Usually the food I get at this location is of the highest quality. I ordered a take out Hook N Ladder salad. Done this many times before always fresh and tasty. Today, not so much. The lettuce was wilted and tinged with a rusty color, there as hardly any meat and that was wads of turkey. There was an odd taste to the lettuce. I throw out lettuce when it looks that bad. The three stars is for today. Before I would have given them five stars. I’ll probably go back and give them another chance, but I’ll probably wait awhile.

You know the food when you come in — great steamed subs! The staff always greets you when you walk in and there is a great assortment of hot sauces to choose from that you can add the FIRE to your Firehouse sub. Comfortable place to site if you are eating in and they even have a lower calorie menu.

Popped my Firehouse cherry here. Although I can’t quite say that what I had justifies as a sub as it was a sandwich. Regardless, it was still delicious. I had a Pork & Slaw sandwich. It’s a good combination of salty and subtle sweet. The saltiness of the pork blends really well with the minor sweetness you get from the Kings Hawaiian buns. I devoured the sandwich so fast I didn’t even know there was cheese in it. When I read the ingredient list I had to second guess myself whether or not there was. It must’ve blended in with the slaw. I would recommend coming here to try it for yourself. I would definitely come back in the future to try other items on the menu. Supposedly their Hook & Ladder sandwich is their«Big Mac.» Might have to try that next time if I am not tempted to try another Pork & Slaw. Service was friendly and had recommendations on what was good.
