Cute neighborhood Christmas parade and festival that is fun for the family. Local companies, schools and groups provide floats and entertainment for the event. The parade varies in length from year to year depending on the number of participants but you can always expect Santa to be there at the end. Some standout floats as always are the from Full Sail and Valley Crest. They always do a good job. I really enjoyed the entertainment from the high school band and the local dance companies. I just wish they took some more time to stop and play/dance along the route. This year in a addition to the parade, there was snow to play in and an area to visit Santa and Mrs. Claus in person! Some tips: Get there early for parking and a good viewing spot for the parade if you have chairs you want to set up. You can usually always find parking in Baldwin Park but sometimes it is far away from the town center. BP is not one to provide high density parking. If you want to dine at any of the restaurants that evening I advise to plan in advance, especially if the place is on the parade route. A few places were completely booked that night to accommodate large parties. If you need a wine/beer and the places along New Broad Street seem packed, head around the corner to Jake Street and visit Uptown Wine Bar. We saw no wait for drinks there. Bring your Christmas spirit. It is a holly jolly time. I mostly recommend this event for a family with kids. The kids dug this event.
