey which I love. But smoking is allowed, which I do not love. My clothes reeked when I left. Bar was all right. Bartender was all right. It looked like a worker(or maybe he was an owner) had his German Shepherd dog there. It was very emaciated and would like to chew on rocks that were kicked around by some patrons trying to play with the dog. I love dogs. I have one, and see my dog as my fur-baby. But when I see a super skinny dog, chewing rocks and in a venue with super loud music that is probably destroying his hearing, I feel horrible and really sad and depressed. ack. I guess even writing this just made me super sad. I’m going to go hug and give my dogter kisses now.

Straight up dive bar. Cheap drinks, including the mildly cold pitcher of Bud Light that a friend and I ordered. Pool Table. Golden Tee machine(which is an awesome game to play while downing a few pitchers of brew). A great juke box. Dogs, cannot forget the dogs. You will find 1,2,3 and maybe more pooches. Cute, friendly and will be more than happy to play while you drink.

If you are looking for a dive bar in the Loch Haven area, look no further. We came here for a drink before the Fringe Festival on a Saturday night. They have cheap drinks, great bartenders and a pool table. What more could you ask for. The one thing I don’t love, and therefore only earning 5 stars is that their is smoking both inside and out. Also, I was a bit disappointed to find out that they stopped serving food a few weeks ago. bummmer! Looking forward to coming back on other themed nights. #Yelp100

Was out browsing the antique stores with my mom and brother last week and spotted the sign outside Caboose advertising $ 2 Sangria. How can you pass up Sangria on a hot, sunny afternoon?! Needless to say, we decided to go in. It’s a quaint little dive bar. The owner’s dog was loose inside and greeted us at the door. I’m a huge animal lover, so I enjoyed that. The bartender was friendly… she asked how our day was going and offered to take a picture of us when she saw us messing with our phone cameras. We stayed for a couple rounds of Sangria and went on our merry way. Looking around I noticed that they offer different drink specials every day, so I would definitely come back if in the area.

Wow this place is a dive. But ladies night on Thursday — free beer and wine. The cheaper stuff but how can you beat that? Make sure you go to the bathroom beforehand there’s is a little iffy. And apparently dogs are welcome in the bar. We sat outside because it was nice night. I probably won’t be frequenting here except for free drinks but I think that’s worth it.

Last time was the first time I went and I really liked it. On some nights I love a loud, fun type of bar… and this was it. The beer selection was good too.

It is what it is, a dive bar and a good one. Cheap PBR, cool crowd. Ask for the bar games at the side of the bar

I used to go to The Caboose a lot in 2009-10(I believe it opened in ’09), but haven’t been there much in the past 6 months or so. It’s definitely a place I’d like to go to more often, and I recommend it for those who have yet to visit. The last time I was there, the bar was beer(and maybe wine?) only(i.e. no liquor). As one reviewer already pointed out, the bar has begun serving food, which I’ve yet to try. I’m way overdue for a visit here, so if I go soon and remember to update my review, I definitely will. Be sure to drop by on Friday evenings, if you can; from 6 p.m.-7 p.m., the bar offers beer for a nickel apiece(I believe the beer is Miller Lite or something along those lines — not anything you want!). That’s when I’ve been there the most and I’ve always had a great time. It may get a little crowded in there, so try and get there a little bit early to ensure your seat close to the bar and bartender!

Cool place! I stumbled in on my way home and was impressed by how relaxed it was. The bartender was super cool, friendly and easy going. The few people in the bar were low key. I really enjoyed this place; it was just the right atmosphere. I only wish they had a full service bar as I enjoy my vodka. But the jukebox makes up for it.

I love this bar, it’s simple, the staff are friendly and not stuck up or dicks. They recently started serving food, each day there is a dish that is only $ 1. on fridays from 6 – 7 it’s nickel beer. They have 4 tvs for your viewing pleasure and 2 tables out by the street so you can watch the world go by. It’s right next door to White Wolf Café and across from Rock and Roll heaven. They recently had an event where they challenged people to eat a giant sandwich, 2 people were able to do it. I saw the pictures the sandwich was pretty huge and it had a lot of stuff in it including a bowl of chili and a fried egg. Also they have a challenge for drinking a full yard(giant glass) of beer, you get it for free or win something.

The Caboose is exactly what Antique Row needed! A cheap place to drink, without gay or yuppie overtones. Of course, everyone’s welcome to come in. And I saw a great mix of all types of people during happy hour* yesterday. Even the staff from Retro City Bicycles came by for a spell. It’s the kind of place that feels like cozy beer hall, with a dive bar feel. Small, though there are plenty of places to gather around with some friends and begin(or end) your night. Kitschy, yet stark décor… and that’s a welcome change to places that overdo it with clutter and sh*t that doesn’t make any sense. There’s also a satellite jukebox and a couple video games. The Caboose is practically designed for you to meet people, with it’s tight layout and amicable staff. The owner and his star bartender are eager to make you feel welcome. Metal parlor puzzles are strewn about the bar too, to keep you occupied and to possibly facilitate bar bets on who can solve one the fastest.(Picture two weirdly shaped hooks linked together, that require finesse and skill to pull apart…) In case you can’t picture where this location, it’s situated on N. Orange Avenue, between White Wolf Café and Deja Vu Vintage Clothing — or across the street from Rock n Roll Heaven. Highly recommended, but please don’t tell any douche-y people about this place. Let’s try to keep the clientele as awesome as possible. *Happy hour on Friday’s from 5 – 7. Nickel beer! I think it’s Bud or Bud Light.
