I am not one to leave reviews. In fact, this is the first review I have ever left. I will not be returning to Ideal Physical Therapy. While the quality of care was ok, their billing practices are not. Upon initiating my daughter’s care there, I was given a very vague answer of how much her treatments would cost. I suppose that should have been my first red flag. After receiving my first bill, I was appalled to see that four(30 minute) treatments for my 5 year old daughter cost $ 927. My insurance did not pay any of it due to my deductible having not been met. There was an «adjustment» made to the charges but it still did not come anywhere near what«cash paying» patients pay. I am a medical professional and I understand the insurance billing game. While I don’t find it entirely ethical, I know what goes on behind the scenes. When I called the number on my bill to find out how much individual treatments cost, I was told they were $ 20 less than what I am being charged after the«adjustment». When I asked if there was any way to adjust my bill to reflect what«cash paying» patients are paying, I was told that would be fraudulent. These billing practices seem pretty fraudulent to me.

My son plays football for Ironwood and hurt his back lifting weights during training. He went to a Orthopedic doctor and was referred to Ideal Rehab. Making the first appointment was a pain in the butt because it is a central number not the actual Oro Valley location but once you get past that it is smooth sailing. Kim is AMAZING! She is an athlete herself and understands how they work, body and mind! She has been working on my son and he has done GREAT. She has taught him proper ways to move and lift and it has helped more than I can express. I would highly recommend Kim and her staff if you or your kids ever need PT.
