Beware! I brought my 2008 Chevrolet Impala to Shane’s Auto Detailing to get my windows tinted on 02/05/2016. I trusted his professional looking website and I trusted his word when he told me he’s been tinting for over 20 years. He assured me from the start that he was a professional and my car would be easy for him. I watched him start my car from the side of the garage he works out of. I witnessed him restart the front drivers window over 3 times. He ripped the window film twice and had to start over. He locked himself out of the car several times and had to go to another door to let himself back in. I should have left right then, but he assured me the job would get done fine. Shane seemed to struggle with every window and got frustrated at times. This is the longest I have ever waited to get my car windows tinted. It took Shane 5 hours to tint my Chevy Impala. By the time he was finished it was getting dark, so I didn’t have a great view of all the windows. I was also tired and anxious to get home, so I paid him and started to leave. When I sat in my car I couldn’t see out of the front windshield, because Shane did not clean it after he tinted my windows. I had to go get him to clean my front windshield and return the tool he left in the back windshield of my car. After he cleaned my window I headed back to my house. It was dark now. That evening I wasn’t feeling right about my car windows and was nervous about seeing them the next morning in the light. I inspected the car the next morning and was appalled by what I saw. It was the worst tint job I have ever seen. There was something wrong with every window. Some lines are not even straight. Some windows are not completely covered with window tint. Most of the windows, along the edge, the tint is not even touching the window. The front drivers door window has 2 small holes in the tint. Most of the back windshield, bottom edge, is not attached to window. There are scratches Shane put in the window film when he was trying to seal it. The inside of the back windshield was never cleaned. I could go on and on. I called Shane this morning, 02/06/2016, and requested a full refund of $ 143.78. He told me to bring the vehicle in and he’d fix it. I told him the entire car needed to be redone and didn’t trust him touching my car again. I told him I’d remove the window tint myself and bring back to him. He said no. Then he told me «I’m like everyone else who complains». I said«That should tell you something about your work». After arguing for 5 minutes and him refusing to issue me a refund for his shoddy job, he hung up on me. Do not use this guy. Do not trust this guy with your car. He will tell you he’s been doing it over 20 years and that its easy for him. It will actually take him half the day to do a 2 hr job and it will be a shoddy job. He also left soap residue on my dash, my car door panels, and the back inside windshield. You are forewarned!

I just discovered Shane’s auto tInt on Unilocal, the review from the guy with the Silverado was some strange nonsense and he must have been on a mission to be unsatisfied with whatever Shane was more than polite he made me feel quite at ease and he was a perfectionist. He’s been in town for decades and we knew many of the same old timers from the greater Daytona area. THATINITSELF, made me at ease that he wasn’t a fly by night business. I was so please with the outcome of my suburban that I brought my Tahoe a few days later. I’d recommend him to everyone, he’s in our back yard instead of having to go to Daytona or port orange One of may windows makes a noise from the film and the rubber window gasket and he wants the car in to redo it I just haven’t had the time to get it back to him!!! He’s an honorable guy!!! It’s a good thing for a woman to go alone to an industrial warehouse area and feel quite comfortable and at ease knowing they will get professional work and not be RIPPEDOFF

DONOTUSE, Had to file insurance claim due to damages. I went to Shane in June 2015 to tint 4 windows on my brand new Silverado. I chose him because he has a deceiving professional website for the tinters in the Ormond Beach area. He charged me $ 80.00 which in hind sight was to cheap. When I got my truck back, not only was the tint applied poorly, but he cut up my window trim, damaged the seals, scratched my paint in two spots, and left glue and chemical residue all over the inside of my truck. When I contacted him he said to wait for 7 days for the tint to settle and he would fix anything that was wrong. I brought it back to him to fix the next week. He had it all day, and when I picked it up at 6pm not only was the tint he replaced still grossly wrong, but the damaged areas he tried to fix were now worse than before. He essentially tried to sand out the scratches in the trim and paint. I wish I could post the pics. I contacted him again to ask for him to pay for the damages, and he cut off all communication. I had to file an insurance claim, and the damages totaled $ 2800.00. They had to replace the seal channels in all 4 windows, the trim in all 4 windows, re-dye(I think) the interior trim due to chemical damage, and repaint the doors and the rear quarter panel. Yes he tried to sand out some unrelated scratched on the quarter panel without permission. Now I’m out the $ 80.00 for the tint job, my $ 200.00 deductible, and since the insurance co, won’t cover the tint, another $ 200.00 to get the tint removed and replaced. DO not EVER use him no matter how cheap it’s not worth it!
