I worked for this company very briefly. And I can say that I don’t like the way the limo, and cab drivers treat the guest. I worked in a position that would have allowed me to help slowly change that. But I was met with so much resistance that I was to the point where I didn’t look forward to going to work.
If Mr Gaye was to spend more time listening to his employees and addressing customers issues instead of going to have his cigar at the club. Then Transtar might be a good place to work.
I worked in a safety role. I was hired due to my prior law enforcement background. My immediate supervisor (A.W.) was also a former police officer. And as time went on, He tried to run our section like his own little police department. And then have the gull to tell me that my reports were not done right, He accused me of not being able to think like a cop. I stopped, prayed that I wouldn’t hit him. then I went home and started to look for another job.
The person who was in charge of our section (C.P.) was trying to be fair and understanding. He liked the way that I and another co worker would treat our employees fairly and that any customers concerns were address right away. A.W. didn’t like that. And I think a lot of this was never revealed to Mr. Gaye. And if it had been brought to Mr. Gaye’s attention and Mr. Gaye blew it off, then that’s on him.
It can be an okay place to work if you have the right combination of people. And people who care about others.

if i write a 0 about this company I would. Very unreliable and always late or broken down. They implemented a new schedule on Aug 31 and now it is Sept 2. for the past three days it has been NOT following the schedule at all. It has been coming at random times, causing me to be late for work three times. I talked to guest relations and they did nothing, simply said there working on it and didn’t apologize. I tried to get a number to complain about and they just hung up on me.
Do not use this company. I am being forced to use it because this is what I was provided with. otherwise I would NEVER use transtar.

Awful experience, wasted half a day of my 3 day vacation because of how irresponsible they are. Booked the service 1 day ahead, waited over 1.5 hrs and they never showed up. Every time I called they said they were close by, 5 – 15 mins. Had to give up waiting for them. Do not use this service, unreliable and unprofessional.

Very poor, driver had no customer service skills, hey buddy you are in one of the biggest tourist towns in the US, get a personality. Equipment condition was poor. Air conditioning did not work. Hottest day of year, you need some ac. Took the shuttle from our hotel to a popular location, took a cab back. Informed the hotel so they could follow up, just wanted to let fellow « Unilocalers» know to avoid experience.

Horrible company. I had the worst experience. They don’t even deserve a star. I was given the wrong information about pick up times, the bus was late, driver yelled at me for being given the wrong information and was extremely rude. I tried to call the company to complain and the woman on the phone REFUSED to let me speak to a manager and kept saying the same thing over and over and arguing with me. NEVER USE THIS COMPANY!
