We camped here in late June with the kids. We camped in the walk in sites. it was a long haul to and from the car with all of our gear, about a half mile each way. Not too bad, but it was 90 degrees on the day we arrived. It was worth it though, because there is no car traffic in the walk in sites. It was very windy 2 of the 3 nights we stayed. One night so bad we couldn’t even light a campfire because sparks were flying and with the dry conditions we were concerned about starting a brush fire. The park rangers came through to deliver ice and firewood twice a day. Each site has a designated tent site that is on sand, bordered on two sides by a fence. There was a swimming area, but the entire beach was covered in geese droppings and was pretty gross.
