Torrid is one of my favorite shops in any mall. They have some great fashion for the curvier figure. They even carry bras for the large busted.(Always a plus in my book) I popped in when I saw the store front in hopes that they had the Dr. Who line that I had seen on line. Sadly this store did not have any in stock at the moment. What I did find was that this was a smaller format store, so it was quite crowded, but well lit. Very bright, unlike my home store which has carry overs from the good olde goth days.

I love Torrid, perfect sizes for curvy and plus sized women. I love their jeggings, they are my favorite item in the store. I read some reviews in which they claimed poor customer service. I’m not sure how. Every time I go, I am greeted witb respect and have received much help. It’s my favorite store. Fitting rooms are good size. I just started wearing their bras and I must say they are perfect. Very beautiful and sizes are made to fit right. I know it’s a pricy store but they have great sales and when combined with clearance sales you can end up with an amazing purchase. I gave it 4 stars because I once ordered site to store and the person on the phone was very disgusting. I will never use that purchase method again.

Awesome! Yes the prices are a bit higher, but it is totally worth it unlike other stores. Here you get what you pay for, pieces that last and are trendy. Perfect for work, actually FIT! They understand real women sizes and fit about size 12 – 28. Customer service is always on point too, you feel like you get to know them and they give you honest fashion advice. Jordan is my favorite but all the girls are great!

I have been here a couple of times and have always found a great selection of fashionable clothes that look great and feel fantastic. Love the fact that they have lots of changing rooms available as this store can get busy. The associates are also very friendly and helpful and it’s always a pleasant shopping experience here. The prices can be a bit high, so I always shop when they are having their sale/coupon days. Also I really prefer to go in store because the online descriptions don’t really give you a feel for the material or how the garnet will look on your body, so always best to shop in store at Torrid.

I like Torrid despite their over priced clothes. I have learned to shop with sales and coupons. What I don’t like is the poor customer service that I continuously encounter in this store. I had an incident a few months ago where I came into the store to return a couple items I bought online and I was told by the asst mgr that from now on when I wanted to do a return that I needed to go to the Altamonte Mall location. Add on top of that my return was short. I called the corporate office and the district manager, Beth, was a dream to work with! She was very apologetic and checked in to make sure I got my money back. I went back to this store last weekend and yet again more poor customer service. No one greeted me, asked for my Diva style card, or offered to help me. This is why I continue to shop online. I wish someone would train these ladies in doing something besides standing behind the counter and complaining about their job.

I like this place, but basically if you’re paying $ 40-$ 70 for a pretty basic top, you should expect higher quality. I’d never purchase an item here that is at full retail value, just me, but I don’t have money to blow on clothes that won’t last past a few wears/washes. If you happen to be fortunate enough to go on a shopping spree, this place has a large selection of hip, fitting wear for plus sizes. There are so many things I see there that I think are just too cute. They have a nice Jean selection as well. I went there a few weeks ago to browse, but they had a pretty good clearance sale going on. 50%-70% off plus an additional half off of that. I managed to get several tops and a dress for about $ 7-$ 10 a peice, wasn’t that bad. One shirt started to unravel on the 3rd wash, and one(black and white top) the colors ran together when i washed it. No refunds either on clearance. I was bummed, I was able to sew to fix the unraveling shirt, the black and white top is now black and grey. For $ 7 – 10 bucks I wasn’t terribly heart broken, but if I paid the retail price of like 38.50 I’d be pretty P.O.‘d

Go here if you want to waste 20 minutes and have your money stolen… I ordered a bunch of clothes through the Torrid website recently and was so disappointed when I received them. The quality of the items has gotten even worse(if that was possible)! One dress I bought was $ 80 and I had to do a double take because it simply did not even resemble the picture of what the model wore online. It looked like the crap you would buy at a Rave store — disposable clothing — wear once or twice and throw it away. The shirts I bought were so thin they were see through — but the website made no mention of that fact. I went to the Florida Mall to return it all and walked in prepared with receipt and credit card in hand. As I said, I bought all of the items through the website and when I paid I opted to use my Paypal account. *Note: At no time during the check out process, on the emailed receipt, or on the shipping invoice does it say there is any special procedure/penalty for those paying via Paypal should they wish to return.* When I went to the store there were two employees behind the counter. Neither of them seemed to know what they were doing — the girl who helped me did not know how to process a return that used Paypal. She had to call another store to see how to process it. The other employee was trying to process a credit card application and based on all the beeping noises his register was making he was making a lot of mistakes. The girl who was helping me kept having to tell him what buttons to press next.(Sigh) At first the girl acted like she was not going to process my return at all, and accused me of purchasing it through third party websites who sell Torrid clothes. I pulled up my Paypal account on my phone in order to prove to her that it was indeed done through and show proof of which credit card I used. After finally getting the refund processed I realized that the total refund amount seemed short. Well, they shorted me $ 5 which is in addition to the $ 8 I ate for shipping and handling costs on clothing that simply did not remotely resemble what was shown online. I contacted the corporate office to get a refund and they said I would have to call the store back to get them to look it all up and process the refund. Considering it took 20 minutes to get the regular refund done there is no way that I am going to do through any more shenanigans with dumb and dumber over $ 5. Torrid, you lost a customer. I will never patronize your stores again. Your clothes are garbage, your employees have had no training, and your customer service is dismal.

I have been shopping at Torrid’s website and their TWO physical locations here in Orlando(Fashion Square Mall and Florida Mall) for the past 7 – 8 years. They have lots of variety as one reviewer noted, and cater to many different types of styles(goth, punk, and now hip hop and bohemian… and now work-wear). However, Their clothes are very expensive and are NOT good quality. If you shop here stick to the sales rack, because as soon as you wash a garment you will find a hole, rip, or fading due to the poor quality. For example, I bought a really cute summer top two weeks ago, and I followed the cleaning instructions on the label and when I took the shirt out of the drier I realized it had a huge hole along the seam in the front of the shirt :(I also had to throw away a dress that I bought last summer because it had laser cut lace on it which tore into shreds after only a few hours of wearing at a party :((I only got to wear this dress once! and the dress was 50 $ on clearance). Also, if you buy one of their screen print cotton t-shirts, buy a size larger or don’t put it in the drier becauseit WILL shrink… always happens :( I love this store… but hate their crappy quality :(Stick to finding staples like pants and dresses at bigger stores like Lane Bryant and igigi and shopping at Torrid for accessories and really hard to find items(when they’re on sale). Expect to find the following brands aside from Torrid brand items: Lip Service, Baby Phat, Ed Hardy, Hello Kitty/Sanrio clothing and accessories, Betsy Johnson(accessories, NOT plus sized clothes… so sad), apple bottoms

Like Hot Topic… with plus sizes! Torrid is a great place to shop for plus size ladies who like Hot Topic style. They have lots of licensed tees, punk outerwear, and they even sell plus sized costumes! Joy! The Good: Lots of variety!: This place has tops, bottoms leggings, dresses, shoes and even jumpers. The have casual wear, stuff to wear on a night out, and even stuff you could wear for work. I was really impressed with the amount of inventory here, and all the different kinds of clothes, and it is definitely worth checking out if you are a 16+ Reasonable prices: I know a prior review said they were a bit pricey, but compared to the other stuff in the mall, this place is actually kind of cheap. I mean I don’t mind paying $ 80 for a nice dress that fits me well. The Bad: n/a I really liked shopping at Torrid, and would definitely recommend it to all of my curvier friends! Especially because it is almost Halloween! Overall 7.8/10= Terrific Torrid!

Torrid caters to the punk, rock, hipster, rockabilly chicks with curves. And by curves, I mean you’re a size 16 and above. In the store(at Florida Mall) and on the website they’ve got stylish clothes for every occasion, from work to play, that will let you stay true to your style. No granny pants, that’s for sure! Here’s the rub… it’s pricey. Affordable, but pricey. Watch the web site and sign up for the email newsletters and you’ll get the clearance and sale alerts for the store.
