Being fans of Restaurant Impossible, we were excited to try out Tornatore’s after recently moving to College Park. We stopped in today for a late lunch(3ish) and ordered slices and drinks, nothing fancy this trip. I moved to Orlando five years ago from New York and theses slices were awesome, definitely NY style! Exactly as desired and expected, decent size and fair pricing. Service was friendly and professional, décor was nice, several great items on the menu that I’ll be trying next time — lots of desserts to pick from! Small business owned and operated! We will return!

Because I like a thicker crust, but not too thick, I ordered an 18″ prepared in a 14″ pan. The crust was more substantial, but still could have been thicker. My real complaint is the paltry amount of spinach; the onions and mushrooms were applied slightly more amply. I hadn’t been here in awhile, and the quality has unfortunately suffered since my previous visit. Can’t recommend.

It’s ok, but this place *used to* be great. This place lost a lot of it’s awesome when the name changed. They dropped some of the best menu items(like Chicken Mama Mia), and the veal Parmesan I had today was the thinnest, grayest, saddest piece of over breaded nothing I’ve had in a long time. My pasta was overlooked, too. The pizza? It’s still excellent, but when you order by the slice, they scorch the crust in the oven when reheating it. This place used to be called Caffe’ Positano. Fortunately, Caffe’ Positano in Apopka is still around and nothing less than awesome.

I have been ordering delivery from here for about a year. Each time the food is consistent and delicious. The pizzas are good, but I always order the pastas. They say the pasta is hand made. It is true. You can taste it. They also said the ravioli is handmade. Guess what ! you can actually taste that it is handmade. They make the ravioli handmade fresh everyday and always rotate out fillings. You can also choose what sauce you want with it. The desserts are great. We always get the chocolate cake, and/or cannoli. Both phenomenal and fresh. The best part of this restaurant is they DELIVER. I have never been inside this establishment. I also call ahead and ask for delivery. Each time, they always deliver on time. This is very rare this day and age. The biggest plus in this restaurant is the consistency throughout from the food, to ordering, to delivery. This place is a well oiled machine. I would not expect such high quality from an establishment that delivers. Prices are fair for the quality of food that you get. There food is on the same level if not higher then high priced sit down italian food places. Try the ravioli.

We started eating here several years ago before the renovation and enjoyed the food. After RI, the food has certainly taken a huge step forward. The pizza is great but the fresh pastas are so good! The best fresh ravioli anywhere. We moved across town and still drive back regularly for the food.

I had to come here after seeing it on Diner Impossible and was not disappointed. Our server was so nice and happy to share info on the experience and how it affected the place. The Garlic knots where huge and for the price we couldn’t believe the value. The pizza was the best we had in years and again well worth the price. You can see them make the food in the front and they are happy to converse with those watching. Over all one of the most unique experiences we had going out. Will never forget coming here! Came all the way from TX to visit. I just want to know if they ever plan to ship their food nationwide? If so count on an order from Texas. Loved everything!!!

Thanks for the reply Denny… I thought I heard your voice in the background talking about headed back to your roots of making the pizza dough back in 1995… I wish I would’ve stuck my head around the corner and said Hello… you can be sure that we’ll be back when we get back down that way. Wish I could say it was gonna be next week but it’s probably gonna be a year or two.

Lovely service and food. I really liked the home made fettuccini al pesto and the bruschetta we ordered as starter was yummy!

A colleague and I ventured out and tried something new. I heard about the«remake» of Tornatore Pizzeria so we checked it out on our lunch break. The décor was nice and we sat upon walking in. It smells delicious in there! I ordered the Tortellini in a basil cream sauce and my friend ordered a Caesar salad. Fresh bread was brought and it was delicious. Our food was also VERY good(fresh house made pasta) but portion size was terrible. For $ 10.95 I got 8 tiny tortellini. It arrived in a huge bowl and looked more like a soup. Although it was really delicious the value was not there. Was worth more like $ 6.95. We will return but I will skip the pasta and maybe try a pizza next time.

Being a fan of Restaurant Impossible, I had to check out their work at Tornatore’s. The parking lot is a bit small and the restaurant was very busy with a lunch crowd. The décor is exceptional and you immediately get a feeling that this is a classy place. Lunch started with our server taking beverage orders and then bringing fresh rolls with olive oil for dipping. The bread was great but the olive oil was lacking flavor so we added oregano, salt, pepper, and chili flakes. We shared our feedback with the server and hopefully he shares it with the kitchen. After all, this initial impression should set the tone for the whole meal. Appetizer was the mussels served in a white wine sauce. I couldn’t resist… I had to pick up the bowl and drink the broth at the end. It was that good! The main course was a tough choice since all pasta is made fresh daily on site. There are plenty of choices in pasta and sub sandwich categories but in the end we chose the frutti di mare. The pasta is fantastic, sauce is amazing, seafood all cooked perfectly and delicious. The meal ended with cannoli and of course they make their own cream filling on site as well. Service throughout our meal was exceptional. If they keep up the quality food and service, this Restaurant Impossible will be a local hit. My next visit will be specifically for pizza since the ratings from fellow Unilocalers are encouraging. Looking forward to going back soon along with more friends.

Best pizza in the area. Beautiful restaurant — such lovely décor. Friendly staff. Was in town for a few days from NYC and it made me feel like I should just move to Orlando. So impressed.

As a New Yorker who is transitioning into a full-fledged Floridian I have to say that this is the best Pizza I have had in Orlando since moving here almost two years ago. I could write a long review about this place but the above should suffice. Trust me and the ratings, this place is a home run!
