Best Whisky Bar in Orlando. Check that, best Bar in Orlando, or in Florida for that matter. Great drinks, great Happy Hour and amazing staff. A must goto if your thirsty downtown.

This is my favorite cocktail bar in Orlando. The environment is perfect and the bartenders are always friendly and will help you select the perfect drink. The drinks are about $ 12 but there’s a happy hour that will get you 25% off of your tab. Even when it’s not happy hour it’s totally worth it!

Our Bartender made the BEST old fashioned I’ve ever had in central FL. I also had this drink with gin. Very light/refreshing. This is a great place to get a great cocktail before hitting the rest of the clubs

Amazing bar in Orlando! One of the best kept secrets on Orange Ave. and lies in a small stairwell between Finnhenrys and The Lodge ;-) If you’re looking to order bud light and cheap beers, go somewhere else! This place is better than that! This is a place you’re gonna want to come to for a nice bourbon and spend top dollar! One hell of a bar atmosphere. The décor really sets this place above the rest! The bar tops look like the tops of tree trunks, stained to that perfect wood finish! These drinks will blow your mind! All drinks on the menu change month to month, so you’ll always try something new when you visit! Lots of great whiskey and bourbon selections! You’ll have to be patient! These drinks are made special just for you, and garnished with fresh fruits and juices. You may have to wait 5 mins or so, but you know you’re getting a well made concoction! Great music selection as well! Lots of great blues/rock music from artists like Stevie Ray Vaughn and BB King. Perfect for the drink atmosphere of this amazing bar! I believe that Wednesday nights are bacon nights! Come in for a bourbon and a side of bacon!

Friendly staff and great selections of great drinks. Nice ambiance. Got and Old fashioned and and espresso porter beer and enjoyed both very much. Staff was glad to answer questions we had and even let us try a few things before we ordered. Will return for sure!

Gotta love The Woods. In spite of being so close to Wall st, this bar is definitely more«grownup» in comparison. The liquor variety is outstanding, and the bartenders’ talents are on point. They have different specials throughout the week, and the cocktail menu changes every month. In all, a great space to meet friends, catch up, actually listen to each other, and enjoy some awesome liquor.

Great chill place! Big bar on the second floor. Great cocktails, great ambience, not the greatest place if you want to party, which is perfect if you don’t enjoy loud«party» environments.(thus the reason that I love it)

I came here for a work function and enjoyed my experience here. After going up a WOOD staircase, you can see the décor was as the bars name states. Woodsy, woody, whatever you wanna call it. The place was really dimly lit. Bartenders take their time with the speciality handcrafted drinks. If you are going with a large group(we went with 12) be prepared to wait because they really take their time with cutting the fruits or ingredients in your cocktail. Lots of beer options including GF. Would recommend to someone looking for a classy ambiance in what can be an extremely ratchet area in downtown Orlando!!!

This is my favorite downtown bar for both cocktails and beer. Their beer list isn’t enormous, but they always have craft beers on tap that you can’t get at every other bar downtown. They also feature craft cocktails and the staff there can give you suggestions if you aren’t feeling what’s on the menu but want something a little different. The interior is small, but cozy and cool. It definitely has a good vibe going on.

from all the reviews, I wasn’t expecting so large a space, but I’m glad they have it. It got quite busy while we were there, but the bar was well staffed. I will say I was super bummed with the selection of «fall cocktails» they were pushing. They were boasting their whiskey and gin selection, and maybe one? Two? Drinks had gin(aka my fave). The woman wasn’t keen to give me suggestions or answer questions either. My drink was fine, but I should’ve just ordered an old faithful G&T and saved myself from their specialties. I’d like to go back and give them another try, but I may wait for the next round of cocktail inventions.

This is a bar I don’t go to nearly enough. It’s got a great atmosphere and is a great way to start your night. I generally come here before going to a concert downtown, and recommend it to anyone as a nice«pre-game» spot or when you want a more upscale night. While I say«upscale», it’s definitely not pretentious. It’s been a while since I’ve gone on a Wednesday, but they used to have free bacon with every drink! I’m not sure if they still offer this, but if you find yourself out on a Wednesday, it’s worth checking out! As another reviewer said, stick to the basics. The only bad drinks I’ve had were when I ordered something creative from their menu. If you like old fashions or Moscow mules, stick with those and you won’t be disappointed!

The Woods is one of my favorite downtown spots. Located right above The Lodge, it’s more quiet than the other downtown bars, dark, and woodsy. The bar is the place to be, but there are tables scattered throughout the bar with servers walking around. The cocktails are unique and handcrafted. The staff meets regularly in which each staff member brings in their idea for a new drink. The staff votes and the best drink moves into the rotation. Expect to always find something new. The ingredients are high quality down to the olives and cherries in each drink. Drinks will run $ 10 – 12, but they are high quality, unique, and made with love. And to be able to enjoy them downtown while still sitting at a comfortable table where it’s not too loud to have conversation… That I can support!

Um, how have I never been here! Was walking by it, and decided to see what it was. Had no idea if it was a bar, club, etc etc. Walked up and was pleasantly surprised! Great place to grab a drink, sit and chat with friends. It wasn’t full of rowdy drunk people like most of the places downtown, which I really liked about it. This is the type of place where you come to enjoy a drink slowly… not slurp it down like at those $ 1 drink places. That being said, it’s on the pricier side but well worth it. I will definitely be coming here more often!!!

I really liked this place! The Woods, as its named, has a woodsy theme, go figure and it’s pretty charming while still very hip. They have great specials on Monday– 25% for entire bill and your second drink is free if you post to their social media page. The place wasn’t busy which I was surprised by. Being the woods, it was pretty darn dark inside there. A few lantern style lights here and there. The bar was well lit, but everywhere else was pretty dark. Great for making out– if you’re a PDA type of person. I ordered the Jim Dandy and I definitely recommend this if you’re into anything apple and then I gave the strawberry lemon cider which was so good. I only wish it was a little colder. The staff was great and very helpful. Definitely a place I would revisit.

This place is my favorite. Great bartenders, great atmosphere, great crafted drinks, just enough pretentious, and up a secret stairwell so not everyone knows about it. Prices run pretty typical for craft cocktails but they do happy hour 5 – 8 daily and special extended happy hour Mondays. This is always the first place I pick to go when heading downtown. Their menu changes the first Monday of the month which is a swell time to go try something new.

Good wood, good beers, a little crowded on Saturday night but nowhere near as crowded as everywhere else. I think the stairs deter them. Speaking of stairs I bet people fall down them all the time, they are long and after drinking upstairs I imagine your motor control is much poorer than when you started drinking, plus heels.

The Woods can sometimes get a bad rep for taking«too long» to make drinks that cost«too much» but any good craft cocktail lover knows it comes with the territory. Craft cocktails are usually pure booze concoctions so there are no cheap filler ingredients such as cola or dollar store sour mix. You’re paying for the good stuff. And you want a tasty, well made drink? It takes time, people. So get over it. Once you have accepted this reality you can begin to enjoy yourself. In addition to the ever changing cocktail menu, there is also wine and craft beer. The one thing they lack is food so don’t come looking for a bar bite. The vibe fits the name as most of the table top are made of sealed, sliced tree trunks. Add mood lighting, hip tunes, a good weekend crowd and you’re in for a good time.

I absolutely love this place. The craft cocktails are made very well! The drinks might seem pricey but they are on point with the quality. They have a good selection of classic and original cocktails to choose. Recommendations might be Moscow Mule, Old Fashion, Jackie Brown. They can make almost anything to your taste, just tell them what you like. Good space and great atmosphere to hangout with friends, located above the Lodge.

Wow, from one restaurant manager to a bar manager, what a shame. This is an establishment that does not stay up to date in their state IDs, so even if you are 21+, be prepared not to be allowed in. The management is negligent and inconsiderate of guests and does not care to stay in contact with their bouncers in case you request attention of the management staff. If you get in, you may have a fine experience with good friends, but it certainly is not credit to the disappointing management staff. My childhood best friend with a state ID issued in the state of Ohio had to find a police officer to validate her ID so that she could be allowed in. How could you not have a bouncer up to date on current IDs? Pathetic. This establishment clearly does not appreciate honest clientele and all those who are wrongfully and rudely turned away will certainly agree. You’d be better off going to The Lodge where management is lovely and considerate and the music is always fantastic!

This is the best cocktail place in Florida. Hands down in Orlando. Almost ever. I’ve been searching for a cocktail place that can handcraft a good drink like a place my husband and I loved back in another city. I found another bar, but despite their hours stating they were open, they were closed for some reason. I don’t know what was up with that, but fortunately 2 others were waiting outside with us, and told us(and brought us to) this place. And it’s awesome. It’s up a small staircase to this beautiful bar that’s perfectly done. Lots of wood. Lots of alcohol. Great staff. And this amazing, changes monthly menu. We popped in during a Mythical theme that had drinks like the Mermaid, el Chupacabra, and the Gnome. And they were all delicious. I preferred this place before 11pm. Because apparently I’m old(AKA I have been 40 since I was 16, and most of the people in the bar after 11 were probably my age) but also because it’s easier to really get a drink, ask the bartender about something, or request something special. It like blows up around 10 or 11 and the crowd changes drastically. It’s still much better than some loud club or something, but it’s packed. It’s a wonderful place to really sip on a cocktail. They have great ingredients and they are just really innovative with the variety of things they serve.
