Very cool place! Nice retro atmosphere and good service. The ice cream was good as were the shakes. I had the coffee milkshake. I would have to get more ice cream for a better review. I will be back.

This a cute little local ice cream shop and the prices are very reasonable. I had the chocolate peanut butter brownie(tasty). Got a small serving which was only $ 3 for healthy serving size. I’d definitely recommend this place.

Great ice cream, unique flavors(two I have tried are strawberry basil and salted caramel), alongside the traditional classics. They have great sundaes, also(like a peanut butter, banana and bacon!), and, of course, sodas and floats. The theme is 1950’s and they have cute little gifts and knock knacks to look at. Definitely some of the best ice cream in town.

Cute little place to get ice cream. Not much seating so I recommend grabbing ice cream to go. There are many stores on this street so it’s not a big deal. They have tea from Infusion tea, which is a plus!

Best ice cream in college park. Local ice cream. Independently owned. Kid friendly. Really cool décor.

Interesting ice cream flavors. The venue is really quaint… it looks like an old time-y ice cream parlor with cute décor. If you’re feeling artsy or creative, you can even pick up a piece of chalk and contribute to the wall graffiti/chalk board. It’s a good place to come and hang out with friends. They have an interesting array of ice cream options(nothing too crazy though) and you can taste test as many as you’d like before having to commit to a flavor. I ended up getting a single scoop of the Nutella ice cream in a waffle cone. They really don’t skimp out on their scoops here. A single scoop is like a generous double. The ice cream itself was a little on the icier side and left a weird layer of fat in my mouth(as if the cream had separated from the fat). The first couple of bites were good, but I found myself not wanting to finish the rest. The cone was also a little soggy and had a bitter taste aftertaste. It’s a cute little joint and worth checking out at least once to say you’ve been, but I probably won’t be back.

Interested in more than your usual ice cream? This is the spot to go to! My all time favorite is mint chocolate chip and it sure was not a disappointment!

I have always wanted to try The Soda Fountain. I went with a friend and we decided to split a brownie sundae. It was delicious. It was on a cheesecake brownie. They cover a plate with hot fudge and then put the brownie and ice cream on it. It was very large. It was more than enough for the 2 of us to share. A younger girl was working there and she was very very nice and helpful. Even if she is a rebel who once snuck out to see Rocky Horror Picture show.

Great ice cream spot! So cute. We get the caramel sea salt with the wild berry sorbet. Great combo. That sea salt is to die for. I tried buying the whole thing of it once. Really cool sundaes and different varieties of floats. Even sorbet floats! Great to drop by with a date or your kids. I would recommend only getting a small cup. The large is a little much!

This place is awesoooooome!!! Hubby and I came in on one of our date nights, I have been whining about ice cream parlous for years now, and how hard is it to find a good, old fashioned place that makes specialty sundaes. Well, we just needed to move 3000 miles to FL and live in a city with more than 500 people to find just what I’m looking for. I ordered a brownie sundae(oh yeah!!!) and my husband just had to try the Elvis. I’m not sure why, but he seemed intrigued by the idea of candied bacon in his ice cream. I’m going to be honest with everyone… I am a firm believer that bacon does not belong in desserts. I mean that. Sweet goes to bacon, bacon does not go to sweet. My husband’s final thought on it were that the bacon wasn’t ruining the sundae, but it wasn’t something he would ever order again. See… what did I say? You should always listen to Teri, I do know what I’m talking about. He did, however, love the Nutella ice cream. Now to me. I loved my brownie sundae. The nice gentlemen behind the counter asked me if I wanted a middle or an end piece. Seems everyone on this planet has some crazy desire to eat the end pieces of brownies. Not me. The middle is moist and gooey and no dried edges. Keep eating the edges America… leave me alone with the good part of the brownie. I was offered my choice of ice cream flavors and nuts(chocolate ice cream and almonds, thank you). The end product was a masterpiece of hot fudge and ice cream over a warm brownie. Perfection. I highly recommend this cute little place. They even have gifts… so if your cat is in need of one of those inflatable unicorn horns that George Takaei was talking about a while back, this is where you can come to get it(and avoid paying shipping). Enjoy!

My nephew brought me here with the family and I LOVED it. It’s nice to have a little bit of small town nostalgia and come to a little ice cream shoppe like this! Aside from the delicious homemade ice cream and various creations they offer, there are also curious little knick knacks for sale. Now the ice cream… I had a Nutella ice cream sundae(the Elvis I think?) Sadly there was no more candied bacon to put on it… but the server got creative and added banana to it. And it was delicious! I do believe I will come back again… and hope there’s candied bacon… :)

The prices are typical for this type of shop but when you consider you could get a half gallon for the same price as one to two scoops, it is hard to justify the cost. Flavors are fun like strawberry cheesecake or Nutella.

Our soda jerk had amazing service! He was working alone when we walked in Mothers Day at 7:50pm and the line was almost out the door. He moved efficiently and sweetly with a smile. Too bad he was still alone with a long line at 8:30 when we left. :( We used the Unilocal deal to get a warm brownie sundae and thin mint milkshake, both delicious. I’m not a huge mint fan when it comes to dessert, but even I enjoyed several sips of the milkshake since it also had Oreo in it. They have birthday party packages which I want to do for my 32nd for sure! Shop is full of personality and charm and a lovely location with friendly patrons too.

Nice treat to the end of a long weekend. A friend recommended this place. I’m glad I listened. I had the Sinatra. It’s cream soda with vanilla ice cream. It was so yummy. My son had two scoops he loved it. The price was good and the service was great. I think we tasted almost every flavor they had. We will be back!

I am a fan! I have driven by this place many times but never had the chance to stop by and try their ice creams. In all honesty, you will not be disappointed. The moment you walk in you are greeted by the staff and they are very friendly(which is a plus in my opinion) The shop itself is very cute, not only do they sell ice cream they also have a choice of gift items like candles, dishes etc. They have a variety of flavors. I got to try the sea salt caramel and it is on my list to try next. I was in the mood for a milkshake so I got the thin mint milkshake. I have to say I was surprised how good it tasted. It reminded me of a York chocolate. If you ever have a sweet tooth and are an ice cream lover, you need to check out this place as I am sure you will fall in love with it. Also, Unilocal has a $ 5.00 coupon for $ 10.00 worth of ice cream. You can’t really beat that deal.

I’ve been looking forward to coming here since I moved here. The time finally came and I was not disappointed. The shakes are extremely rich but flavorful. I ordered the apple pie shake. It had big pieces of apple in it. What I liked most about the soda fountain is that they have cinnamon ice cream. Apple pie can’t get any better than with cinnamon ice cream.

What a fun little shop! I stopped in with some friends after dinner down the street. We were craving something sweet for dessert, and The Soda Fountain met our needs nicely. In addition to fun little knick-knacks for sale(I loved the Barack Obama and Bo Obama mugs), there is a counter where you can order up yummy treats including scoops of ice cream, shakes, and sundaes. The walls are covered in chalkboard paint, so feel free to get creative and write or draw about your delicious ice cream concoction! I kept it simple on this visit with a scoop of the Nutella ice cream. Yes, it is as good as you would imagine! My friends ordered the thin mint shake and a cone with a double chocolate scoop. The portions are quite generous here, considering they aren’t charging you an arm and a leg for ice cream like some of the big chains around town. I can’t wait to come back and try something else!

Delicious homemade ice cream, I feel like I stepped into time and traveled to the 50’s. I loved every moment of my time here. I ordered the chocolate which was creamy and flavorful without being overly rich and decadent. I was pleased to know the owner of the establishment also owns the Infusion Tea down the street, this explains the added charm and whimsy here. If you’re down for some good old fashioned ice cream, without all the non fat blah blah blah’s, come here take a load off and enjoy a treat with some family and friends. The atmosphere is delightful and fresh and new. My friends and I loved it so much, we «checked in» on Unilocal and redeemed a $ 10 voucher for $ 5 and used it towards their AMAZING banana split.

We are big BIG fans of Infusion Tea in the College Park neighborhood of Orlando. When we heard the owners were going to open an ice cream shop just up the road we were super excited. The Soda Fountain opened in October of 2013 and has been a popular hangout among the locals ever since. We visited twice over the course of a few weeks and we quickly discovered this isn’t your average ice cream shop. There is no frozen yogurt and no toppings bar. The menu consists of good old fashioned ice cream sundaes, milkshakes, egg creams and sorbet spritzers. Here you can get a simple root bear float or you can mix cream soda with coffee ice cream, which they call the Wake Up Call. You can try banana soda with pineapple sorbet(the Banana Colada.) I would never imagine some of the combinations they offer. I was torn between the Cherry Kick(black cherry soda with chocolate ice cream) or The Sinatra(cream soda with vanilla ice cream). I ordered the latter loved that it was refreshing and sweet. My other half Chad ordered the Thin Mint shake with mint chip and vanilla ice cream and Oreos. There is something so special about a mint chocolate milkshake, especially when a places uses real Oreos. On our next visit Chad decided on the Warm Brownie Sundae. It was enormous and he ate the whole thing and didn’t even offer to share! I went with the Chunky Monkey milkshake with chocolate ice cream, bananas and peanut butter. It was SUPERTHICK. I had to use a spoon to fish out the large chunks of bananas. Simply Heavenly and super filling. My next visit I will be trying the Caramel Egg Cream or maybe that Cherry Kick I passed up before. It’s a very eclectic and charming shop. There are plenty of unique gifts to browse over as the staff prepares your treat, including a collection of plates and coffee mugs, and these flavored marshmallows. Bourbon marshmallows in hot cocoa on a cold winters night? Yes please. We simply adore this shop and love its presence on the trendy Edgewater Drive in College Park. This will be a place we will drive out of our way for, easily. Five out of five sprouts.
