Window World

I used Window World to replace 12 windows in a 1920’s building I own in a downtown historic district. I had been referred to this company by a friend who had them replace the windows of her older home and had been very pleased with their work. My contact, Jason, came out to my location, measured all window spaces and provided me with a quote that was $ 2000 less than their main competitor FAS. Since the windows were oversized and oddly spaced I was eager to see how easily they would be installed. I selected double paned windows with screens and since they were being installed on the second floor of the building, I chose a tilt-​in design for easy cleaning. Installation took two days, there were no surprises and the installers were efficient and professional. I was also very pleased with the sound dampening effects of the windows, as the building was on a busy downtown street and was to serve as a residence. I opted to pass on the argon gas in my windows as I had heard it can cause cloudy glass over time. I didn’t feel any pressure from Jason when I opted out of this and other additional offerings. I’m a bit surprised at the poor reviews for this company as my experience was anything but bad. I would not hesitate to refer others to Window World.

I ordered windows and doors for my entire house a bill coming to almost $ 8000 I haven’t had them put in yet, ordered a month ago and they come in to install tomorrow… just got off the phone with some rude receptionist and I’m almost in tears, I feel so screwed! I’ve been called four separate times this last week to set up an install date and every time I say I already did they say they have no record of it… I have always asked for the same time 9 am yet it’s always taken which I’m pretty sure is by me lol every time they call I ask how long it could take zinc I have a newborn baby at home and three animals I was told have to be crated the whole time and all I get back is it could be a few hours or a few days they no clue… when I tell them my situation they say then I shouldn’t be ordering windows, what business says that?! I have called to speak to the manager three separate times and am told to leave my number and I’ll get a call back yet I never do!
My last phone call with them I said I honestly want to cancel and go somewhere else and the rude receptionists response was «sorry honey it’s too late we have you in a contract»…I barely could afford these in the first place but really need new windows and want the security for my family but I honestly feel like I am getting screwed so bad… I want to cry, do yourself a favor and just go somewhere else! Don’t even bother with the free estimate it’s not worth it…

Bad experience. My wife and I rent and our property manager and the owner of the house were kind enough to upgrade all the windows in the house. The contract was given to Window World for about $ 6000.00, partially because we had had an excellent experience with a Window World franchise where we lived previously.
One bathroom has two small windows, when we moved in one of the windows had both panes of frosted glass, the other had one pane clear and one pane frosted. when the estimator/​sales person wrote up the order he put it in for one window completely frosted and one window completely clear. In a bathroom, mind you. As we are just tenants we had no input regarding the order and did not find this out until the installation date.
When we mentioned the problem to the installers they said it would be taken care of. It was not taken care of and still has not been taken care of after three months. We experienced the same runaround as a couple of the previous reviewers. Phone call after phone call was not returned.
Bottom line: horrendous customer service by everyone at Window World. Beware!

I previously used window world to install 8 windows and 2 sliding glass doors in my home a few years ago, but I still have two half round windows and a glass block window that need to be installed. So, I was calling to use Window World to finish the remaining windows.
I originally called in December and had requested the sales rep who first sold me the windows, Harold. I didn’t receive a call back in December, but at the time had chalked that up to being busy around the holidays because lets face it, everyone is. Eventually, I called again about two weeks ago from Today and left a message for Harold. This time, I did receive a call back from him. He informed me he is very busy, and I would have to wait until the following Saturday for an appointment with him, I said I didn’t mind. We left off that conversation with him informing me he would call me the following week to schedule a Saturday morning price consult. By Wednesday I still had not heard anything so I called in and requested to speak with him — he was «in the warehouse» but the receptionist went and got him for me as I was irritated I had not heard from him. He told me he would come Saturday morning 1÷31÷2015 at 9:30am — I said that is fine, it doesn’t have to be that early if you have other clients just so long as it is before 1:00pm… his reply was I am not going to waste my day, I will be there at 9:30.
Saturday 9:30 Harold does not show. I wait until 10:48 before calling Window World to find out what happened. Nicole with weekend reception answered my call and said she would call Harold and try to find out what is going on, and that she would also call Mr. Tillman the owner. I ended up having to call back two hours later after not hearing anything. Again, I spoke with Nicole. She was very sweet, and seemed to be doing everything she could to help. She informed me she left another message for Mr. Tillman with the situation and my personal information so that he could return my call.
Today, 2÷2÷2015 at 1:50pm, I still had not heard anything from Mr. Tillman or Harold so I called yet again! This time, Harold was on the phone with another client and despite the receptionist leaving him a note indicating I was on the phone he decided not to take my call (not to sound incredibly rude that I am more important, but he could have told her to have me wait). When I initially called in this afternoon I informed the receptionist that this was my last attempt to resolve the matter before I moved on to another company and left my two cents about this experience. He still did not want to take the call and so here I am, and even still he has not attempted to call me as I am writing this. It is long winded so it has been at least 15 minutes. You would think a disgruntled former customer who was looking to do repeat business would be some what important, but I guess not.
I liked Window World the first time I used them. I originally chose them a few years ago based on good reviews on Angie’s List, and even though I had hesitations I decided to go back to them despite several recent reviews that warned of a sudden lack in professionalism. I can honestly say, this company is not worth your time. They are not super competitively priced (I know this from the first time I used them), and they are not overwhelmingly good enough at anything else to justify this kind of treatment towards customers in general, but especially repeat customers.
I am truly disappointed. Would not recommend to anyone.

I rent my home, and my landlord used Window World to have the windows replaced. They came while I was at work. When I returned, the windows were replaced but my house was a complete mess.
They didn’t replace any of the blinds. They left furniture shoved all over, including leaving my rug smashed out of shape. There was broken glass on my bed, and under several windows. There was dust and dirt everywhere. They broke one of my curtain rods (that I had removed prior to installation).
I contacted them immediately and left a message with a night receptionist for their office manager. I did not hear back after about 30 minutes, and called again. This time I left messages for three separate people. It is now the next morning and they have been open for an hour. I called again and was told to leave a message. As of now they have not resolved the issue.

I am very pleased with Window World Orlando. I paid about $ 400 a window. The installers were vey good. The only complaint is that they didn’t clean the glass very well but that took me a minute or two per window so no big deal.

The service here was just great! Very happy with the work that was completed.
I would recommend my friends and family.
