Fabulous! I love this shop. This is by far the biggest quilt store I have seen. Huge selection of Batiks! Room after room after room of fabrics. I loved that they had sample quilts and table runners using very different fabrics for the same pattern. Very reasonably priced kits, lots and lots of books, notions and accessories. The staff was delightful. I would definitely go out of my way to visit this store. Allow lots of time!

I found this most delightful store this past friday 12⁄18 and could not be happier with my experience. First of all, the two women that were working were the sweetest and most knowledgeable people. Diane gave me a tour of the store pointing out materials and kits and explaining the process of classes, etc. Linda helped in determining the quantity of materials I would need for my project. I spent TWO hours there with these wonderful people. Most importantly, I was a bit on the down side when I came in and I left there with this remarkable feeling. So, I want to thank each of them for their special ways and I encourage anyone that sews to stop by this marvelous shop!!!

Byrd’s Nest was a little hard to find at first, as they are nestled within a few other shops, but after making a u-turn, it was worth the trip. First, from the outside looking in, it is much larger that it looks! With beautiful fabric wall to wall and with variety I hope to be back soon. They were participating in the row-by-row and had a really cute row, very Floridian. They also offered the 1930s fabric and civil war fabrics. Throughout the store were spots where much of the fabric was discounted. Another thing to take note, all the ladies who worked there were very helpful and friendly. Showed us many projects and ideas and very knowledgable. One of the workers noted there was an area with homemade cupcakes and bottle water. I love their selection.

New to the area, I own two Pfaffs that had weird issues. Asked to speak to the tech before he worked on them, was told he’d call me. He never did. Called the shop back and was told to be there at 10:00 sharp on Monday and I could talk to him. Nope, he wasn’t there. Left the machines with detailed notes about their issues. Got a call the next day that there was nothing wrong with either of them. Stitched on one when I went to pick them up, told the lady helping me(didn’t know she was the owner) that that machine was still doing exactly what I had brought it in for. She got angry at me, was yelling and ranting, blamed me for not having a manual(hey, aren’t you a Pfaff shop?), basically treated me like dirt because I pointed out they hadn’t addressed the problem. Worse than dirt, she was downright abusive. The cashier then insulted both me and my mother. I was stunned. Have never been treated so badly anywhere in my life. All because they didn’t address the repairs I had requested. And of course they insisted I pay for both machines anyway. Amazing. If I could give them negative stars, I would. P. S. When I got home, I sewed on the other machine(which they also said had no problems) to find that it also is still doing what I brought it in for to be fixed. While this tech might be fine at a normal clean-oil-lube servicing, he’s definitely no expert on Pfaffs, nor does he have any ability to tackle more complicated issues.
