This piece was created by Ralfonso Gschwend and sponsored by Harvey & Carol Massey Family.
art nugget– Since 1999 Gschwend has specialized in the design and execution of large to monumental kinetic and light sculptures for public places.
UNION is a unique addition since it is the only kinetic wind driven sculpture in the collection. Interestingly enough, the sculpture is now synchronized with the City’s new lighting AND music program, and also provides an hourly light chime with light pulses.
