As of late October 2014 the location has been sold and closed. It is currently under renovation and will soon reopen as a Golden Corral.

I’ve been there a number of times and always loved the food, the service and the location. Great selection for breakfast, lunch or dinner and the price was right. HOWEVER. I live across from this restaurant and noticed there were no longer lights on as early as they used to be. In addition, their website is no longer active. I called the restaurant and they confirmed that they are no longer serving breakfast and they will be closing soon. Looks like the date will be either October or November of 2014. It’s a shame since they were so close and so good. I just can’t understand since they were always full of people. Oh well… I guess they had issues which could not be resolved. I wish the best of luck to the management and employees in their future endeavors.

Good selection but very little was all that great. This is probably the perfect place if you have a big group and you’ve maxed our your budget at the nearby theme parks. Staff was nice and they had a nice salad bar along with their other, much less healthy selections.

Food was a lot better than Golden Corral. Our server was very friendly and always had refills. The food I found was fresh and plenty of it. Everything you can imagine. I do admit that the deserts at corral was a lot better. But it was cheaper at woodgrill with 10% voucher when you go to website you just show them your phone. The fries was so nice, and meatloaf was amazing. They even had cheese burgers! When I spoke to my server they are changing the wood grill into a Golden Corral ;(please keep it as a woodgrill!

Oh man. This place was NOTGOOD. I’ve never left a bad review before but unfortunately this place was a real disappointment. So we’re out of town and picked this place based on its good rating here on Unilocal. We wanted to do a buffet since we have two young children and wanted to try something other than Golden Corral… The Pros: *The place looked nice. *The server was attentive. *The desert was alright. The Cons: *All of the meat tasted overcooked and like it had been sitting out for too long.(which is weird since we were there on a Saturday evening) *There just weren’t a lot of choices. And what was there sucked. It was either bland, overcooked, or didn’t taste good. *All of the chicken was rubbery. *There wasn’t any Caesar dressing at the salad bar and there was bits of other food that had been dropped in the Italian dressing. The selection was small. I’m all for quality over quantity but when there’s not a lot to choose from then what you have needs to be quality. Unfortunately that wasn’t the case here. There was a Cici’s Pizza in the same strip and after leaving we joked that we would have rather eaten there for a lot less money. So yeah, a part of me feels bad about this review but I wish we had seen a review like this before we went.

My family of 17 came here on a Friday afternoon for lunch. The price… super affordable. The service… beyond friendly and accommodating. The food… fresh, home cooked taste, and choice choices choices. The location… conveniently located in the Disney area. As a New York girl, I love to eat real southern food every chance I get. By real I mean it tastes as if it was personally prepared for me. The food was just that. This buffet did not live up to the stereotype of small portions that have been sitting in the heating tray for hours. The restaurant was clean. It wasn’t crowded and we received a private party room. Our server Victor handled all requests with ease and always with a smile. The hostess made little jokes with us and then left us to enjoy our meal. I like the attention they gave our party. And lets not forget affordable.

We had the lunch buffet. The food was just ok. We thought that Golden Coral was better, granted that we have not been to GC in over a year. We visit Orlando almost every year sometimes twice a year. There is a lot of selection: I tried the buffalo wings, Italian wedding soup, fried rice, mushroom, mix veggies, some kind of chicken stir fry and fried chicken. The only thing I like was the fried chicken. There is a big selection of desserts and the only thing I like was the bread pudding, the cookies are not even worth the calories. Our server was nice and attentive. We got a 10% discount from a coupon I clipped from a magazine.

If you’re hungry for buffet, go here. Period. End of story. Let’s recap: 1) Great service with friendly servers. 2) Good food for a buffet. 3) Stir-fry station with plenty of choices. 4) Reminds you of Golden Corral in a way. I only have one complaint. The air conditioner was broken, therefore, it was warm inside. But that’s not their fault.

Go for dinner. Much better than Golden Corral. Options are great and the servers are friendly. Look for coupons around town. Locals get a discount card.

Went here out of desperation. Perhaps you know the kind, where everyone in the entire family has had it. Everyone was at wits end, and we just needed to sit down, cool off and try to eat. Happened upon this place because it looks new and clean and the reviews were decent. A step above a Golden Coral or Ponderosa, a step below a fine Vegas buffet like«M Resort.» Nearly $ 70 for a family of 4 at dinner time. We were quickly seated but our drink orders seemingly were lost in the shuffle. Started with fruit for the baby as an appetizer. Wasn’t the finest quality in fruit, but the baby certainly didn’t mind. Baby downed it all, even the dipped bananas – I was shocked. The chicken tenders and fries were fine, the burger looked worse than a middle school cafeteria, or airline burger. The salad left one in our group feeling uneasy afterwards, but the oldest in our group had no issues. The ice cream looked cheap, the desserts looked like they sat out all evening and really needed to be refrigerated more. If you’re into people watching, this place does not disappoint. I saw old people on a motorcoach, my hotel maintenance man, a deputy and his second family, a bunch of ex cons with some cool prison tats, lots of overweight people and a guy wearing chef pants smoking outside. The parking lot was full and the place was busy. Food, meh, experienced better, service did eventually chop chop after initially botching the drinks. For $ 70, I’d expect more than napkins you’d use at home, and them being stingy like a Chinese restaurant with napkins.

I am not quick to give a 5 star rating but for a all you can eat buffet, this deserves it. The salad bar is huge and well stocked. A vast variety of meats and vegetables to chose between. They have a Mongolian style grill that you can choose your own fresh ingredients, hand it over and have it cooked with rice or noodle all while choosing what spice and flavor. The staff is very attentive and on top of our needs and refills. You can also order wine by the glass or bottle along with a few beer choices too. Have been back several times and have never been disappointed.

We were in the middle of a 13 day vacation. I was tired of eating at nice and fancy restaurants. The Wood Grill Buffet sounded like a good buffet. It had good reviews on Unilocal. Some of the reviewers said that it was better than the Golden Corral! With coupon in hand, the family and I happily went to the Wood Grill Buffet. The buffet is the same as any other chain buffet, like Hometown Buffet or Golden Corral. The Golden Corral in California is a little better, but, that is not saying much. We arrived at about 7PM, and were seated immediately. They have the normal buffet items such as fried chicken, overcooked tough gristly steak, salad bar, fried fish, dessert bar, etc. They also had meatloaf, and a pot roast. I liked their fried chicken. The fried chicken was seasoned and cooked very nicely. The batter was very crunchy. Other than the fried chicken, nothing really stood out for me. You can ask for the chef a more rare tough gristly steak, but, it was still is tough and gristly. Thanks for letting my child eat free. No, it is not better than Golden Corral. If you want mediocre food, come here or go to the Golden Corral a couple miles from here. Oh wait, there is no coupon for the Golden Corral. Come here with a coupon and stuff yourself silly with mediocre food.

For anyone wanting a buffet with a huge variety of entrees, salads and desserts, this is the place. Since my last review, I have visited Wood Grill two more times, one with another large group for which we had a private room. They have chicken, fish, meatloaf, ribs, a taco bar, great salad bar, etc. etc. The employees are very courteous and the price is reasonable. Expect to visit again this week and another Disney gathering towards the end of the month!

Ok after reading these reviews I had really high hopes. Maybe it was a bad morning, but we were not impressed at all. Pros: a very large selection. We are talking typical breakfast fare, fresh fruit and with an omelette station. PLUS breakfast pizza, chicken tenders, fried chicken, fried chicken steak and a full salad bar! And full dessert bar! The fruit was decent. But it all sat in this juice, which was off putting. The omelette fillings were ample, but the final omelette was a bit dry and rubbery. I did really like the strawberry tart and I seconds. Cons: unfortunately nothing was good. The chicken tenders were really dry. The bacon was really dry and super salty. Even their boiled eggs were dried. Their individually fried eggs were like eating rubbery egg toys. The salad bar was a bit sad looking too. Everything was very blah and dry. We personally liked Sizzler’s more. Not as much selection, but everything was fresh and fresh food brought out many times during the time we are there. And it’s a dollar cheaper!

Food Safety ++As someone who works in retail and manages food safety often, it was refreshing to see the employees following safety regulation to the letter. If you typically avoid buffets due to the handling of food, I recommend this place. Quick in, quick out and food safe.

I was on vacation and decided to try this place out. I driven by it over the years while in town for Disney World/Universal Studios. I would say this place is almost like a Golden Coral with slightly better quality foods. Their hibachi grille was excellent and almost tastes better than most asian buffets. Food is very fresh espec. the salad/fruit bar. I was very impressed with their fruit bar. Its way more fresh and variety than Golden Coral’s. Their steak is decent. Ice cream is pretty good. Price is alittle higher than Golden Coral. I think the price should be alittle lower. They also would have more business if they closed later than 9pm on week nights. Since most of the customers are visitors that just got back from Disney/Sea World/Universal. I definitely will go back again!

This was my first time & it will be my last. I had a few problems with this place: I didn’t see anything that was«Wood Grilled,» waiter service was not good at all, some food items had way too much water in it as some food was old, dried out, flavorless, & the deserts were a pity. The atmosphere seemed to be clean, quiet, open spaced, well light, and somewhat easy to navigate around the buffet. I visited during dinner & I thought the dinner price was too expensive for food like this. The price was about $ 15/person without a beverage of $ 3. Some food items were miss labeled as well. I think this place was not worth it for dinner. I was expecting something more from reading some Unilocal reviews about this place. I was not pleased. This is my opinion. Please try yourself because maybe you will enjoy it better than I did. I won’t recommend this place to friends or family.

Lunch: As cheap-ass ubiquitous buffets go, it’s at the top of the heap. ‘Ohana or Fogo or Texas De Brazil or Crystal Palace this is not. The décor looks like the lounge of a bowling alley. The food is diverse but not ridiculously so. I think many buffets confuse variety for excellence, and in the buffet world, that’s like equating total sexual partners with attractiveness — it hardly ever results in anything but ickiness. This is not to say that Wood Grill is sexy — it aint. Nothing was bad. Nothing was great. The salad bar was definitely fresh. The stations are small enough that nothing gets picked over to the point of dried-up near emptiness before replacement. The desserts were more inspired than most downscale all-you-can-stuff-into-your-festering-gobs joints, which is not to say they were amazing. Good. Like the kind your Nana’s friend brings over when you’re visiting Nana and you have to try a piece. WGB is in the major leagues of buffets… but it’s like the Milwaukee Brewers… good enough to compete, but not to win it all.

Very much like a cleaner, newer version of Golden Corral. Pros: YEASTROLLS! Fried Shrimp, Steak, Onion Rings, Mini Corn Dog, Pot Roast, Pork Ribs, Cornbread, steamed Broccoli, Corn, Squash Medley, Sausage and Peppers, Teriyaki Chicken, Chocolate Pudding, Lemon Meringue Pie, Soft Serve with good toppings, Chocolate Covered Strawberries OK: Mashed Potatoes, Peanut Butter Pie(REALLYSWEET, although lovely light texture!), Mini Donuts, Cherry Cobbler(bland), Cookies & Crème Pie Not ever again, even on a dare: Italian Wedding Soup.
