I have purchased and traded several firearms here, great business with great prices. The staff is typically knowledgeable but a few of the young ones can come across as cocky. I have had no issues or bad experiences in my dealings with them. They have a broad selection of firearms, knives and accessories. They are limited on their selection of hunting rifles but they will order just about anything out there for you. Overall a great place.

Management — start a numbering system and hire more help. Customer service is non-existent… Watched several customers walk out because they waited 45+mins with no acknowledgement from staff… you are losing business. You may be the biggest player in town, but you could be selling a lot more if you would implement a process to ensure customers are helped in a timely fashion. We just left and my boyfriend was going to purchase a gun if we had been helped… Point in case. Headed to Mason Ave Firearms and Pawn.

The guys at Florida Gun Exchange are some of the nicest most professional guys you’ll meet in the gun business and and especially at a gun store. They helped me with an ffl trade that ended up being a BAD gun and it needed to be shipped back. Jamie the gun smith tried to fix the gun, but couldn’t(and there were other factors), and he didn’t charge me anything! I’ve worked with Chris, Bobby, Alex and they all were polite and did their best to inform me on any questions I had. Most importantly, if they didn’t know the answer to something they didn’t have the huge egos most gun shop guys do to just lie to you, instead, they ask somebody. I’ve torn apart gun shops in person and on Unilocal. These guys are solid. Very few shops consistently are. Selling guns give owners the impression that they’re entitled to be rude and snappy when speaking to customers, these guys don’t do this. Totally recommended. Also, after I sent my broken AK back I bought one from Florida gun exchange that Jamie(the gun smith) had assembled. Good stuff!

Stopped by today for work on the trigger of my M&P 340. The gunsmith, George was just great. He understood what I wanted and did it the same day. I could not be happier. I will be back for other work and the prices on some weapons I looked over where spot on. Nice place.

I went into this store to look at a 1911 to purchase within a few weeks. After circling the store a few times i finally found one that caught my eye after standing in the same spot for close to half an hour and asking multiple people to view a specific gun one finally stoped to let me see the gun. Instead of explaining how everything worked with it or convorsating, the associate just stood there waiting for me to finish looking at it as soon as i was finished he put it back in the case and zipped off. I would have liked to see another gun but i didnt have another half hour to sit around and wait. I would give one star only but they do have a pretty nice inventory. Customer service is non existant.

Not quite sure why all the negatives. I went in looking for a new 9 mm. Ended up with a nice .45. Was greeted by the manager Adam and felt very comfortable speaking with him. Got a couple free t-shirts & a free box of ammo. Florida Gun Exchange gets my vote. Next time I’m in Daytona area, I’ll be sure to stop by again. Too bad they don’t have a gun range!

I’m middle of the road on this place nice select of guns purchased a nice 9 mm against the opinion of my opinionated sales guy he was a real turn off if you are greeted by Chris walk away and wait for someone else or just leave he is just too arrogant and full of BS. George their gunsmith is awesome and this is the only reason I would ever return and so I give them 2 stars because of him otherwise I would go somewhere else in the future I am looking for a new .45 and can’t decide if these are the guys to deal with. I have had several friends who have the same opinion such a nice store but one bad apple does spoil the whole bunch for us. I can’t believe he hasn’t been put in check by management are they thinking the market is so good they can employee these type of sales people long term. There has to be better places to spend my money.

Talk about a HUGE selection. They pretty much had every type of weapon in stock. I was actually shocked by their inventory. What I didn’t care for were how all the accessories were behind the counters so you couldn’t just browse through the gear without assistance. I also picked up a couple of boxes of 22LR ammo since I haven’t seen any in Central Illinois for the past couple months. I bought the 325 count boxes and was SHOCKED by the price tag: $ 41 per box. Good Grief! Just before dickhead caused the huge panic buy, I picked up two boxes of 500 rounds $ 20 each. Talk about price gouging! Anyway, I needed ammo for my son’s rifle so I took it in the pants and bought the ammo.

The new location is absolutely beautiful and the inside is HUGE! Its almost as if once you walk in, you’re in paradise. Another reviewer wrote that the location has been moved to Deland, which is incorrect, Florida Gun Exchange is located north of Daytona, in Ormond Beach. They have also reopened the store in Port Orange off US1. I’ve been a fan of Florida Gun Exchange for years(since they were originally in Port Orange). FGE is where I purchased my first firearm. The staff was knowledgeable and I didn’t feel like I was being pushed towards something that I wouldn’t be able to handle(larger caliber or larger size). They have a wide selection and the best part — its all under one roof.

Good shop if you can get in it. Don’t call on the phone because one person will put you on hold and after about 5 minutes someone else will come on and put you on hold again for about 5 minutes. After three holds I gave up. That is why I buy guns somewhere else and have them shipped to this place. If I could talk with someone I might buy from them but who knows if that will ever happen. Have had the same experience on three different occasions over 1 and ½ years.

This is one of the best gun stores I have visited in a long time. Large, clean, and with a good selection of firearms and accessories. Salesmen are very knowledgeable and willing to talk to you without your feeling rushed. Note: they have recently moved to their new location on Nova Road in Deland.

I had heard good things about this store from a friend so I took a drive out there from Deltona to see if they had a Kel Tec 9 that I was interested in since they had several advertised on their website. Well I get out there, walk in and all the racks are empty. I thought they might’ve been robbed but one of the guys told me most of their guns were at a gun show. Sure there were shotties, rifles and some pistols but everything I was considering wasn’t there at all. They told me to come back another day. Well, I bought my Kel Tec 9, but from another gun shop cause they had one in stock for me when I went in to check it out. I might make another trip out there; their website sure gets you excited on what should be in the store, but I’d advise giving a call first if you’re coming a longer distance to see if their daily stock is not full.
