Uptown Eyecare

They’re the best optical in town. Elite brands and exceptional customer service. I won’t go anywhere else. They make you feel welcomed and not rushed. If I could give this place 6 stars I would.

All the staff members are very nice and cooperative. Easy to get an appointment. We have been here couple of times and everytime we got good treatment. I will surely recommend this for vision check.

Tana and staff have been taking care of me for years. Love ‘em…just can’t say more. They are courteous, professional and follow up.
I have visited their downtown location and hunter’s creek location. I believe their hunter creek facility is slightly nicer because it is a new building, but the same friendly service exists in both places.
They are great at rush orders too, and have helped me in a pinch with my contacts.

Love coming here! Dr leidigh is extremely knowledgeable and is able to prescribe the appropriate eyewear for your needs. I was really impressed with the amount of frames they have. I was able to get a great pair of Gucci glasses for work; the lady was willing to let me try on as many pairs as I wanted before finding the perfect fit. I will be back next year for my annual exam!

I came across Uptown Optical one day randomly because I wanted a place close to my house. I have been going there the past 4 years and what an experience! There’s something to be said to the experience of a privately owned business over a corporation. I hands down recommend them to everyone I know when looking for an eye doctor!

I visited Uptown Optical for the first time a couple of days ago and I was very pleased with my experience. Before my actual appointment I stopped in to see if they took my insurance. The receptionist was very friendly and so helpful. She was able to answer all of my questions and she set me up with an appointment very quickly. On my actual appointment day I arrived and only waited about 10 min for the optometrist to see me. Dr. Leidigh was very professional and nice. At the end of my appointment one of the other receptionists/​assistants helped me check out. She was also so friendly and helpful. Loved all the staff there!
The only thing that I noticed was they didn’t carry much of an upscale line of frames. I looked around for a bit while I was waiting but nothing stuck out to me. I ended up getting my old frame lenses replaced. Be warned, if you choose to do what I did, it will take approximately 2 weeks for your glasses to be ready.
Overall great experience and I’ll definitely return for my future check ups.

I would not recommend this Optical location to anyone. I was a new patient to the office, which is nice because its brand new but it means Nothing at all. Dr Leidigh is older and I think he’s lost his touch. Ive had to go back three times for my glasses and contacts and they still are not correct. I honestly don’t think he used the information from my eye exam. My new glasses were waaaaay to strong and the contacts were not strong enough. The staff are friendly but they all seem very unsure about glasses and contacts. For it to be such a small office they lack communication skill and professionalism. I also hate the fact that they don’t make the glasses in house they have send the glasses off which take about 2 weeks to get them back.

They should change there name to «Very Slow Provider» We arrived for our appointment on time, to find about 4 people in front of us. After waiting, about 20 mins, we noticed that others in front of us, were complaining about waiting over 1 hour past there scheduled appointment time. We asked, how long it might be, before we were seen and the staff could only answer «soon», after another 15 mins, one of the folks also waiting, decided to leave. As she left, she said that this was her 2^nd visit to this location and her wait time to see the DR was just as bad last time around. At this point in time, we also decided to leave as it seemed none of the staff could really care about anyone in the waiting room, but could care about txting on there phones all day. I’ve been to other Dr’s, one in Davenport who was excellent. We also have used Target Optical and had great service there as well. Uptown, I think needs to stop thinking they are the «Elite» glasses place in hunters creek and realize that poor customer service will result in loss of business.

I have been a patient of Dr. Leidigh my entire life and I highly recommend his office! My parents and grandparents have been too! There is no one else in Orlando trust my eyes with than him! Since he’s no longer with Eyedeal Vision, we have followed him to his own business called Uptown Optical! He has offices in Hunter’s Creek and Downtown Orlando which is convenient for me because I never know where I’m going to be in a given day. His wife Tana also works at both locations and is AWESOME. She can set you up you with the right pair of glasses to match your personal style and face shape. You’ll walk out looking and feeling FABULOUS!
