Came here last night looking for some interesting twists to the meatball and boy did we get it. They have a make your own format where you can combine different plate formats(meatballs on top or on a roll). They used to be called the meatball shoppe but rebranded to the meatball stoppe. I got a little confused when I got there, but it made sense. They had a special for june where you get an appetizer, 2 entrees and 2 desserts for 30 bucks. The girlfriend and I got their appetizer special which was a crab cake ball, it came in a creamy citrus sauce that was plate licking good. We followed that up with the traditional spaghetti spaghetti and meatballs which was everything you would expect with a side salad and foccachia bread. For the second entrée we wanted to do something different so we got the sausage meatball in spicy pork sauce over white bean ragu. That was my favorite, it was different and the combination was interesting. My gf preferred the traditional spaghetti and meatball. For dessert we got the 2 desserts they offered. The cannoli had a pretty look to it, by making the marscapone into a flower. The lemon sfogliatelli was a star. It’s served nice and warm and should be eaten right away with your hands. The pastry was crispy on the outside and the recotta cheese was so smooth. While we were dining a gentleman came in and wanted to buy meatballs for father’s day Sunday but was planning on reheating on sunday. I was surprised how helpful the staff and owner were to him and gave him cold meatballs so he didn’t have to wait for them too cool down to just put them in the fridge. This portrays the high quality quality of service we experienced first hand.

Don’t be confused by the signs– the restaurant is called the Meatball Stop, but all the signs say the Meatball Shoppe. We ‘stop’ped by here for dinner, and it was delicious! I got the pasta aglia e olio, which has penne pasta, olive oil, crushed red pepper, and as they described it, ‘a hint of anchovies and herbs.’ It was delicious. I wish I would of ordered one of their signature meatballs, though– they looked amazing!

Come for the menu presentation… stay for the meatballs! Great food and service. I hope I’m back in town dip to sample the assortment of flavor profiles. Hey, Guy Fieri! Come here for lunch.

My favorite part was the white bean ragout my meatballs were on. I’d go again but the portioning was a little small for what was a $ 13 lunch. Flavor was on point and the owner was SUPER friendly. I swear she’s the Italian grandma I never knew I had.

OK I have to say it. I want these balls in my mouth… … Now that I that I got that childishness off my chest lets get to the review. The shop is located on Lake Underhill and Goldenrod and has a shared parking lot with all the other small shops in that strip. Its a tiny place so I would stay no more then 20 people could fit in there and that would be pushing it. The room is decorated with pictures of the owners, their food and reviews. This is a really clean shop and you can tell they put heart into getting the place up and running. Now one of the owners, Isabella, she is like an old auntie that thinks your too skinny all the time. She is sweet and very out going(think funny eccentric family member). She greeted us immediately, got us seated and had a red wine and white one with in mins. She gave us a show of all the foods on the menu and made everyone in the place like family. There was cross table talk with a nice group of people next to us and a small family behind us. The food was also home style. I could eat here every day and bring my girls along. This is a great family spot and the food is quite yummy. As for price its cheap! Yes!!! I got the SMASH which is kinda like a Philly cheese steak with a meat ball instead of sliced beef. They do have gluten free and veggie options for their meat balls. Both are really good and you can order individual meat balls to try them all. This is definitely a place I will make into one of my regular stops.

What a darling place. You can tell the owner is proud of her restaurant and the food that they serve! She explained the menu to us and gave us some suggestions of customer favorites. It was very helpful! When we placed our drink order, I asked for water but she explained that their water is not filtered and that the shop has old pipes. She said I could have some if I insist but that they don’t drink it and suggest a bottle of water instead. I accepted, but found it kind of frustrating. One friend ordered a glass of wine and another a coke, which came in a can. We ordered the baked mozzarella appetizer. It was fresh mozzarella in a tomato sauce with fresh basil. It came with little crostinis for dipping. I ordered the mac and cheese meatballs on top of the white bean ragu. The food came out quick! It came with 3 meatballs and also a side salad and little piece of focaccia. The owner is very friendly and wants to share something about each dish that comes out so be ready to pause your conversation when your food comes out. The salad was delicious! I’m not sure what dressing came on top, but it was sweet and salty and went perfectly with the arugula, corn, onion, and feta. The meatballs were great. I wasn’t a huge fan of the cheese(or whatever it was) on top, which is weird because I loveeeee cheese. But that didn’t stop me from eating the entire thing :) I do wish the focaccia was bigger! All in all, it was a great dining experience. Sweet people and tasty food!

This is a 7 star establishment. 5 stars does not do it justice! What a hidden gem. Service: Family owned, managed and worked. The owner is just awesome. She was there with her husband and mom running the show when we went. Assuming this is always the case, it has a great family feel. She was very nice and hugged my wife when we left as if we were family! She also knows her stuff. We had a general idea what we wanted and she made suggestions which we accepted and we thoroughly enjoyed everything. Food: As mentioned, we thoroughly enjoyed everything. I got the meatball sampler with veggie, chicken parm and traditional meatballs. They were awesome. My wife go the Mac and cheese meatballs, which is not what it sounds like. They were very much Italian inspired and were brilliantly cooked. They are made with beef mixed with a very tiny rice like pasta and cheese melted in the middle. Just typing this makes me want to go back for more! We have only been once, but I would safely assume the rest of the menu is equally as fantastic. For dessert(we were too full but had to try), the Cannoli was made fresh and was excellent. The portions are perfect. I was full and my wife took home some leftovers. Ambiance: Nothing special. It is kind of like a take out chinese with more tables. You do get seated and served. However, food comes out on disposable plates. Personally, I don’t think ambiance defines the quality of a restaurant, this was okay with me. If you do prefer a more«upscale» experience, this might be a star deduction on your review or experience. Overall: Service made me feel at home, was prompt, and left a lasting impression. The food was very good. I will be here again, and again and prob again even considering my 30 min drive. When my family and friends come down from NY, they will be eating here as well.

I found this place during one of my Unilocal searches and the positive reviews really called my attention.
After having dessert first(hahaha), we needed that savory meal element to complete the night so we decided to try this place out. So we walked into this small, cozy restaurant and we were a bit embarrassed because we were definitely overdressed but the female owner Isabella was super polite and even complemented us. She explained the menu and gave us time to decide. We decided on the Meatball Smash and the Meatball Trio(onion and pepper meatball, mac & cheese meatball with creamy provolone sauce and vegetarian meatball with pesti sauce) with a side of Penne Pasta Aglia E Olio. Everything was super fresh and super delicious. The meatballs were moist and had great tasting. The sauce complemented them perfectly. The focaccia was crunchy and soft inside. Yum! The salad was also very good. The Meatball Smash was ordered with the chicken parmigiano meatball with a fried egg on top. The ciabatta roll was amazing; crunchy and great tasting. The Meatball was soft and the cheese was perfectly melted. And the egg on top was an amazing addition. When you bite into it it was just a great crunch with a soft center. The meatballs just melt in your mouth. With the Unilocal check-in I was happily surprised we received a free cannoli with the purchase of an entrée. Clean place, super nice, political owners(both Jeff and Isabella. Amazing food! Definitely come check it out. Great home cooking!

The host is very friendly and attentive, and maybe at times a little too much over the top. The meatballs definitely are very good. I ordered the trio which comes with 3 meatballs, a salad and a side. Ended up paying about $ 15 – 16 but I wasn’t full, so it is definitely on the pricey side. Overall, I’m on the fence about making this a place that I would come regularly.

This was not only a GREAT meal but an experience. Passion and attention to detail is not only shown through their food but permeates the energy in ANY corner of the room. The customer service is second-to-none(thus far) and the star of the show(the meatballs) were outstanding! In addition, t’was an absolute DeeLight to witness the lovely communication between the owners(husband & wife) as she offered him a cup of coffee as he wiped down a table near by. So cute! I watched the Mrs. even hug and kiss a few patrons as she thanked them for their business. I mean seriously?!? You just don’t see that. Like ever… Now, let’s talk about food! I had the trio, because of course! who wouldn’t want to try a few! The trio consisted of: Chicken Marsala(great,) the Vegetarian w/Pesto(eyes-rollin’ 2-da-back-of-ya-head GOOD,) and the Buffalo Chicken n’ blue cheese(awesome!!) Each meatball was flavorful, soft, and cooked to perfection! Also, those who prefer a gluten free lifestyle will be SOOOOOOO excited here! There are so many things to choose from sans gluten. Now, did I wish I got more than 3 balls for 8.95? Of course! Will that stop me from n’joying these pillow-ey balls of goodness ever again, NO-Flippin’ way! Seems like I’ll just come back for their Monday Madness where they sell-um for a DOLLAR!!! So if your lookin’ to bring the fam and save a few, bring them all then! Lol No to wrap this up and for you to get a feel of what we experienced ding here, Mr. King Meatball was sitting & n’joying a little meatball snack while his DOLL of a wife rang us up. He noticed me eying his plate and offered me a piece.(who does that! I just love them!!) With that said, THEGRASSFEDLAMBBALLISOFFTHEMETER!!! he actually had it with buffalo sauce. Do your tastebuds a favor and try this place out! These are the kinds of people you just want to see succeed. So genuine, So Passionate & Obviously Grateful for what they’ve built. Great job guys! I hope to have the same feeling at your place ten years from now!

After seeing some great reviews of The Meatball Stoppe we finally got the opportunity to stop in and taste for ourselves. To say we were not disappointed would be putting it mildly. Everything we had was incredible! Wonderfully made food with a lot of heart and love. The food at this restaurant speaks for itself but I didn’t mind hearing all the details from the lovely owner Isabella as well, she has such a passion for her food. We started with the Baked Mozzerella served with a side of crostini’s, the depth of flavor in that dish was incredible, gooey cheese mixed with Marinara and the crostini’s were perfectly crunchy but not stale hard. For the main course my daughter played it safe on our first visit with the traditional meatball with the roasted tomato sauce over penne and while she really liked hers she fell in love with my wife’s Chicken Marsala meatball with Marsala sauce over polenta. Hers was amazing and I couldn’t decide if that was my favorite or if my Sausage Peppers and Onions meatball served in its own white wine sauce over White Bean Ragu won out. The side salad it’s served with isn’t your standard afterthought plate filler like most, the dressing was superb and the mix of greens and veggies was perfect. Our dessert was a delicious ending to a wonderful meal. In the end I think all the dishes were winners and I look forward to going back to try more options and of course for another hug :) Do yourself a favor and search this one out, it won’t disappoint!

We were the first customers to arrive for lunch that day, and I’ll admit that I was a bit worried when I looked around and saw that the place was empty, but when the owner came out and greeted us so warmly, my doubts began to subside. He literally went over almost every single item on the menu, giving exceptional attention to detail to ingredients used. It was very clear at that moment that this charming gentleman was obviously a foodie so I knew then and there that the food would be good and I was not mistaken. I went with the lunch special of two meatballs(One Mediterranean, one signature), I chose the house salad which was really delicious! I mean, simple food, and yet so much flavor! I didn’t care that it was brought over in a Chinet plate, or that the silverware was plastic, or that you can only get bottled water, this was damn delicious! And that little rosemary bread on the side… I’m drooling right now just thinking about it, so good! The place itself is not very big, but it’s cute, perfect for a little lunch date as it has a cozy feel to it. If you check in you get a free canoli, and they also have $ 1 meatball Monday… So guess where I’ll be going on Monday; you guessed it.

My friend and I decided to try this place out on Trio Thursday. I ended up getting the Spicy Pork, Nonna’s Traditional, and Chicken Parmigiana which came with a salad and focaccia bread. They were all really delicious but I believe the traditional was the best. We were served by Isabella who took her time telling us about the menu and giving her opinion on what to get. She was very nice and helpful for us very indecisive people. However, they do not serve tap water because their pipes are old. So, if you are a person that likes to save money on not buying a drink when they go out to eat, I suggest you bring something with you. Also, despite having really good food, I was still a little hungry after having my meal. The portion seems just a little small since it is only three meatballs and your sides. I definitely was tempted to get more but I didn’t think it was worth the price. In any case, they had really yummy food and great hospitality. I would definitely go back again to try their other items, probably on Monday Madness when their meatballs are only $ 1.

This restaurant is cozy(they can probably accommodate 15 – 20 people total in-house). All of the food is made fresh daily and I’ve yet to try anything that isn’t absolutely delicious. As an added bonus, the owner is highly personable with a lot of traditional Italian charm. I strongly recommend this place if you are ever in the area. Naturally the meatballs are the star of the show, but they also have plenty of vegetarian and gluten free options, too. The desserts are all fresh and appear to be made in-house. You can get take out, too, and get«buckets of balls» to feed hungry crowds.

I have been wanting to bring my wife here for lunch for a while and today she finally got to find out for herself how delicious the meatballs here are. I have been here several times and have tasted every meatball being offered. I ordered the same thing for both of us which was Nonna’s Traditional Italian, Jeffy’s Sausage and the Spicy Pork. It comes with bread and a salad and we elected to have some bottled water to wash everything down. If you have read my previous reviews you already know I love their food. Well I am happy to say that everything is still on point and my wife LOVED the food as much as I do. She had the pleasure of meeting Isabella and Jeff, the owners, and now knows why I love them as much as the food they make. Stop by and find out for yourself just how good their food is and if Isabella is there, ask her to tell you about the family wall. It is a delightful story about her family and her face lights up when she tells it. A Florida Foodie

Stopped in for lunch, it’s a cute little place with about 10 tables inside. It’s all about the meatball here. They had a good selection of them too. When we walked in the owner explained the menu to us. You get a salad, bread, choice of meatballs and choice of side. All for a good price too. So I picked the spicy pork meatball over penne with a spicy sauce. Everything was very good, the meatballs was good size and you got 3 of them. My sis got a trio of meatballs and all I can remember was the lamb and it was nice. Will go back to try the other meatballs. If you check in with Unilocal you get a free cannoli.

I stopped by today for a takeout meatball smash and it as fabulous. Even after a couple of stops traveling home it was fresh and warm and amazing. Nonna’s traditional meatballs and roasted tomato sauce remind me of my Italian aunts’ wonderful dinners. And the ciabatta is yummy! Isabella makes it special every time I drop by. You will not be disappointed.

Went on Monday madness $ 1.00 meatballs. Ordered 2 vegetarian, 2 Mediterranean, 2 Mac and cheese and 2 traditional. All exceptional: my favorite were a close tie between vegetarian and traditional. Also the pesto sauce is amazing. Small family owned restaurant. Isabella and Stephan were very hospitable despite being a Broncos vs a Patriots fan. They are also pro law enforcement and EMS. Highly recommend visiting.

My wife and I tried out«The Meatball Shoppe» as it has been on our list for a while and had not gotten around to trying it. We waked in at about 11:30am and we seemed to be the first patrons of the day. The restaurant was having some renovations so there was some construction walls up which took away from the atmosphere a bit. What was also a little off was the eerie silence. As I said, we were the only ones there aside from the very friendly owner. There was no music or anything. It was like dining in a library. Later into our meal, another table of patrons came in which added a little more to the feeling. The owner walked us through the menu, which was good because it is a little confusing. He offered beverages and they were served in bottles and cans. We placed our order and it came out really quick. Almost too quick. I wondered to myself if the different types of meatballs are just sitting in a steam table in the back or are microwaved to order. Regardless, they were very tasty and very hot. The sauce choice suggestions made by the owner were very good. The other thing that was strange to me was that everything was served on disposable pates, and not even high-end disposable plates. The presentation felt very«fast-food» as did the time it took to get our food but the price and service was not. It was a little odd. Desserts were good, but not very memorable. Would I go back? I think so. The food was good. My wife and I did say«yum» on a few occasions.

Staff was nice. Food was served quickly. The location is odd. Décor is very DIY. Food was tasty but cheapened by being served in what looked like take out containers. I’d try again for a quick lunch. Nothing to write home about.

Delicious! If you’re looking for an excellent mom and pop shop with some homemade meals, this is the spot. The owner and staff are extremely friendly and are very happy to explain the menu and the pairings. The spicy pork meatball with spicy pasta sauce was flavorful and fulfilling. There’s much more on this small menu I definitely want to try.

Oh this place was heavenly for omnivores and vegetarians alike. They had a surprisingly large number of options and everything that we tasted was a sheer delight. The smashed meatball sammich was especially tasty. Everything tasted fresh and the service was excellent. It is a very casual and relaxed little spot, with the server being very welcoming. There is not much seating, which may be problematic during busier times. Fortunately, we did not have a problem snagging a table when we went. We will definitely return… likely over and over again…

As soon as I came home from work I told my husband that I wanted Italian food, and wished I had an Italian mom to cook dinner for me, since I was too exhausted to do it myself. I got the next best thing when I stumbled upon this cozy little eatery. My husband ordered a Trio Tuesday, with the Knight(blue cheese and buffalo chicken) meatball, the Mediterranean(lamb and feta) meatball and the Chicken Marsala meatball, served on top of an arugula salad with a side of focaccia bread. I ordered the Nonna’s Traditional Italian, with creamy provolone on top of Penne Pasta Aglia Olio(garlic olive oil sauce with some crushed red peppers). Everything was delicious, fresh, and like homemade! The traditional meatballs were my favorite, but I also really liked the Mediterranean(and I’m not much of a lamb person). My husband liked the Knight, which basically tasted like phenomenal chicken wings, and the traditional. The service was also great! Even though we got there near closing time, we didn’t feel rushed at all and the server was very attentive. We will definitely be back! Oh and they also serve halal!

This review is a toughie, I had a very mixed experience here and if I could give them 3.5 stars I would. I was surprised how small the shop is, there are only 4 – 5 tables cramped together and then there is a wall with a large cut out where you can see straight back to the kitchen. I was a little concerned when we were a party of two seated right after a party of 6 with no one else in the shoppe and I heard the owner get on his phone and say«you better hurry up and get in here, we have a rush going on.» We ended up waiting about 20 – 30 minutes for our food, which wouldn’t be so bad if they made some improvements in the dining area like playing music and most importantly, fixing the front door. It has no pneumatic door closer so it SLAMS every time you go through it and the owner must have walked in and out about 5 times. In a small space this gets very disruptive. Being such a small operation the owner was the one to seat us, explain the menu, bring our food out, the check and clear the table(since they only use plastic it’s not to big a deal). He was very friendly and you can tell passionate about his food. For drinks they have coke products and only offer bottled water. They list«Orlando Craft Beer» on the menu but don’t actually offer any at this time; they told us they were still working on their license. The menu has SOMANYCHOICES! The basic process is you chose if you want your meatballs to be served on a side or in a «smashed» sandwich(like a more traditional sub) then you choose your meatball(they even have vegetarian and gluten free options), then chose your sauce and the side you want it served on. I went with Nonna’s traditional meatballs with red sauce on creamy polenta and I thought it was all pretty good. You get 3 meatballs which are a good size and it also comes with a small salad and piece of foccacia bread. For $ 8.95 it’s a pretty good deal, but I wish the drink came with it too. Everything is homemade fresh, in house daily. My boyfriend ordered the sausage meatballs with pepper and onion which were good but a little overdone, on top of penne and creamy provolone sauce. They forgot to put the sauce on the dish but it actually didn’t need it, although it was very strongly peppered and had some burnt bits. I like that they have weekday specials where you can get $ 1 meatballs which would be great so I could try all the other ones that sound yummy(chicken parmigiana and Mediterranean lamb? YESPLEASE!). They also offer an entire«bucket of balls.» Yep, that’s right, I laughed like a little kid too– where you can get a whole bunch of different flavors and would be great for a large group.

They have Trio Tuesdays, which is 3 meatballs with small house salad and focaccia bread. We thought this would be a great way to try a bunch of different meatballs. We came for lunch and were greeted by Jeff & Isabella. Isabella spent so much time explaining everything on the menu. Sweet lady. So, we ordered the following meatballs: Nonna’s Traditional with roasted tomato sauce Spicy Pork with spicy pork sauce Mac&Cheese with creamy provolone sauce Jeffy’s Sausage with creamy provolone sauce Chicken Marsala with mushroom marsala sauce Mediterranean with tzatziki sauce They were all delicious. We had a mini cannoli to end our meal. If you like to support local restaurants rather than the big corporations, this is a great place. Definitely check it out!

Overall a good experience, so we are likely to return. The chicken marsala meatballs were creamy and delicious, and the polenta we ordered as the side was great as well. This was a filling meal. In fact, my wife couldn’t finish it so I gladly helped. I had ordered the«smash», spicy pork meatballs with an optional egg on top, on a ciabatta roll. This one was just packed with flavor, really excellent! The only thing I don’t care for when ordering the sandwich is that you don’t get a side; the sandwich bread is considered your side I guess. It was lucky that my wife couldn’t finish hers, because I was left wanting a little more after eating the sandwich. Had I known this at the time I would probably have ordered an extra side. Then again, that puts the price point for a single meal a bit higher than I’d want it to be. So from now on I’ll probably stick to the regular meals and avoid the Smash. The owners are friendly and seem to be big on customer interaction, so if you’re a big fan of people paying attention to you, you’ll feel right at home here. There’s currently a check-in deal for a free cannoli with meal purchase, but when I’m trying to get a solid feel for a place, I don’t like alerting them to the fact that I’m on Unilocal. On subsequent visits I’ll redeem the offers, but before I write a review I don’t want a business treating me like they know they’re about to be reviewed. To their credit, I don’t feel like there would have been much of a difference. I was treated like a VIP from the moment I walked in.

I really enojyed this place. I ordered the spicy pork meatballs with sides of roasted tomato and pesto sauces. The pesto sauce goes really well with the focaccia bread. The meatballs have quite a kick, and are not for the faint-hearted. The polenta has good flavor too. The side salad was great, though I’ll probably hold the onions next time. I got a free cannoli by checking in. It was decent. I’m not knowledgeable about cannoli, so I’m probably a bad judge. If you like cannoli, you’ll probably like it just fine. **PROTIP** If you have issues with dairy, go with the spicy pork meatballs. The Mediterranean meatballs have yogurt in them, and the other meatballs have Romano cheese in the mix.

Comfort food overload! Came here with some friends for dinner, and we left full and happy. Located at the end of a strip mall on Lake Underhill, if you blink, you will miss it. So keep an eye out for the sign on the side of the building! Walking in, I thought we were going to have to order at the counter, but we were warmly greeted and told to take a seat wherever. Along the right hand wall is a bunch of family photos. I love those kind of homey touches. We sat down and our server explained the menu and pointed out the daily specials. For a very reasonable price, you get three meatballs with your choice of sauce and side, a side salad, and a piece of foccacia bread. I went with the Wednesday special– Jeffy’s meatballs(pork) topped with ricotta cheese and tomato sauce served over polenta. It was comforting and so filling. I took a nibble of my friends vegetarian and traditional and neither were disappointments. They also offer a gluten free option, and from what I overheard at the table near ours, the diner was very satisfied with her meal. It will be hard to decide what to order next time, since I really enjoyed this dish. But everything on the menu looks so good I will have to force myself to try something else. Life is so rough!

Humble little meatball shop with great flavor! This place is in a strip mall and it’s small with only about 5 tables. Small space, but big on great food. Tried the platter of three meat balls for dinner last night and it was really nice. It’s works like this… select your meatballs, select your sauce, select what you want the meatballs served over, then you get a little salad and bread too. I selected Nonna’s traditional Italian meatballs, topped with savory mushroom masala and served over penne pasta. Love that the sauce was full of mushrooms. This also comes with a small«Shoppe» salad and a small square of focaccia bread. It all fits together nicely in a little plastic tray(what they use for plates). My friends tried the vegetarian meatballs and Jeffy’s sausage meatballs. The sausage was very flavorful. I have to say I was shocked to find out the vegetarian meatballs were so good! As an avid meat lover, I was blown away by the veggie flavor and I would probably get the vegetarian balls next time. Also they are gluten free, so you can get a complete gluten free meal here if you opt for salad or their polenta as a side and skip the pasta. Would love to comeback and try the all the meatballs. We did a Unilocal check in and found out for now that you can get a free mini cannoli with a meal purchase. That was a nice ending and a great dessert. The cannoli shell was so fresh and crispy. Love this little place and will try it again. Hope they can gain more popularity and move to a bigger space sometime in the future.

Stopped by here a few weeks ago for the first time based on the Unilocal reviews. I totally understand why most people are giving 5 stars; such a sweet couple that owns the spot, very communicative with you and asking for feedback and sharing their story with everyone. Love their passion! However, I do believe there are a few things that need work for me to give it the 5th star. Let’s start with the things I Loved: The meatballs were great. I went with the Jeffy’s Sausage with creamy provolone. Everything came out SUPER hot so we had to wait a while to indulge. The meatballs were flavorful and cooked perfectly. The Tuscan Farro Salad was huge and delicious. So fresh! Next time I may go with this and throw a meatball on it. Would make for a delicious, filling lunch. Few things that can improve: — No tap water — bottled water only — Can/Bottled beverages only — No ice — Plastic serving plates — The bread for the meatball smash is huge — I had to remove the top and just with one slice — No background music in the front — such a small, quiet spot that it’s awkward to have a conversation because everyone in there could hear everything since there was no sound drowning it out — Ordered a side salad and wasn’t informed my sandwich came with one automatically, would have been nice to know and or an option to upgrade to a different side salad. I was left with 2 salads as a side. They constantly add things to the menu so I can’t wait to return to try their new pizza or new flavors of meatballs.

The Meatball Shoppe is one of my new favorite spots for a quick bite to eat. Be warned, the shop is super tiny, and located in a somewhat questionable strip mall with limited parking. But it’s worth it, trust me. It is much easier to order take-out since seating inside is pretty limited, but there are a few tables if you want to stay. The owners will treat you like family, and both visits there were just as many family and friends in the restaurant as there were customers. There are several different meatball and side dish combinations available. They offer a sampler on Tuesdays(I wish it was every day). Although I’m not a vegetarian their vegetarian meatball is by far my favorite. I have ordered it served with pesto and polenta, and that dish is pretty much perfection. I don’t think I need to try anything else. This is a particularly good lunch spot for this area. The portions are a good size and the take-out containers are really handy.

Wow! This place is wonderful! Not only do they have great food but the staff is awesome. Obviously the name pretty much tells you what they serve. But let me tell you these aren’t just your regular meatballs. These are homemade balls of yumminess… lol! They offer a traditional ball, Mediterranean which is grass fed lamb, chicken Marsala, Sausage, Spicy Pork, Rueben Ball and Vegetarian/Gluten Free. Please note that as of yesterday the sausage ball is now gluten free and I must say it’s very tasty. I was told that their chicken and lamb come from the Halal Meat store which is right next door. Once you choose your style of meatball then you choose what you want to go with it. You can choose to have them«On Top» which means on top of one of their tasty sides like pasta or creamy polenta. If you’re looking for a lighter option then you can choose to just have them on a bed of arugula. Or if you’re wanting a sandwich then choose a Meatball Smash which is their version of a meatball sandwich. Once you’ve chosen your side then you choose your sauce of either pesto, roasted tomato, creamy provolone, Marsha mushroom and spicy pork sauce. They have specials Monday thru Thursday and since it was Monday I took advantage of the $ 1 Meatballs Monday Madness. You get a minimum of 4 meatballs of the same flavor on a bed of lettuce with a piece of focaccia bread with a drink purchase. I chose the Chicken Marsala balls. Oh my were they good!!! They were cooked perfect. Every bite was moist and flavorful. Oh and the Marsala sauce was perfect. Just what I imagined for a good Marsala. It was a nice brown sauce with ample pieces of mushrooms. I used my focaccia to soak up the remaining juices. Couldn’t let it go to waste… lol While I was there, the owner gave me a sample of a new quinoa, pear, cucumber, black bean, cilantro and lime salad. I can honestly say it was one of the best quinoa salads I’ve had in a long time. He said that they are trying to add more vegetarian options to the menu as well as gluten free options. I must say that they are doing an awesome job so far. You can’t leave without getting dessert. They offer homemade mini cannoli’s and Gelato from Muse Gelato. I opted for the Cappuccino gelato. It was very good. My total bill came up to $ 11 which isn’t bad for a decent lunch. It would have been less if I would have ignored my sweet tooth. I’m looking forward to my next visit where I plan to try the Mediterranean and some of the different sides. You can call in your order if you’re in a hurry or you can sit in and eat. The place isn’t huge but you should be able to find a table.
