Imagen Salon and Day Spa

I have been coming to Imagen for about a year now seeing Amber Zabaleta and she is absolutely amazing! She is always consistent and keeps my hair so healthy, I’m always excited to come to my hair appointments because I KNOW every time I’ll leave with the perfect hair color and cut. Amber is the best!!!

I see Amber at Imagen salon and I love her! I have been going to her for about 3 years for my hair cuts and color. When I first went in to see her we talked about the look and color I was going for and she nailed it! I love the cut and color of my hair and have gotten so many compliments on it, even from other hair stylists that I know. She puts beautiful blonde highlights with a light brown base and tones it so that it all blends perfectly. It’s my favorite color I’ve ever had! She cuts my hair just the way I like it, even when I say let’s cut 4 – 5 inches off! She layers it perfectly and it looks amazing. Amber is wonderful and always willing to fit me in with my work schedule, even if that means coming in early or staying late. The salon itself is very beautiful and clean and modern. The front desk staff are always so nice and welcoming. I cannot see ever going anywhere else. I would recommend Amber to anyone looking for a fabulous stylist!

So this is the first place I have found in Tucson that I have gone back to more than once in my almost five years of living here. I go and get my haircuts with Amber and she is great to interact with and get a great cut from. When you get your hair washed, she starts off by giving you a little massage that just melts me to butter every time! All I would need is a glass of wine and you would think I was having the best me time ever!
The salon itself is beautiful and clean. Everyone is super friendly too. I had one time where I looked like I really needed a haircut and Amber was a total miracle worker and agreed to have me come on over at the last minute. That time I also even made the mistake of not bringing any form of payment and they were totally cool about me going home and calling them with my credit card number. I on the other hand, was thoroughly embarrassed.
So if you need a place, try here! I will keep coming back here!

If I were to describe Amber from Imagen Salon, it would be «SPACE CADET». Before my disappointing hair session with Amber, I had come across a couple of spectacular reviews on her work especially with one client who said she did a great job cutting her hair despite the many «cowlicks» she had. My initial thought on that client’s review on how Amber successfully managed her «cowlicked» head was, «If Amber can handle that hair challenge then she could surely do simple layering on my hair.» To make a long story short, that was not the case. As soon as I arrived at Imagen, I was greeted by Amber. Her demeanor left me with the impression that she has the personality of a «wet mop» and her level of professionalism was less than stellar. Before she took me in the back to wash my hair, I had specifically told Amber I wanted a few inches taken off and most importantly LAYERS. After my description, she seemed to have understood what I wanted. As she began cutting my hair and blow drying it, I could not help but notice how sloppy her work on me was. After she was done I had a cut that was shorter than I had asked for and no LAYERS. Ladies and Gents if you are serious about getting your hair done by a competent hair dresser, Amber is not it. Seriously, any details that you give her about what you want done will go through one ear and out the other.

I really don’t know where to begin… I booked an appointment with David today and it was BY FAR the best visit I have ever had in a salon. First, he listened to my desire to get back to natural hair color and helped me develop a program to get there. Next, his massage to your neck and head when shampooing you is beyond fantastic. Finally, he went so far out of his way to style my hair after my color that I was honestly moved, especially when a simple blow-​dry would’ve sufficed (and he has this awesome brush/​curling set that is amazing). He clearly is knowledgeable and goes so far above the «call of duty» that I am so excited to book my appointment with him asap!

This was my first time here and I have to say from the moment I walked in I felt «home»
Everyone at the front desk was very nice, the place it’s self is by far one of the nicest Salons I’ve ever been to. Erica was absolutely amazing!!! I walked in a complete mess from a previous nightmare of a stylist. My hair was yellow and my cut is so bad I felt I needed a wig

My sister-​in-​law recommended Prisma at Imagen Salon and I absolutely love it. I have been going to her for 2 years now. It is such a beautiful salon. I would recommend her to anyone.

Brittany was so great with my little girl today! She did a fantastic hair cut and was so sweet. It was a great experience with 2 small kids!

Had my hair cut and highlighted by Randi Richins. It turned out beautiful! I have a ton of thick long hair and the color was so amazing and the best cuts that I ever get. I have been to her several times, and is my favorite experience. she is very pampering, and knows the up to date styles and techniques. She is very sweet and fun! the salon is very glamorous and feels very upscale. Not your typical salon experience. Loved it!

On June 6 I received a call from the owner, IRIS. She had not been informed or aware of my experience until the day she called. She appropriately gave profuse apologies stating this is not how she does business nor is it how she wants their guests treated. An appointment was made with her for June 13 and she cut and colored my hair. I am pleased with the cut, and the color will be an ongoing process as we determine the exact shade that is desired. During my appointment wiht IRIS, AMBER stopped and stated she was glad to see that I was with IRIS. That is not an apology, but is probably going to be the best that can be expected from her. I will make another appointment at IMAGEN and continue to monitor the progress. Be assured, however, future appointments will not be with AMBER. Although it took nearly 3 weeks for IRIS to become aware of my experience, I am very pleased by her willingness to «make it right»!

Erica Padilla from Imagen Salon and Day Spa is fabulous! I style my hair everyday and having my hair long just wasn’t working for me anymore. I was ready for a change. I developed a great relationship with Erica, so she knew my hair and my personality. I like to change my look to match my day-​to-​day style. I told her to create a style that she thought would work for me and she did! «Short with style» I love that in the 5 years that she has been my stylist, I can just walk in and feel confident that she’s going to give me a style that makes me feel amazing! My family and friends were in shock to see me in short hair, but were amazed on how great it looks. Complete strangers will stop me-​to compliment my color and hairstyle.
I’m very loyal to Erica, I highly recommend her!

I just had to write in tell you about my amazing cut and color I always receive by Erica P. She has been doing my families hair for over 2 years now. I have very curly hair and she cuts it so I can wear it straight or curly. She really listens to what we want. My daughter gets the Keratin treatment from Erica P. and absolutely loves how soft it makes her hair. We drive across town to receive services from Erica. It’s hard to find someone who cuts curly hair, she does an amazing job. She also does mine and my daughters facial waxing. The employees are always so nice and helpful.

All good things to say about Imagene. I get my hair done by Erica and she always does an excellent job. Everyone is always very nice and the customer service is always at its best. The facility is very nice and very clean.

Melissa Wilcox is my hair stylist at Imagen. Melissa has been cutting and coloring my hair for ten years, and I have always been very happy with the finished product! Melissa is very professional and attentive. She listens to my requests and/​or concerns and always has an acceptable solution! Melissa is also very accommodating, when she can be, if you are needing to change or make an appointment last minute. I would highly recommend Melissa for all your hair needs, men, women and children!

I have been going to Melissa at Imagen for two years now. I live in CA but wait until I’m in AZ so she can cut and color my hair. Everyone at the salon is so welcoming and Melissa always listens to what I want and does an amazing job. Check her out!

I had a lovely experience at Imagen — the vibe is serene and rejuvenating. The manicure was a shellac and lasted the better part of a month. The pedicure was quite nice as well.
The massage was well balanced to meet my needs of relaxation and sports injury remediation. Thanks Imagen!

Amber is the only person in tucson I trust to touch my hair, and I trust her so much that I just go in and ask her to just do what she thinks looks best (though i drew the line at bangs)! I get so many compliments on my hair, and I hand out her card left and right.
The salon is very upscale and relaxing, the whole experience is a real treat. give them a call and ask for amber!
