I like this spot more than others around me. The food is closest to «NY style Chinese”-I wish they would add something extra like other places for going over a certain amount. Would make me more loyal.

Satisfied my craving! Pretty decent taste and for the price $ 6.50 lunch special(szechuan beef, fried rice, and choice of soda or egg roll) I don’t have much to gripe about. I called in the order to go and it was ready in less than 10 mins. This is by far the best option for chinese in the Lake Nona area.

This place is pretty good. Great portions and what is most important, CRISPYVEGETABLES! I hate when my beef and broccoli is mush and this tasted like fresh broccoli! Awesome. $ 6.50 for more than I can eat.

Not bad, really. Usually, places like this have horrible fried rice, but Zhang actually has decent fried rice. You can judge asian restaurant by how they treat their rice. In my book, Zhang did okay. When you go to a strip mall chinese takeout, you gotta have proper expectation. This is a typical chinese take-out. I’ve been here twice and had no problem.

I was a little wary to try this establishment based on their star rating… and then I read reviews and decided to give it a try. Let me clarify by stating when I go to a strip mall Chinese restaurant, I expect Americanized Chinese food. When I go to China Town in San Fransisco, I expect authentic Chinese food. These expectations never waiver. I have ordered take out twice and each time I received excellent service and my meals made fresh as I watched. I have been happy with my orders and the reasonable prices I have paid. The night I went at 9:56 on a whim and the grill had already been cleaned, the chef happily dirtied his grill for me and made a fresh batch of pork egg foo young and was delicious. I highly recommend checking this please out as long as you have appropriate expectations of strip mall Chinese. I am thrilled I did!

The food is not good at all. I tried the beef and broccoli it sucked. I have tried Happy Family it is awful too. I have given up on Chinese in Lake Nona.

Haven’t been here in a while. Mainly because of the yellow fried rice. But yesterday I tried the pork lomein and it was average. I would get that again. I will start to try different menu items in the future because the restaurant is, after all, pretty conveniently located in the neighborhood.

The food is average, and the place looked clean, what I didn’t liked was the man managing the cashier and money was touching the food with bare hands while serving it, that’s unhealthy and disgusting and i think against the rules, definitely a big no! Just because of that I’m not coming back.

Not bad chinese food. This is your typical American Chinese restaurant. All the food you would expect is offered here.

The food here is decent but was more of a convenience than anything as I live nearby. But the TERRIBLE customer service is enough for me to drive farther. I can’t believe the lack of self awareness by the owners. If you want your business to thrive, understand it will take more than a good location.

Their fried rice is yellow. Really. Yellow. I have never ever seen that before. The beef was rubbery. They do not offer Chinese broccoli. Not a fan. On a positive note, the food was ready really quickly and the lady at the counter was nice.

I love this place. Okay, so not every single thing is my favorite, but there are certain things done here that are way better than their local competition. They pan fry their dumplings. PANFRY… do you understand what I’m saying? Pan frying is the delicate tango between frying and steaming that renders a juicy, part crispy, part lusciously moist dumpling. What’s more, the filling has flavor(and chunks of minced garlic-yum!)…and the sauce is divine. No other place around here does this… when you ask for fried dumplings in Lake Nona, you usually get deep fried freezer burnt fair… Not at Zhang Garden. Also, their wonton soup is very good. I skip the fried chips they give you with soup(sadly, they are usually stale), but the broth is rich and salty– not watery like most other take-out joints. My pick for dishes is beef with mushrooms, but my hubs prefers chicken with broccoli or pork egg foo yung. I love the family that runs this place. Always there, always working hard, and they really seem to take pride in what they do. Plenty of my neighbors like this place well enough to eat in the tiny dining space– mostly so they can talk to the family.

The people who are giving this place greater than 1 or 2 stars have to have never had good Chinese food. Lake Nona’s Chinese offerings are some of the worst I’ve ever had in my entire life and Zhang Garden is no exception. I couldn’t wait to have a new Chinese restaurant near my house, and so when I saw Zhang was finally opened I decided I had to get some take out. Wife had Veggie Fried Rice, I had Hot and Sour soup and Szechuan Beef combo. Worst fried rice I have ever had, it wasn’t even fried! There really weren’t any veggies besides the occasional pea or diced carrot. My dish was bland, hot and sour soup did not taste good. It came with an eggroll which was nice, but it too was bland and tasted like freezer eggrolls. Workers were smoking out front which was a total turn off, and additional workers were eating some sort of seafood dish out of those silver buffet/banquet dishes as I walked in. I found this highly unprofessional and a total turn off. Had the food been decent I might give them another shot. I can’t recommend this place.

This restaurant took FOREVER to open.(If you live in the area, you know what I’m talking about). The sign was up for probably 6 months before they finally opened. We were looking forward to Zhang Garden, and very pleased when it finally opened. The food is reasonably priced, pretty much the standard chinese food you can find on any menu. The food is quite good! The owner(who is always there) is very friendly and appreciative of the business. The food(and sauces) were quite good, better than some other places just down the street like Plum Tree and Mr. K’s. I really enjoy this new chinese restaurant and wish them«good fortune»! :-)

Ordered for carryout the«basics»: pepper steak, sweet and sour chicken, lo mein noodles, fried rice, and spring rolls. All were prepared quickly. The counter help was pleasant, and assisted me in deciding what to decide on. Clean restaurant(new). You could tell they had just opened up because the customer service was great! Hope they keep it up. Only negative is that although tasty, the dishes seemed a bit on the greasy side. I will be trying them again in the future.
