Visiting Ormond Beach from northern California, I did not expect much here in the way of impressive wine lists or deep wine knowledge. Ormond Wine Company has both! Manager Sharon has a broad knowledge of both domestic and international wine regions and varieties, and delights in discussing new and interesting finds. The Enomatic system is fun and convenient, and besides those selections, there is a wide variety of by-the-glass offerings at the bar. Bottle prices were very reasonable, and with their cheap $ 10 corkage fee, one could enjoy a bottle of wine with meal here for half the price of the same wine at area restaurants.

Great idea, terrible execution. We were greeted by the hostess(if that’s the right word) with indifference and an apparent unwillingness to explain the system until our entire group arrived, which meant that we had nothing to do/eat/drink for the first five minutes or so. The food arrived with glacial slowness and not all at the same time. Some of the choices were delicious, others nearly inedible. On the bright side, the servers were pleasant and wanted us to enjou ourselves; they can’t be blamed for the slow kitchen. The selection of wines in the wine tasting machines was interesting but would improve with more dispensers.

Affordable and fun. Great food — and really — the only place to hang out after 5pm in Ormond. SO happy they are also tasty! Perfect combination of snacks to compliment the beer and wine. Do not miss this place!

Great wine, apps, prices, service, atmosphere, and meals. Need I say more? Flatbreads are great and you can pick and choose cheeses for your cheese plate(love the fruit and nuts it comes with and all the breads). The taste testers are so fun to enjoy and they have nonalcoholic drink choices for those of us not drinking.

Whether enjoying a nice glass of wine solo or with your closest 10 friends, The Ormond Wine Co. is a great place to unwind. They have a nice wine and beer selection as well as tasty flat bread pizzas and sandwiches. Definitely worth a look.

Weak. I’d have liked to enjoy this place. Mgr on staff was overwhelmed with herself and the fact that they were actually quite busy. The fact that they were busy is usually enough to convince me that there is a reason… Sadly, being busy isn’t an excuse to not be enthusiastic to see new faces, tell your story and sit some folks. Didn’t stay. Happy. Yay.

Get to the wine tastings early and start with some flatbreads or the many other wonderful offerings. This is the last place in Ormond left with wine tastings. They have them every Thursdays during the winter time per Facebook. I am new here since my other places have all closed in the area, The wine tasting dispensing system is a great idea and Wednesday it’s ½ price. Drink up! Outside seating is dog friendly as well. You can even order from hooligans next door since they are both owned by the same family.

Interior is great. Nice brick walls l, marble counter top bar, Mumford and sons concert in the DVD player. Not too loud. Not too quiet. Loving the atmosphere. Great for a date that you don’t want to be to uptight at. Craft beers galore. And tons of wines. What more can you ask for?

Classy, dark lit place. It has a nice seating area to have a glass of wine on a date or with friends. It has about 30 different ones available to try out. This winery does not serve up it’s own label, but has some decent wines. I would strongly recommend trying the espresso truffles. They are INCREDIBLE. They have a nice smooth texture and a rich taste. The caramel ones were my second favorite. My friends loved the chocolate cake, but I am not a fan of chocolate cake anywhere. The waitress we had was very sweet and accommodating.

Had dinner here about a month ago while in town visiting a friend and it was awesome. Great atmosphere, bartender was friendly and attentive but not too pushy. I had the chicken and chorizo flatbread which was AMAZING! I have seriously been dreaming about it ever since. I can’t remember exactly what my friend had but I know she enjoyed it. Food did take a little while to arrive but it was a Friday night and the staff was apologetic and for food that good I don’t mind waiting. Overall this is a great place and I plan on visiting again very soon.

The strip mall has a little to be desired. But the pain is we’re great tasting, and the wine selection in the enomatic machines was pretty good. It’s a little pricey, but a great hang out place with great food.

Sleek setting, good service and tons of wine… How can you go wrong? There is also a decently sized food menu and a nice sized selection of beer. $ 1 off type happy hour from 4−7PM…

This place is awesome. The atmosphere is awesome. Very chill and low key. No obnoxious music blaring, and a very attentive staff. The food is awesome. I had the trio of dips which was amazing. The caprese panini was okay. Nothing to write home about. The food that blew my sicks off though was the duck flatbread. Delish and totally worth the drive. The Enomatic Tasting system is best part of the wine bar. You ask for a card that you preload with a dollar amount. You then take the card to the machine and choose a wine to sample. The machine then dispenses two ounce of wine to you chilled to the appropriate temp. It is amazing.

Cute place, fun wines to taste and fun little knick knacks. Worth a stop, especially if the weather is kinda crappy.

I had a great experience at Ormond Wine Company! We had a group of 10 who met there from different parts of Florida. The restaurant was extremely accomodating of our large(and often loud!) group. EXCELLENT wine selection, yummy food, great service, and decent prices! Additionally, while they don’t formally take reservations, they prepared for our large group ahead of time.

I would love to write about the charming atmosphere, as another reviewer did. However, the un-realistically loud women in the corner did some serious damage to the atmosphere. The horrible cackling laughter, screaming and obnoxiousness was so over the top that they drove other patrons away. Add to it they were running the server ragged at times, I had to suppress my need to slap the h*ll out of them. A flight of cabernets helped a little. The House Blue Chips helped even more. The cheese and meat plate was super tasty with honey and bread and yumminess provided. However, I did finally have to make a run out of there so I would not go slap the desperate housewives wannabes.

Charming atmosphere, delicious food, and wine. What more could you hope for, oh yeah how about reasonable prices! The staff is friendly and accessible. I can honestly recommend everything I have ever tasted, which is almost everything on the menu. My personal favorite is a special not on the menu right now, the duck and blue flat bread. If it isn’t available my second favorite is the duck and apple flat bread. Not a duck fan? Neither was I until I tried these flat breads! Still not wanting duck? The chicken and chorizo flat bread is awesome too. The menu consists of: appetizers, paninis, cheese plates, salads and flat breads. The menu also changes so there is often something new to try when you go in. They have a large selection of wines by the glass. The wine by the glass varies too. All of the bottles are available to have with your meal for a ten dollar corkage fee.(and yes you can take home what you don’t finish) Don’t let the corkage fee annoy you. I have compared their retail wine prices and almost every time they are the lowest. The ten dollar fee is in place of the usual mark up you find in restaurants. It is a deal. They have many ways to sample the wine before you choose too. There is a tasting kiosk at the front that dispenses one ounce glasses of wine to try for an average of $ 1.75-$ 3.75. On Wednesdays the machine is set to fifty percent off. They have several flights: two red and two white which are a nice opportunity to have three wines but only one 6 ounce glass, and they sell their glasses in six ounce and three ounce sizes. Did I mention they also have dessert. The coconut crème brule and the chocolate truffle tasting plate are my favorites. On Thursdays starting at 6:30 there is a wine tasting that is only ten dollars. For that price you get to sample six or seven wines with appetizers of great cheeses and olives, and you receive a five dollar credit towards any food or retail purchase that evening. Oh and the Duck and Bleu flatbread is back. Yeah.

I LOVE this place. The food, the atmosphere. Great little terrace for lunch too. I second what Kim H. said about the duck and bleu flat bread. This stuff is A-MA-ZING. Although it’s no longer on the menu, they will actually still make it for you if you ask. They just don’t have the plum sauce anymore that they serve it with, which is really what makes it so good. But hey, if enough people request it, maybe they’ll get it again and put it back on the menu! It’s really the best thing there… not sure why they removed it.

After pulling into a strip mall parking lot off Granada, I did not have high expectations for this wine bar located right next door to Houligan’s Irish Pub. We peeked in the door and saw a small but well-dressed crowd, and decided to give it a shot. I’m so glad we did. I’m not a wine drinker, so I was expecting to put back a house red or perhaps a domestic beer. I was ASTONISHED when I saw the beer list. At over 75 bottles, it represents the majority of quality domestic craft brews and a good selection of imports from Canada and Europe. I had thought Tir Na Nog had the best beer selection in Daytona, but Ormond Wine Company takes the prize. Prices were a little high($ 4.50 — 7.50 for most), but I’ll gladly pay that premium for the selection. The room is quite narrow, but very nicely appointed. The front half features a wine shop and those wine-by-the-glass dispensers that are all the rage. Walking past a small bar, there is a back area with some leather chairs and small tables. Low lighting, candlelight and exposed brick make for a classy atmosphere. I wouldn’t bother with the seating out front or the small back patio, but it’s there. In addition to beer and wine by the glass, they serve a selection appetizers such as pressed sandwiches, flatbreads and cheese plates – good drinking food for when you’re too classy for Taco Bell :) Though I was tempted by the create-your-own cheese plate(cheese a la carte with fruit nuts and bread), I ended up getting crostini with a trio of spreads: tapenade, red pepper hummus and goat cheese /kalamata. The presentation was very nice, and it perfectly complemented our drinks. The service was a bit slow, but not enough to really impact our evening. A wonderful addition to the Ormond scene.
