I went for Brunch for a friends Bday. The atmosphere is awesome, service is so so and the FOOD leaves alot to be desired. IHOP cooks better for than this place. I ordered an omelet and i got back scramble cheese and eggs. Seriously, Dennys makes a better omelet than this. This was the smallest omelet ive ever seen. 3 eggs, maybe 4. scrambled mind you. 2 people ordered shrimp and grits and the grits were dirt cold. We asked the waitress and she was very defensive. Instead of fixing the problem, we got a rebuttal every single time. Dont come here for the food.

I have been here for brunch 3 times. The first time it was AWESOME. The second time the food was great, but the service was a little slow and the portions got a little smaller. On the 3rd trip I was GREATLY disappointed. Service was INSANELY slow and the server was just disinterested. The food wasn’t as good as the first two times either. When my chicken and waffles got to the table I noticed the bacon was very undercooked. The waitress walked away before I could say anything. I went to the hostess and still had to wait 10 minutes till the server came. I asked her for crispier bacon because the stuff I had was wet because the maple glaze didn’t even have enough time to cook off. 10 minutes later the bacon came back out cold and not anymore cooked than it originally was. When I told the server it wasn’t cooked anymore than the first batch she replied with, «It isn’t raw. It is cooked all the way through.» then walked away. I called the manager just to let him know. He wasn’t in so the admin left a message for him and he hasn’t returned my call over a month later.

hot mess. Reserved over 1 month in advance for 8 people at 7:30SAT night for an Ugly Christmas Sweater Dinner Party. so naturally, an HOUR&15 minutes before we arrive, a guy named Aaron called & fumbled through words pieced together like…‘big party of 200′ & ‘can’t seat you tonight’. oh and they had my reservation for 4 not 8.(wow) He said maybe we could try to get a table outside on their patio, BUT the dinner menu wouldn’t be available to us out there. I asked him to please figure out a better option to accommodate us – one that included dinner. now, since I’m assuming a party of 200 doesn’t just saunter in without a rez… WHYDIDN’T SOMEONEPICKUPTHEPHONEFORTHEPAST30DAYS& TELLMETHAT?
Aaron did call back & while I was telling him I wasn’t upset with him, just the situation, HEHUNGUPONME! his mother must be so proud. I contacted everyone in my party & secured reservations downtown at another restaurant. Note to The Fifth: They had a big ass party in there, too. They had dinner on the main floor with presents & cocktails & balloons & hats. They even booked out the private room next door for dancing. But this restaurant took my reservation & honored it. Then they provide us with food and drink. you know. like a restaurant does. how curious. Less than 30 minutes before my reservation, another call from The Fiver. This time from a manager. Why, I’m not even sure, as there was no solution, resolution or reason. Only to tell me the party of 200 had been booked for over 2 months(shocker) and she had no idea why they took my reservation, or why they didn’t call more than an hour before. I was already calm at this point, because a) I knew I wasn’t going to have to deal with that kind of wackadoo sensibility b) a cocktail was in my near future. my humble opinion? perhaps it would enrich the hospitality acumen of the staff to be retrained in taking reservations, proper phone etiquette & maybe a math class?

I came here because of a Living Social deal. My expectations were very low. And they sure did a great job of making me enjoy the whole experience! We arrived for brunch at 11:15(some sources said they open for Sunday brunch at 11:30, but the hostess informed me that they actually open at 11). Apparently they fill up their reservations, but we just walked straight up to the bar area, where there were only 2 other people. I really wanted the shrimp & grits, but they informed me that the dish had wheat. So instead they offered me the Eggs Benedict, but with avocado instead of the biscuit. YUMMY! I love when restaurants come up with creative, delicious, healthy gluten-free options. They also have the usual mimosas, bloody mary, etc. Since they had a somewhat decent variety of bottled beer, I ordered a Dogfish Head 60-minute IPA. They also had some Sierra Nevada, Woodchuck cider, and the usual Stella, Bud, etc. All in all, I was very impressed. The ambiance is very modern and cool, and it feels a bit intimidating. However, the service was awesome and the staff was definitely not snobby or cold. They were extremely attentive and helpful.

Went there for the first time today for Sunday Brunch. First we had a reservations for 130p but they didn’t have a table available and we waited a half hour to be seated. The atmosphere was a little loud for my taste, but I’m sure it was no problem for the young crowd that was there. The service was slow or maybe it was just our waitress«Rachel». We were there more than 2 hours. My husband ordered Shrimp and Grits and I ordered Chicken and Waffles. The food was good although I wanted a cup of regular coffee but was told they only have Cappuccino or espresso, so I ordered Cappuccino. Oh well! Over all it was a nice place with good food, but we won’t be returning.

I love this place! They always have good specials, and service has always been good. I loved the $ 1 martini special they had for girls on Saturdays, and I’m a bit bummed it ended recently, but such is business. In all, it’s a great place with a very nice atmosphere.

I’ve been here a couple times for brunch and the experience goes from one end of the spectrum to the other(love/hate) even when I ordered the same dish — Eggs Benedict, so clearly they aren’t very consistent with their food quality. They were packed both times, so needless to say, a reservation is still needed. The ambiance is pretty cool too… somewhat trendy. However, I did go to their Thursday ladies night and you can’t really beat the deal they offer. Two people for a total of $ 25 get an appetizer to share, your own entrée, a dessert and a bottle of wine. $ 12.50 a person… Yes, please! There were a total of 6 of us, so we were able to pair off and easily split the checks. And apparently, their menu changes weekly for this, but our food was delicious. We started with a hot avocado(never had one that was actually hot) which you eat out of the skin and it came with a small dressing that accompanied a onion, tomato and black bean salsa. My friend and I split the mahi mahi which came with strawberry salsa and the fried chicken topped with an arugula salad(this was probably my favorite) and the dessert was a variety of mini cupcakes. Overall, good food and great time!

I don’t get this place. I wouldn’t want to eat here, and as a night time bar it is mostly dead every time I drop inn.

Let me start off by saying that this spot is completely my type of scene. The décor and ambiance is FABULOUS and the mix was grown and sexy(25+). There is nothing like an upscale lounge that delivers. I was totally impressed with the«Fifth Amendment» theme as I will be attending law school in the near future. I am giving only four stars for two reasons. Number one, there was no need for the guest bartenders(10÷30÷13) they looked to be in the way of the bartenders whom are normally there. The guest bartenders made the bar look cluttered and unorganized(god bless the regular bartenders whom I must say handled the nuisance very well). Second, we did not try the food. We will definitely return sooner than later for dinner and a bite.

I went here for Sunday brunch one day and I don’t think there is anything too special about the place. The interior is modern and cool looking. The food is alright but nothing I found special. Service can vary depending but is overall good. The one big problem is that we had come here for a nice relaxing Sunday brunch then at about 1:00 a DJ came in and tried to turn the place into a college kid dance club. Playing fast techno music WAY too loud. Had to leave after that.

I’m so torn about this place. I want to rate it a 1-star for getting my order incorrect, twice, and I want to rate it a 4-star for service and ambiance. I’ll go with a 2-star for now. I came here right after work for happy hour. It’s $ 1 champagnes, which is pretty awesome. The restaurant was very chic and had nice lighting. The décor was pretty modern and hip. I was surprised it looked so nice with it right on Orange Ave and reasonable priced. I ordered a Caprese salad(which consists of tomatoes, fresh mozzarella cheese, and basil) but I was brought a house salad instead that was drenched in vinaigrette. :(I explained to the server that is not the salad I ordered and there was no mozzarella cheese on it at all and she looked confused, but brought it back and had shredded mozzarella cheese added on. I know I pronounced«caprese» correctly also so I don’t how it could have been a mistake twice. I didn’t want to send it back again(I didn’t even think she was going to take the salad back in the first place. I get really sketched out about sending things back) so I ended up eating a couple tomatoes and left the rest. :( My boyfriend ordered the sliders. They are suppose to be medium… but they were rare when they were brought out. He hates sending things back too. So he ate them. :/Refer to my pictures. Despite the server not knowing, she was very attentive and kept my glass full of champagne. That helped out with me having that bad food experience. I’ll try this place again sometime. To drink only. I guess I’ll just never order food here again.

Visited The Fifth for happy hour and I enjoyed it very much. They had great drink specials and the waffle fries were delicious. I am curious about the rest of the food so I will definitely be back. The staff was very nice, expecially Aaron behind the bar. He was very professional and provided excellent drinks!

This was our last stop on our happy hour bar hopping tour on Friday. I definitely want to come back and check out the club scene here. This review is strictly for happy hour. They weren’t really packed Friday at 7PM, so service was quite good. The waitress didn’t really know much about the beers or happy hour specials, but was very nice. The food menu and beer selection was kind of limited. We got the fries, hummus and grilled avocados. For bar food, it was actually pretty decent. The hummus tasted like it was freshly made, and the avocado, while pretty simple, was very tasty. They do have a $ 5 top shelf mixed drink special and the pours we’re very generous. I will be back to try them later in the evening. #yelp100

I always have a great experience here! The food and service are awesome. I love the Grilled Haas Avocado. They are very cool about customizing and have great Happy Hour specials. I am excited to try their brunch soon, especially for the Belvedere Bloody Mary Bar! Ladies, check out their Girls Night Out on Thursday nights! Three course meal for two AND a bottle of wine for $ 20!

Had dinner at The Fifth after walking around in downtown Orlando, unfamiliar withethchoices and looking for a place to eat. Curb appeal and a quick check for some positive reviews on Unilocal got us in the door. Positively surprised when we went inside. Very interesting décor. Kind of eclectic, contemporary-chic might be a way to put it. Even the ceiling was interesting. Nicely done on the décor. Hostess and server also get an «A» foir smiles, friendliness and attentiveness. Appetizers were interesting and very good. Hummus, grilled avocado with salsa in the center and some warm, soft pita chips. We pretty much gobbled up everything that was brought to the table for the main courses. I had a proscutto-wrapped pork tenderloiin. Again nicely done. The portion sizes that they served were right-sized. Not sure if this turns into a «scene» place later in the night but it may be cool for that too. You’ll need to test that if you want.

I must say, this place was amazing. The quality of the food here is top notch and the chef really put in time to create a credible menu. My friend recommended this place and she went on and on about their mac and cheese. I tried it and it was pretty good. The cheese smelt horrible tho. But good, nonetheless. I ordered the ceasar salad which was pretty good. Lots of green lettuce, light dressing and cheese. For the main course, I ordered the chicken sliders and it was a party in my mouth. The flavors worked so well with each other. I usually load my chicken sandwiches with condiments but here, I didn’t need to put anything on it. These chicken sandwiches are better than Chik-Fil-A, and until today I thought Chik-Fil-A had the best chicken sandwiches. The potato chips cooked in truffle oil was a bit bland to me and came out at room temperature. I would have preferred them to be warm with a bit more flavor. The ambiance is really nice inside, but its pretty small. I would recommend making reservations because of the limited seating. I would give this place 5 stars but the service could have been better. Our waitress was great but there was another waitress who had some friends show up and she wanted to seat them. So mid dinner, she asked us to move to another table. I felt like that was very unprofessional. She ended up just moving our table to allow them to accommodate her friends. I have been to a lot of restaurants, for a place so sophisticated, I would have expected more professionalism.

Funky, swanky and with interesting and reasonably priced menu options. Welcome to downtown, The Fifth. Please stick around. Six of us celebrated a birthday dinner here — and yes, this is a classy joint, nobody brings out a cupcake and sings to you. Their beer and wine lists have enough interesting selections to be functional, but their cocktail list is more interesting and the Ice Ice Baby champagne cocktail is yum. For my appetizer I completely killed a serving of their house-made potato chips — mmm, sea salt and truffle goodness. Those things are ADDICTIVE and when our food arrived, everyone at the table who got a sandwich had a bowl of them on the side, and was fortunately willing to share. The sandwiches are huge and reasonably priced at $ 11 – 13, especially with those amazing taters on the side. I ordered the chicken and waffles, and given my c+w fetishism I have to write an essay on it. I’ve seen a couple pictures of The Fifth’s chicken and waffles where it looked relatively dainty and appetizer-ish: a triangle of waffle, a chicken tender and some bacon. My portion looked significantly bigger than that — two pieces of waffle, two pieces of boneless chicken, and a long strip of candied bacon. If you like your chicken and waffles on the sweet side, I highly recommend it. The waffles are seasoned with cinnamon which is regrettably my Kryptonite though I can’t fault them for this, the bacon is suh-weet(please offer this bacon in a drink, Ravenous Pig-style!), and there’s just enough syrup on it. If you’re a traditionalist who likes bone-in chicken and gallons of country gravy this might not be the chicken and waffles for you. I am that traditionalist, and I’ll be going for the shrimp n’ grits on my next visit. The only thing I might like to see them fix is the slightly sluggish service. The two members of our party who arrived early got drinks, then when the rest of us arrived, the server stopped by to verify we were all there but didn’t ask the rest of us for drink orders — which we eventually got in, of course, but one of us never got her Pellegrino at all — it took them so long to collect our credit cards I was starting to feel like I was at a restaurant in Europe, etc. But they’re new, so I’ll cut them a break on logistics. As others have said, be careful not to walk into the mirror that makes the bar area appear twice as long as it actually is. While I didn’t witness this I noted there were indeed a couple of forehead marks on it from people butting into it, which was hysterical to me but maybe not so much to whomever walked into it.

I have been dying to check this place out and finally got to on Monday. So, first of all, sexy. Oh my gosh, it’s so sexy! Gorgeous décor and seating — it’s definitely a great place to grab a cocktail and some eats. I went with The Greenhouse cocktail. It had cucumber flavoring in it and that’s all I remember but it was absolutely amazing and we also got to try the grilled cheese. It had bacon and avocado in it and it was really good except for it was a little spicy. Gosh, I’m such a wimp. Service was friendly and fast and I can’t wait to back to The Fifth for another night of delicious cocktails and eats!

Bringin’ the SWANKY style to Downtown Orlando, hats off to The Fifth! Food, spirits and ambiance, The Fifth delivers. What may appear to be a club stop, this is really an upscale lounge to grab a fab cocktail, some delicious food and relax with friends. They have an array of cocktails but the one that caught my eye and taste buds was the Ice ice baby: St Germaine, champagne, splash of peach… Yes please. Delicious and refreshing but a bit on the rich side, be careful not to down too many before you eat! I have had the shrimp and grits and grilled cheese here along with the truffle potato chips… YUM! All were very delicious but I have to say, I can’t wait to try the meatloaf. The grits were a little too«gritty» for me, I am more of a purée grit fan but the shrimp were delicious. I also really liked the grilled cheese but I agree with Elizabeth F… a little too spicy for me but there was something about it that made me craving more. The ambiance is really what shines here. The attention to detail from the colors to the lighting is just lovely. It’s a small quaint place that I suggest you stop in and try. There is outside seating as well, great for an afternoon lunch stop.
